Thank you Save Longridge Residents Group.
I've just sent my email and shall tweet a link to this page to my followers. Wish I could be at the mtg tonight but I am travelling with business. I would love to be involved though. United we stand! Jenny

I as a long time resident of Longridge agree wholeheartedly with this letter. If the development(s) are allowed to go ahead then the very reason for people wishing to live here will be destroyed. If as planned, multi-bedroomed houses are built prospective buyers will think again when they realise their children may have difficulty getting into a local school. Remember, those living closest to some schools have priority.

Email sent to council. Please stop the landgrab for our beautiful area - where will all the cars go? It has to be stopped!

#7 This development must be stopped

When all the current developments (approved and awaiting approval) are super imposed onto the existing map of Longridge. The developed area of the town (as I see it) will increase by approximately 33 - 40 percent. Some of this is already on-going and can not be stopped.

Objections duly sent to the RVBC

We have the same problem with the Ridings development. Over 400 houses to be built on mainly Greenbelt land so glad to add my support for the campaign

Both my husband and myself strongly agree with your stance. Longridge neither needs nor wants these houses. The infrastructure can barely cope now and will certainly not cope if this building of houses carries on. Yes the council and certain businesses will be rubbing their hands together as they think they will make more money BUT the increase in council tax revenue will come at the cost associated with larger populations and increased needs of the 'inhabitants' and for businesses the increase in theft and vandalism etc. Longridge people will see the destruction of their surroundings, loss of 'peace of mind', lack of schools, doctors, increased flooding, increased traffic on already poor roads, therefore, increase in road accidents, increase in crime and we will have to look at the distinct 'eyesores' that these building companies dare to call houses.
