Preserve the Fair Haven Police Current Staffing Levels

At this point I am ashamed to call Fair Haven my home. It seems that the residents of Fair Haven except for a very few but vocal group pushing their own agenda don't care about their quality of life, the safety of the children, their homes, vehicles etc because out of the 1,640 registered voters only 489 choose to vote in March 2014. Of the folks that did vote 216 voted YES on the budget and 267 vote NO on the budget. Do the math there is a 51 vote difference. Are these the same 267 who always vote no because that is what they are told to do? Voters DO your homework, look back at previous election results, look at previous budgets. Forget what the vocal MINORITY is telling you. You need to speak up now before it is too late and all services in Fair Haven are destroyed along with our quality of life.

It wasn't a fourth full time officer that we voted on in 2007, it was a third officer. At the time the Chief promised us 24 hour police coverage if we approved the third officer. Now somehow we have 4 and we still don't have 24 hour coverage.

I think you need to go see the town clerk and have her pull the 2007 ballot!

march 5 2007 article 5 will the voters of the town of fair haven approve a FOURTH full-time police officer with salary and benefits totaling 50,503.00 starting july 1 2007,the purpose of which is to provide coverage during hours not currently covered by the town of fair haven or other law enforcement agencies.yes245   no 367  chief stated this will get us close to 24 hour coverage.look it up!
