this guardroom has been there many years as part of our heritage why now a new govt what to break part of what is everyday life just for the sake of show off of great entrance to the palace, come on gibraltar is too small and all our heritage is our treasure

This should not be allowed to be done! This is our heritage - it has been a Guardroom for well over 100 years - why does the Govt feel the need to do something like this?

Don't Change for the Sake of Change
How can this be done? Making this the entrance of No 6 will destroy and change an age-old British Gibraltarian Tradition, the Changing of the Guard. By changing the building's use and moving the location of the Changing of the Guard, the entire ceremony/tradition is, to a great extent, ruined. Don't change for the sake of change.

the convent guardroom should be kept as it is very historically a very important part of gibraltar many of us gibraltarians have the honour to have mounted guard there it is very special to us

Like many British and Gibraltarian servicemen, I was very proud to be a member of a guard here in 1953 when I was a young British soldier. This guardroom is a part of Gibraltar's history and heritage and must remain unchanged.
