#Black Arts Matter - Save The Drum

It's a valuable cultral resource in the community & a lovely place to hold a function at

Bringing cultural diversity to the doorstep of many who would ever have experienced some of the arts.

We need this open ,to get the kids off the streets

I know Newton well and this is an area that needs regeneration and investment. The Drim is one of the few resources in the area for the arts and is an essential part of community cohesion as well as providing opportunities for young people to do the arts.

I have attended various events at The Drum and enjoy the variety it has to offer to local people.

The I only venue in the locality that conveys and reflects my cultural heritage in a social setting is being closed. Birmingham City should be proud to have such a fantastic facility which enables the celebration of individuality outside of London. I don't want to go to London.

Please save this beautiful venue., Birmingham needs it.

The Drum is a valuable asset which has the potential for major developments in:- media, entertainment, the arts, educational training projects, international global networking. It serves a good purpose for the local community using it.

In addition it is a very good location and forum for international business networking.

The drum is a great place to go to see many black artists...it nice and clean and always a good atmosphere when u go there with no problems... Everything to keep young people off the street they want to close instead of the government helping with funding....

We black folk need to unite and keep what's ours going. We deserve togetherness as much as the next culture.

The drum helps to keep different cultures alive that would not be seen in main stream theatres. The drum gives small and upcoming artist a platform for exposure and to developement of their skills and craft.

To keep the Drum open to the community

Shandouze! I've seen life changing artists perform at this venue and my sister given a platform to launch her career. This venue opens oportunities for us all. It is places like these within our community that prevent the government fire fighting when social disintigration as gone too far.

There is no other venue in Birmingham for black arts , it benefits the black youth , children ,schools , the wider communities , just about everyone realy , it would a shame if it closed down !

The Drum provides a valuable services to the community of a diverse ethnic nationality and cultures and is appreciated by the different generations. Please save a valuable resource.

I have supported several people who have held events there. Its in a prime location with easy access which functions to a range of different nationalities if my signature can make a difference in saving the Drum and obtaining funding count me in .

I've been going to the drum for over 10 year's now my kids go there so it's a now an historical building to me my families and friends.

MUST BE KEPT OPEN AS AN OUTLET!!

Because that is the only place we can got to see art have a meal and see comedy.

To keep the Drum going.

Because the Drum helps lots of young people to access their space and has been a brilliant supporter of somewhereto_, a Lottery funded project that gives opportunities to young people 16-25. Please do not close this space that is so integral to the local community!

The Drum is the only venue that provides arts programmes aimed at and enjoyed by the wider black community and should not be closed.

Because it's vital that we don't loose this Black Arts Centre !!!'

We as a black nation need somewhere we can have concerts, arts, music shows and a place we can meet as one people.
Give God praise for having faithf.
