My teenager is Diabetic and is rebelling against this horrible illness. She has stopped taking her blood sugars, hasn't properly checked them in two years, hence her hba1c is 14 a dangerously high level. The libre would give her an alternative method and is 24/7. She badly needs a CGM.

My husband and 2 of my kids have type 1 diabetes. This is a game changing device and currently we are unavailable to afford €360 a month for them all to benefit from it. We currently use over 400 blood glucose test strips a month for the kids alone and at €1 each thats more than the cost of the libre sensor for the whole family. It's a no brainer really!

(Limerick, 2016-12-04)

(Co Mayo, 2016-12-04)

#68

Because my just turned 3 year old has just been diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. He watches his siblings get on with normal life and sits there with his finger out before he gets to eat with them. This is so important for children to have as he has no idea when he's having a hypo. I can't even tell when it's happening. His blood sugar drops in middle of night so I have to wake him up at 3am every night to do prick test. This would be life changing for him and for us as a family to have on LTI book.

My daughter and husband are type1 diabetics and the libre hugely increases their quality of life. The libre stops me waking my daughter several times a night to prick her finger.
