Both my husband and myself strongly agree with your stance. Longridge neither needs nor wants these houses. The infrastructure can barely cope now and will certainly not cope if this building of houses carries on. Yes the council and certain businesses will be rubbing their hands together as they think they will make more money BUT the increase in council tax revenue will come at the cost associated with larger populations and increased needs of the 'inhabitants' and for businesses the increase in theft and vandalism etc. Longridge people will see the destruction of their surroundings, loss of 'peace of mind', lack of schools, doctors, increased flooding, increased traffic on already poor roads, therefore, increase in road accidents, increase in crime and we will have to look at the distinct 'eyesores' that these building companies dare to call houses.
