URGENT Prevention of RANCO Village Cat "Disposal" (Riyadh)

It’s inhumane to dump animals in an area where they have no access to food, water or shelter. They will either be dumped, poisoned or beaten to death. Our
Compound management says it will be done humanely but this is the furthest from the truth

I do not agree with this inhuman disposal of our beloved cats and pets here at Ranco

Pets have a life too. I support the TNR group.

The cats are our pets and are looked after, it is cruel to take them away and is heartbreaking for those that care for them

Ralph Thompson (Riyadh, 2022-12-11)

Disposal is completely ineffective, cruel and outdated

I'm supporting this campaign to prevent cat disposal at Ranco. This is inhumane. You have no right to dispose animals.

I love these cats. I know someone who has visited the compound and these cats are wonderful. They actually can serve a purpose in pest control and otherwise do no harm so just leave them be as part of nature living with and beside us.

This policy is inhumane and must not be tolerated.

I believe there are other ways to help, and there are other compounds doing it:
Nurturing programme ( all tennents can be taken a fee)
Vet programme (all tennents can be taken a fee)
Cats also have a play, rats, cockroaches...and other insects...
I completely subscribe to find the best option shoulder to shoulder, let's seat and talk!

I’m signing because these cats are neutered and live as family pets. They pose no risk to the environment and should be left alone!

We are all living souls, not one more important than the other. We breath the same air, we walk the same earth. Why do we get decide who is more worthy ? Lets respect all living things, big or small and protect them as we are meant to do

Chanthal Pienaar (Riyadh, 2022-12-11)

#28

Please do not dispose of these cats - the neutering programme is a responsible, humane way to manage this.

Philip Hope (Birmingham, 2022-12-11)

#29

Please do not do this - this is animal abuse, not population management. If RANCO management would support our neutering programme, instead of using funds to hire a disposal company, we could comprehensivley neuter the cat population swiftly. This is a humane, effective long-term solution, with numerous benefits for RANCO and its residents.

These cats have lived here all their lived and trappi g to "dispose" of them is cruel and barbaric! These poor animals will have no source of food or water and will starve to death or be killed on the busy roads outside of the compound.

I am signing because cats will not be able to survive outside. If they are TNR in the compound we are ok with that as it is a more humane solution.

I am signing this as a result of these cats have every right to live. Some will undoubtedly be a beloved cat belonging to someone. Further, they hunt for mice and pests which are considered vermin in order to stop the spread of. Disease.
