Why are we trying to compete with Hillsborough?
Honestly for the past few days I've heard nothing but 'how come Liverpool get a national mention but we never do'
We have our silence and rememberance at Valley Parade before our last home game, and also at Town Hall on the 11th. That's the way Bradford has always remembered, that's the way many Bradford City fans want it, that's the way many of the families want it.

Whilst I agree with the sentiment, sometimes it is just too raw to have it thrown down throats and highlighted by the media. Hillsborough is different in every way, and that's because of the families fight for justice.

Ben - Bradford City fan.

I fully support this petition as a Luton Town supporter. The 56 poor souls who died on that terrible day has almost disappeared from living memory outside of Bradford yet it should not have been allowed. The Justice for the 96 campaign has eclipsed this terrible tragedy and although right to get that justice we should never forget that terrible day in 1985.I hope the FA listen and act on this petition.
Good luck RIP the 56.

RIP to those that perished at or following the fire at VP. I agree fully with Ben on this, we deal with it with respect and dignity in our own way and don't want the national recognition others may seek

it was even worse when I had to watch the video again for training purposes and the only commentary was the police radio

Such a tragedy and loss of life. We pay our respects (and rightly so) to the Hillsborough victims, and we should also remember the 56 Bradford fans who perished. RIP to you all xx

#30: Ben -

Respect to your comments Ben , but i don't think this is a compete with Hillsborough petiton , the football world shouldn't forget those who perished that day .

The city of Bradford will always remember in their own dignified way , so a minutes silence is the least the rest of us can give to remember the 56 .

The least we can do is remember them.

Remember this when you hear the "Who Ar Ya" song

I'd go as far as suggesting delayed kick offs again next year. It needs more than simply a minutes silence IMHO. An Oldham Athletic Fan in Kent.

Thoughts are with all - two of the fifty six were Lincoln fans and the tragedy is frequently remembered by the older and respected by the younger supporters. RIP.

RIP to all the fans who tragically lost their lives. To my mind, this is more important reminder than Hillsborough & should always be remembered

Nobody should go out for an afternoon's enjoyment and not come back whether at a football match or any other event. The 56 victims of this tragedy along with all others that were affected should never be forgotten.
