If judges are going to destroy a dog just because they think it may be a danger then they may as well destroy all dogs regardless of breed as every one of them could potentially bite someone! It's the family's choice and therefore what right is it of a court to dictate what breed a family should own????!!! Outright disgrace all of this BSL legislation!! It's doing nothing productive and destroying family pets that have never shown any aggression. The so called test they are put through should never be allowed to stand! Usually men which look intimidating to most dogs in a strange environment trying to promote a response to justify the destruction of a dog that isn't even usually a banned breed!! This bull shit law needs to be ended asap!!!

pienso que los perros la agresividad de los perros depende de quien los crie, ellos son como las personas, si crias un niño con malas costumbres, tendras un delincuente en el futuro. si crias un perro con maltrto y provocando su agresividad, sera peligroso cuando crezca. en fin creo que los agresios son sus dueños, no ellos.

I believe this dog is a true family pet, any dog can turn on a child, whatever the breed, it all depends how a dog is treated.

This is a child's pet - Not all pit bulls are bad!!!! If you have to break a child's heart at least let Teddy be relocated as this animal has done nothing wrong - Granted the family should have respected the town's rule - but putting down a perfectly good pet is just plain wrong -

I have two rescue pit mixes and they are awesome, gentle, friendly. To remove, and possible destroy, a pet from the only home it's known without provocation, and to not even try to come up with a compromise that everyone is comfortable with, based on breed alone is a huge discrimination. So disappointing.

I live in a city full of pit bulls. This dog isn't a pit bull and may not even be a mix. Someone needs to get these magistrates to understand that.

I am outraged at this injustice. Where is the proof that this dog is dangerous. ANY dog has the possibly of biting a child or anyone else...including a small dog. I am just so upset when I read this story..the unfairness and the ridiculous statements....who the heck does this Geoff Earl think he is? God? I think Duffy had a very good argument and any reasonable person would probably agree..but Earl seems to have his own agenda which has NOTHING at all to do with the dog..but rather his PERSONAL feelings...he does not belong in a position of power...get rid of him and let the dog live with the family he adores.

You can just look into this dogs eyes and see nothing but Love!! He has never hurt anyone. People are the ones that make animals the way they are. If love is given to an animal they will return that back! I hope and Pray for this precious looking dog that his life will be spared. Please think of how this is going to affect the little girl. In the picture you can tell they are the best of friends.

Breed legislation is just ridiculous. There are studies after studies that show that pit bulls are no more dangerous than any other breed. There are no bad dogs; jut bad owners. Breed restrictions are put in place by uneducated uninformed people.
