I support this petition for a high school in Underberg. This is a significant growth point in a rural setting. Good for employment and education.

THIS IS AN AMAZING SCHOOL WITH AMAZING HARD WORKING TEACHER!!!!! And AWESOME AWESOME STUDENTS!!!! Give them a fighting chance to make a differnece to Underberg! To Grow and Sustain this town and provide a constuctive enviroment where children can be educated and pave the the way for a better tomorrow and a better South Africa

this school has brought so much happiness to the children and parents of underberg. this school has brought families back together. we need this school to succeed, and make its way to the top. its underberg school or its a 3 hour drive to your childs school every 2 weeks! its not fair especially in the case of an emergancy.

This community is in need of a school that allows us to keep our children at home. A good school is what keeps a community thriving. Dont distroy families, and childrens potential for the sake of politics!!!!!!!!!

Underberg does have the option and luxury of a high school, a fact that is not mentioned in the petition. This is the reason the Department is not willing to register another high school which has so few students. Why not pool resources and have one high school that all learners can go to, instead of polarizing the community with petty slander about which high school is the best in Underberg and misleading people into thinking that there is no other high school in town.

We would love to make Underberg our home oneday and agree that a High school is necessary! We have three young children, and i agree on the Zulu principle taht it takes a community to raise a child.. Dont take them away from their own home community! We wish all the Underberg comunity the best with this petition.

Thanks for the input - valid to say the least, but sadly the offer of pooling resources has been declined by the other school you speak of.  Our parents in this community are sending children away to boarding school in spite of the presence of this other school.  They are looking for IEB or Cambridge enriched curricula and therefore the existing school is not deemed an alternative.  In the absence of alternatives we have created one.  We welcome discussion with any member of the community in this regard, and discourse with the said school is also most welcome. Thanks for voicing your concerns.
