if Sport England are serious about providing diverse opportunities for our children, perhaps they might look at the return small investment makes to those often left feeling disenfranchised by the more organised sports. Adequate sanitary facilities at Harrison's Rock must surely be in that category..

This is a shame as this will lead to the misuse of the area and spoil a lovely place.
This is used by lots of young people and there are fewer places for them to go . Please reconsider keeping them open and in working order. Thank you

This place needs a toilette block. Please think of all those who will use it. I'm sure if you went round all the local builders merchants and asked for support you would get it. Save the toilette block.

How many would be visitors that won't visit because of no toilets ? I am looking for a new camp site
for next year. won't consider without toilets ? not with youngsters.

Rememebr climbing here 30 years ago and my sons have just been there with scouts. Where would Sport England like people to "spend a penny" instead? A day climbing and no facilities! Sure they'd start complaining if people found other solutions to the lack of facilities!

I've never climbed there, but I've climbed in plenty of places without a toilet block and it doesn't take long for the surroundings to become a hotch-potch of piles of toilet paper. A proper toilet block is the way to go!

It is environmentally detrimental to not keep the toilet block functioning.

Sadly this is yet another failure by Sport England, some of the decisions made are misguided in the extreme (unless its football)but this bunch of faceless gravy train riding individuals seem to be motivated by the worst type of back slapping cronyism, go on the net and look at the sums expended in their report! But they are above any kind of accountability. They should spend some of the Suits wasted expenses money on providing basic amenities.

It would be a real shame if this facility was lost and would be detrimental to the surrounding area. Come on Sport England - get your finger out.

This is wonderful natural sporting resource enjoyed by tens of thousands from all over the South East each year. It self-evidently needs this supporting facility. Why else would it have been built in the first place?

If this crag becomes unacceptably maintained, who knows which crag will be next

I'm 62 and now live in Barnsley. Two teachers took me and some friends to Harrison's in 1965 and we couldn't climb a thing. That didn't stop us and eventually I made it to the top of the Eiger (west ridge route). Harrison's is still a place I visit very occasionally and the toilet block is vital for all who use the place.

My sincere thanks to those of you championing this cause. What a sorry state and how very short sighted it appears our national organisations appear to be. Thank you and good luck

these are brilliant public toilets and help keep the area clean and tidy.

Do we really want the public to be using the surrounding woods as a toilet? C'mon, this is a pretty important facility for a lot of people.

In a country that wants to encourage young people outside, and not stuck indoors on a play station. The powers that be don't seem to do much to encourage it. Do they.

Toilets are an essential part of any facility especially where children are involved.

This facility needs to remain open. And with the goodwill and groundswell of support from the users of the woods this really should be possible,,,,

For climbers travelling distances to climb here the toilet block (and campsite combination) can be very important and losing these will deter visits and hence take visitor expenditure from the local area.
