In the interests of better community safety

I think the ability to call in and talk directly to a police officer and the knowledge of having someone who can make a quick response is a huge potential benefit to the wider community.
Reduced response times and proactive patrols based somewhere locally, when the asset of the Clive Police Station is still suitable, just seems to make sense!

Cameron Burton (Clive-Haumoana, 2024-10-21)

Clive is my home town. Since removing the family cop from Clive it has turned into a crime zone.
Need someone who can be there for local community and surrounding area.

Sonya Ferguson (Clive, 2024-10-22)

#9

It is a great idea and I am fully behind the proposal.

Craig MacErlich (Clive, 2024-10-22)

#18

We need a manned police station in our community. Im feedup having to wait ( long period of time) for law enforcements to come to our aid!

Shirlene Whaitiri (Hastings, 2024-10-22)

#19

WE NEED IT

Cat Kynoch (hastings, 2024-10-22)

Local knowledge of the area and quick response times can help as a preventative and make our small coastal communiyu safer and supported.

Margie Thomas (Haumoana, 2024-10-22)

#22

We need police available locally

Anne West (Haumoana, 2024-10-22)

#24

A local police presence has been greatly missed and to have them based back in the local community again will provide confidence and security for all.

Garth Davis (Clive, 2024-10-23)

#28

I believe a police presence in Clive will help reduce a lot of the antisocial behaviour in Clive and help the community to feel safer.

Celia Lister (Clive, 2024-10-23)

#29

I belive having a police presence in Clive will help all the Cape coast

Matt Goodin (Haumoana, 2024-10-23)

In today’s society it’s important to show presence

Kym Palleson (Clive, 2024-10-24)

Wendy Babe (Hastings, 2024-10-27)

#46

I believe there is real value in having a community police presence. The Police person becomes connected to the community gaining trust and insight into local issues.

Margot Wilson (Hastings, 2024-10-27)

#50

I am signing because the crime rate in Clive Te Awanga, Haumoana, Tuki Tuki Valley has skyrocketed. Police response and concern is non existent.

Diana Bell (Hastings, 2024-10-28)

#51

This site has been vacant for far too long.

Andrew Clibborn (Hastings, 2024-10-28)

Shaz Buczynski (Clive, 2024-10-28)

#55

I live in Clive & have my whole life 51 years.
At times it doesn’t feel safe anymore.
I fully support this petition to try to reinstate the Clive Community Police Station to have Clive thrive once again.

Kellie Hannan (Hastings, 2024-10-28)

#58

I am an ex Napier resident. Clive needs this!

Paula Reay (Christchurch, 2024-10-28)

#67

Because too much crime has been happening in Clive and surrounding areas.. and it would be great to have the Law in the vicinity on call and when we need.

Trina Kara (Haumoana, 2024-10-28)

#68

I am a Clive resident and am concerned about the increase in crime in Clive.

Dennise Elers (Hastings, 2024-10-28)

#75

We need to have permanent Police presence in Clive. People who commit crimes in our community are well aware that it takes Police 5 - 10 minutes (if not longer) to get to Clive. We do not feel safe without a Police Officer based in Clive.

Sue Chambers (Clive, 2024-10-28)

#76

We have a police owned empty office and a proactive community officer who's office is his vehicle
Combine the 2 and we can have an asset where we can go to and have essential contact and assistance.

Noeleen Williams (Haumoana, 2024-10-28)

#78

I am a Clive local. Have been since a child. The crime has got out of hand and more frequent.

Jessica Scott (Clive, 2024-10-28)

#79

We live in Whakatu and crime rate has risen in the area.

Meri Wichman (Hastings, 2024-10-28)

#82

Too much crime in Clive

Philip Bond (Clive, 2024-10-28)

#83

i want to feel safe where i live, and know that the community around me is being monitored and supported.

Coral Buczynski (Hawkes Bay, 2024-10-28)

#84

The cape Coast communities, Clive, Haumoana, Te Awanga and Whakatū are all growing, with more younger families and new housing developments. Basing a police officer in Clive not only utilises the station but it's central to Napier, Hastings and Havelock. There should be 1 or 2 community police covering towns 10 to 15 km outside the main Centres.
Flaxmere, Havelock, Bayview, Clive, Taradale. That's only 10 Police

Steffen Kara (Clive, 2024-10-28)

#86

I believe that a local police presence is necessary in the cape coast area. This will hopefully reduce our rising crime rate.

Paul Heaps (Clive, 2024-10-28)

#88

Having a Police Station back in Clive is very important. Crime is going up in the Clive arrear, and Police presence in the area will help prevent it as it takes too long for Units to come from Napier or Hastings. Cape Coast Community Patrol can only do so much. Bring back our Cops!

Arran Prideaux (Clive, 2024-10-29)

#91

even if it is used twice a week for 2 hours at a time

mark elstone (Clive, 2024-10-29)

#95

I'm signing because I'm sick of seeing the crime rate rise in Clive and good hard working people's stuff getting stolen or vandalised due to these goons. Make Clive safe again and reinstate it's police presence and police station.

Darryn Hannan (Clive, 2024-10-29)

#100

I’m signing because I believe having community constables who can forge positive relationships with their community is far more beneficial and rewarding both for the Community and the Police themselves. Its all about building better community relationships and greater trust.

Marilyn Scott (Hastings, 2024-10-29)

#103

All community's should have policing!

Sherilee Sherman (Napier, 2024-10-29)

#107

Because Clive Needs it

Matt CURTIS (Hastings, 2024-10-29)

#113

Our community has been hit hard with crime

Rob Murray (Hastings, 2024-10-29)

#114

I am reading and hearing of more burglaries in and around Clive and have concerns about the number of children involved and potentially becoming involved.

Debbie Bakkerus (Clive, 2024-10-29)

#115

Clive was a safe place. No longer safe 😢

Nick Beck (Clive, 2024-10-29)

#119

I was born and raised in Clive and I know this village and surrounding townships need the support of a local police presence

Gaylene Wright (Hastings, 2024-10-29)

#120

Most of my relelatives live in Clive and it's become clear that a local Police service has been required for years.

Rebecca Lee-Metcalfe (Craigie, 2024-10-29)

#124

I’m signing because there is too much dodgy stuff happening in Clive. We feel unsafe and uneasy wondering if tonight our place will be ripped off or our cars would be broken into. Cameras are doing nothing these days. They are not scared of cameras.

Zack Knox (Clive, 2024-10-29)

#126

We recently had motorbikes stolen and case closed after our initial phone call. No "policing" whatsoever

Claudia Heaps (Clive, 2024-10-29)

#127

We need a police officer in clive again

Jasmine McDonald (Clive, 2024-10-29)

#129

I own a house in Clive and police is much need out there

Marlene Welsh (Twyford, 2024-10-29)

#134

Would like a more active and community focussed presence of the police in the area

Ihaia Rollo (Whakatu, 2024-10-29)

#136

Since we arrived in 2020 there has been a steady increase in unsettling behaviour - ram raids, people coming onto properties, cars broken into, stolen property from houses / garages, fires, people speeding / doing burnouts and more. Clive feels quite isolated from where the closest police stations are.

Augusta Grayson (Clive, 2024-10-29)

#139

We need police in communities it allows people to feel safe
Napier also should have a police station open
Policing on community creates connection

Susie Chapman (Napier, 2024-10-29)

#142

Clive has been without an up and running police station for too long.

Nicky O’Rourke (Hastings, 2024-10-29)

#144

I'm signing because it is totally necessary for the Police station in clive to be manned due to the increase in crime and criminals getting off Scott free or not prosecuted at all. Enough is enough

Maria Panagiotidis (Hastings, 2024-10-29)

#149

I live in Clive, a city with growing crime and no police officer close by. Bring our police man back. Or police woman for that matter.

Dzidra Mchenry (Clive, 2024-10-29)

#150

We need this! So many types being slashed! Stuff being stolen...

Matewai Timu (Clive, 2024-10-29)

#155

Im a resident of Clive and am aware of the needs of our community

Michelle Grant (Clive, 2024-10-29)

#157

I don’t feel safe in my neighbourhood anymore

Annie Drager (Clive, 2024-10-29)

#158

I live in Awatoto.

Shayne Govsky (Napier, 2024-10-29)

#165

We have the right to feel safe in our community

Tania Thomson (Napier, 2024-10-29)

#173

I think clive needs its police station manned due to the residents not feeling safe in their community anymore

Kiri Blackburn (Napier, 2024-10-29)

#175

This Police Station should have never been closed down in the first place...

John Spain (Clive, 2024-10-30)

#176

I know the value, from experience, of having a visible police presence locally in Clive

Tony Moore (Clive, 2024-10-30)

#177

Because my Grandaughters & my daughter live in Clive, attend Clive Primary school & I’d like to be reassured that Police are close by if an emergency happens. Thanks.

Lisa Skudder (Hastings, 2024-10-30)

#178

Clive police is badly needed and should have never ever been closed in the first place. The crime is out of control in the area since the police station closure with various ram rades to the Clive shops and burglaries almost every evening and community does not feel safe. Having this station open provides quicker response and safety to the community and surrounding areas. I have an elderly mother in Clive on her own and I fear for her safety and others since there is no police presence in the area.

Andre Macfarlane (Clive, 2024-10-30)

#180

Due to rising crime in our area. Police presence is needed.

Sue Moot (Clive, 2024-10-30)

#184

It is a needed community resource

Matthew Bennett (Hastings, 2024-10-30)

#185

I’ve always believed the community Policing centres are very important and a valuable resource. A personal touch in small townships has a positive effect on the community as well as for the police in terms of solving crimes with community support and resolving community issues.

Bruce PERKINS (Clive, 2024-10-30)

#189

I lived in Haumoana for over 15 years and crime of all sorts got way more after the Clive police station got closed. From burnouts to gangs camping illegally at the beach to burglaries.

Beate Bergdolt (Paraparaumu, 2024-10-30)

#192

We need a local police presence in our Clive community

Craig McCartney (Clive Hawkes Nay, 2024-10-30)

#194

I live in Clive. This would b amazing to have open again. Way to much crime here in Clive now

Kelly Lucad (Clive, 2024-10-30)

#199

Pretty simple---lots of crime in the area---need police back in Clive.

maggie taylor (haumoana, 2024-10-30)
