Sounds like typical Edinburgh nimbyism. Everything getting complained about by the old diddies of Morningside who don't even visit the city centre.

If the council can have fairground shows in princes street and in St Andrew's Square, how can the Kyloe Cow not be left as is, perhaps if the council had discount for eating there..................

Job's worth! Keeping up standards is one thing and stopping businesses providing suitable and appropriate advertising and marketing is another. This example pleases! Its a landmark and a tourist attraction benefit. The Council should spend more time pursuing appallingly presented properties not picking on a superb and characteristic high street business frontage.

Leave the coo alone or I'll phone the RSPCA! Seriously it's a brilliant feature that adds character to the area. After all the damage and loss if business from the dreaded trams the Council should leave well alone.

The Kyloe cow is an entertaining and informative presence on the building, adding to its character and confirming Edinburgh as a welcoming , relaxed and creative city.

Really Edinburgh Council. Focus your time and money on better things. It's not as if your reputation isn't already at rock bottom

I completely agree! It became a tourist attraction, everybody loves it! I don't understand why they would want to remove it now

Get a life Edinburgh Council. The alleged 'Complainants' are probably all Council Employees.Leave the Businesses that have to work hard to pay the rates, to pay your wages, alone.

This is typical of Edinburgh District Council and the Planning Department in particular. They pick on the small matters and leave the big issues and big people alone. They pay no attention to the wishes of the council tax payers they are supposed to represent.

I think this is ridiculous that they should be worried about a cow looking out of a window considering the disruption caused by the tram works that are not even in service yet.

The Kyloe cow is part of Edinburgh just down the road a steel and glass monstrosity is planned The councillors of Edinburgh shouldn't have their noses up a cows arse as much as they do. Kyloes is the best eating place in Edinburgh and the Kyloe cow is part of it. Next it will be the cow on the pavement!! then they will put lots of hideous signs up in its place for drongos who cant read a street map!! Keep the cow

Unbelievable that the council has this stance! They tear down historic buildings and replace with hideous 'architectural' rubbish. Carltongate, parliament, the trams to name three. To worry about a cow is ludicrous!
