It's a fabulous local family run place, that I take my 5yr old daughter to see the animals and buy plants. I also used the on-site stone merchant for my patio, it was by far the best quality and price around. Would be a huge shame if yet another independant place/retailer closed down.

The locals want to keep Sheeplands. As our local council - please listen to us.

Because I believe Wokingham Borough Council are being vindictive.

They may have the law on their side but they are not being responsive to what the residents want. Furthermore I thought our local MP Theresa May had brokered a deal, which led Sheeplands to drop their appeal. The Council officials just seem intent on being little hitlers. Shame on them

Sheeplands may have been silly but for goodness sake Wokingham - stop being stupid and let Twyford retain a facility we love and want.

Wokingham are just being bloody minded and nit picking.

Sheep lands is a really nice place to go for shopping, browsing and coffee. The public need places like this. We are fed up with over large same same shopping centres.

Because hare hatch is local to me and I have young children, we go there often. After the shire horse centre closed down on the A4 to make way for yet more housing there is little left to entertain youngsters in the open air around here! Terrible for such an affluent area

Because I have fond memories of spending time here with my son in the play area!

Wokingham, stop being cruel to this family run business

The Council don't bother to plan anything else properly, i.e. extra housing with no improvement to the local infrastructure so why make an example over this garden centre. They need to stop so called garden sheds being turned into extra bedrooms for starters but they have no stomach for tackling that.

It will be such a shame to loose HHS. As a small business I have exhibited at the craft market for the last 6 years,. The support that they provide small crafters like myself is so valuable, there are not enough places like it around.

Hi,

Whilst I've enoyed this shop many times there cannot be one rule for one and one rule for others in terms of land use.  The same people who are saying this shouldn't be closed are the same people who are all over the council when travellers turn up in Wokingham.

I go to Hare Hatch Sheeplands a lot, my family also go, we use all the amenities, buying things, attending different 'special occasions' & always enjoying a snack & coffee in the excellent café. What a sad state of affairs if this is closed down -c an't believe anyone is actually trying to close it !

This is a valuable asset to the area and provides people with a choice when going to purchase plants, other than chains of garden centres offering the same products whichever one you go into. Keep local businesses competitive and we will be rewarded with innovative ideas and better products. Good luck HHS

Wokingham think again -encorouge local enterprise not stamp it out.

It is absolutely crazy to make impossible demands on this very popular centre that has so much local support.

It is one of the only places in the area that you can buy local produce  and with an excellent butcher and fishmonger as well as an individual garden centre all under one roof.

It will be a great loss to the area if this garden centre is forced to close. I do hope this has not been brought about by Wyevale wanting the monopoly.

It is so lovely to have an more independent Garden Centre with different things and offer more choice. It a real shame that WBC have taken this short sighted view. I am sick of going to different cities and finding the same old shop!!! and I might as well have stayed at home. I thought it was a good thing to encourage small business but WBC seem to insist on discourage small business and just favour large franchises poor show they should be ashamed of themselves as big bullies in front of the local community.
