There's no need for a bar in the Dail(Swords, 2017-08-01)
#9
I think that with the Dail being a place of work where the citizens of Ireland depend on our elected Representatives to make decisions affecting us and our country and we expect them to be made with a clear head. Most people go to work, to work not drink. If we want a drink we go to the pub afterwards. Close the Dail bar and get on with what you are you there for.(Dublin, 2017-08-01)
#11
Close the bar permanently they shouldn't be making decisions for our country while under the influence of alcohol and or other substances . What other job in the country allows you to drink alcohol while working.(Dublin, 2017-08-01)
#12
There is no need for a bar , and they won't even pay the Bill !!A shower of selfish pricks

There should be work going on in the Dail, not drinking. Lead by example Taoiseach and TDs. There would be uproar if there was a bar in a school or hospital . . .(Bantry, 2017-08-01)
#62
There is absolutely no need for politicians to be drinking while representing the people of Ireland(Waterford, 2017-08-01)

How can you govern while intoxicated. You wouldn't let some drive a car while under the influence. Would you(Dublin, 2017-08-01)
#67
The Houses of the Oireachtas are no place to have boozy interludes. These elected representatives are meant to be legislating for the common good and need to accept the restrictions that go hand in hand with their well remunerated public service.(Ballymahon, 2017-08-01)
#68
Alcohol should not be allowed in the work place(Dublin, 2017-08-01)

#87
I don't agree with people drinking at work. And nobody seems to pay their bill so it's left to the tax payers to settle drink bills for them when that money could go towards something else. The politicians earn to much money as it is without getting the benefits of free drink as well. And it will stop them drinking and driving(Dublin, 2017-08-01)
#89
Y should we tax payers have to pay this just like everything else country is a joke for working people(Dublin, 2017-08-01)
#90
There's never been a bar in any job I worked in and if there was and I defaulted on my Bar bill I'm sure the money would have been taken from my salary. Surely that could be done in the Dail, or the vipers den as I refer to it .(Dublin, 2017-08-01)
#91
This is a disgrace that (a) we have a bar in the Dail in the first instance and (b) that the taxpayer (those who get up early!!!) have to pay for unpaid bills by our corrupt politicians. They lecture us about having to pay for things and this is what we have to endure.(Dublin, 2017-08-01)
#93
Enough is enough!!!!!!!(Dublin, 2017-08-01)
#94
appalling waste of tax payers money. Christ knows they get enough perks without filling their stomachs on free alcohol at the expense of the taxpayer. I would be interested to know how much these 'tabs' are and who ran them up. surely there is a way to make them pay? or is this part of the package of becoming a political representative?(dublin, 2017-08-01)
