This joint venture is too one sided. It is just a rebadged Balmain team. The Magpies side of the JV put all the money into it. Bring the Magpies back to the NRL.

Western Suburbs are losing their identity and Balmain have control of the merger we play as Tigers are predominantly Balmain colours. We need to play in the Macarthur area as Western Suburbs Macarthur Magpies. One entity like Penrith and promote our juniors accordingly. Balmain like North's and Newtown need to play in the lower eschalon grades. We need to be in the Macarthur area before the juniors look to other codes.

I love the Magpies and Balmain are broke, totally useless and think they own the joint. Sell out crowds at Campbo last year while blooding Wests Juniors tell me it is time for the Maggies to come back. Leichhardt drew 15K MAX last year

The NRL always wanted to reduce the number of teams from inner Sydney. Why can the Wests Magpies represent the booming area of south West Sydney? For me it's a no brainer unless other clubs are scared they will not have somewhere to get new talent. I have not followed the NRL since 2012 when Bowelmain started taking over the running of the Wests Pussycats.

The Macarthur area, as the major nursery for rugby league, needs a dedicated team, otherwise I'm worried the AFL will swoop in.
The AFL got it right when broadening the reach for their competition. When they wanted to go to Sydney, they said to the South Melbourne Swans, we are relocating you to Sydney but you will still be the Swans with the same jersey. When they went to Brisbane they called the team the Bears. However, when they needed to reduce the number of teams in their competition they told Fitzroy they were out but then told Brisbane that they were now the Lions, with the same jersey.
Whenever the Swans and the Bears play in Melbourne, all the old South Melbourne and Fitzroy supporters turn out in numbers to support their teams.
AFL cared about their supporters, I can't say the same about the NFL, when they told Souths, Norths and Wests to bugger off.

Wests need to be the Magpies. Macarthur region is the now Wests Junior. Balmain juniors play in South Sydney area now. There is no Balmain Leagues club in existence anymore. Leichhardt oval is not in the Western suburbs of Sydney anymore. A Western Suburbs CoE should have never been built in Concord a total waste. It should of been built at Kirkham Oval the centre of Wests current junior competition to develop up coming Macarthur players. It will cost less to upgrade Campbelltown stadium than Leichhardt as suburb ground. Just a few points why
