My doctor, dentist and pharmacy are in Plympton. I am nearly 80 and although I drive at the moment this won’t last forever. Lots of people living in Sherford do not drive or have access to a cat.Jan Wheeler (Sherford, 2024-10-21)

There is no public transport from Sherford to Plympton. Is unsafe to walk due to no footpaths. I have to drive my son everyday due to this reason. Get this sorted. The people that live in Sherford shouldn't have to be doing this just to get the basic infrastructure available.Tina Siani (Devon, 2024-10-21)

I live in Sherford and our kids need a bus to Plympton. Kids are walking along a dangerous road where there are Jo pavements or descent lighting. This is an accident waiting to happen.Nicola Watt (Plymouth, 2024-10-22)

It is utterly ridiculous that there is no safe passage to Plympton, given its proximity to Sherford and the new crematorium now open. How will residents from across the city access the crematorium if they don’t drive?? I have seen teenagers trying to make their way to and from school along that fast loving dangerous road, as there is no alternative. This is an accident waiting to happen and could so easily be resolved by adding a diversion to an already existing bus route.Shelley Benwell (Plymouth, 2024-10-22)

It’s our nearest town, has employment, all amenities and my GP is there too. Also has a quicker bus link with Derriford Hospital which is much better than the gruelling current one hour route via The city centre, a total detour! My kids go to school in Plympton and it is unsafe to walk or cycle despite the short distance! Ridiculous.Helen Nicholas (Sherford, 2024-10-22)

Sherford and Elburton are in need of a bus route to/from Plympton because the council/highways authority wont fund a pedestrian link along a very busy fast road from Haye Rd to Valley Road. I have seen people walking on this fast road on multiple occasions which is very brave of them and they are at serious risk of being killed.Nicola Gill (Plymouth, 2024-10-22)

The infrastructure has not been build to support this town or residents. Children are walking to school heels and Plympton Academy on dangerous roads with no footpath. I take my children to school as the bus would be £50 a week for them to go to school which there is only 10 seats which Plympton Academy run. I now take another residents son to and from school. As they cannot afford the bus fees. There is no space for him and I almost hit this child on the road going past plants galore on the bend behind st Elizabeth house. It’s dangerous and a disgrace that the councils have not supported the connection between Plympton and Sherford. What is it going to take an accident and someone to loose their life before there is a change?!Laura Shaw (Sherford, 2024-10-22)

I’m signing because if I were to go from Plympton to sherford I would need to catch two buses. One into town and then one from town to Plymstock which is very time consuming and uses a lot of fuel. If there was a bus linked from Plympton through sherford to plymstock it would be very convenient for local residents that are unable to drive.Charlott Trickey (Plymouth, 2024-10-27)

My son works in Plympton. To get the bus he needs to travel into the town centre and back out to Plympton, this is costly and takes a long time. I need to drive him to work as he can't be independent in his travel. If there was a safe pavement up Hercules Road and over the A38 that would also be useful.
