Because I disagree with th eproposal to close Marple postal sorting office. If the office closes it will be very difficult for Marple people to collect undelivered mail as public transport is not viable if the service is relocated to Stockport

Because I thought it the right thing to do!

Disabled, elderly and disadvantaged people and families. Many of whom won't be able to get to Delivery Offices easily and would incur costs which they probably wont be able to afford. There is also the loss of jobs to be considered. I am appalled that once again essential services are being withdrawn from communities.

Because we don't want to lose it and the service with local knowledge

Became the Marple sorting office provides an invaluable service and the local knowledge and relationships built up over the years could not be replaced if the service was removed from the area.

It would appear that Royal Mail prefers to pay its postmen/women to sit in traffic jams as they travel back and forth, collecting and delivering mail and parcels between Green Lane Stockport and the local Marple and surrounding communities that the current office serves. How does this fit in with greater operational and cost efficiencies? Furthermore, Royal Mail clearly states on its website that a key part of its strategic customer initiatives includes "investing in enquiry offices to enhance customer experience" It's hard to understand why Royal Mail believes that by removing simple access to a much used and valuable local service along with the local knowledge, built up for decades by local postmen/women, will not have a detrimental effect on its local service. Unbelievable and certainly not a first class, or even second class, service proposal.

The post people are Bredbury are excellent - the service provided is vital. The traffic is so bad that to go to the other side of Stockport to collect a parcel would be a nightmare and I would start to use myhermes again instead. How would people manage who have no car?

It is very important to have Royal Mail delivery offices close by as it is very important to the community. Especially for those that cannot travel far due to disability and illness to pick up packages etc.

It's impossible to park at Green Lane due to the few parking places available in s very tight parking area, in addition it's 3/4 miles through conjested roads and would mean 2 buses for people without their own transport.

Bredbury Sorting office is an asset to local people. It is convenient to collect mail and parcels that cannot be delivered to the address for various reasons. Where else would we go to collect them?

It's on the next road. My partner and I do a lot of internet shopping and it's incredibly convenient.

It is a 1.1/2 hour trip to collect parcels if the local sorting depot is closed.

In the semi rural communities, we are already loosing our banks, the local bus frequency is being reduced, causing more people to Shop online, online shopping requires purchases to be delivered the local sorting office is part of our basic fabric as a community .
