Thank you for forming this petition .
We must stop the proposed Gravel Extraction in Bengeo.
Only together can we stand against the corporate pressure on our Council..
There has not been due consideration given to the Health and Safety of children from the local school or local residents who would be in close proximity.
>Property values be affected.
>Health would be affected for years by Air Pollution from Excavation and infilling with Rubish.
>Safety would be affected by Lorries turning onto the B158 Wadesmill Road.
There have already been Fatal Accidents on this road and we all experience the mud and congestion on the A602 at nearby Quarries.

Very concerned for local community's health with excessive dust and pollution that will be present for 15 years!

Insufficient buffer zone to nearby neighbourhood including Bengeo Primary School. Insufficient community information and consultation upfront and during the application process. For example how can the school not be approached about this???
Adverse impact not only on lical neighbourhood health, traffic and amenity but also local wildlife. The red kites living in our area to mention but a few.

The proposed quarry will cause disruption to the neighbourhood with increased traffic. Beautiful countryside which the local community and wildlife use will be destroyed. The health risks connected with the dust are a concern to myself and family.

Associated dust will damage peoples' health. Too near school. Lower water table will damage the viability and health of St. John's Wood
.extra traffic will damage local roads including A602.
The extension of water mill lane which is an ancient pathway will be damaged or lost. Bengeo has has the dust and dirt from gravel digging for many years. It is time to give us a rest. The map shown is out of date and thus inaccurate

It will destroy the countryside that is supposed to be protected and bring pollution to a family-residentual area.

Concerns over the negative impact on Bengeo Primary School which our 4 yr old hopes to start in Sept, the noise, air pollution and detrimental impact on local roads.

Concern about the impact to health and wellbeing of local residents as well as the environment, particularly the proximity to a local primary school; the inadequate planning for how local infrastructure is expected to deal with increased traffic

I've grown up in this area and these plans will spoil the environment for everybody.

Increased traffic in the area, pollution, open space taken away from the community

I feel so strongly about this, why is this happening? It's beautiful, children grow up in such a concrete city these days, we are so lucky to have beautiful countryside surrounding us, it's calming, natural & cultural ........

Please don't build a quarry in this beautiful area. I am not from Bengeo myself, but members of my family are and my niece and nephew attend the primary school which is going to be right next to it and they only live a few doors away. Please don't risk their health and wellbeing

We are extremely concerned as live right opposite the quarry - we are very concerned about the pollution it will cause and the health risks as have a young family - both our children attend Bengeo primary school which is next to the quarry

I am from a different Hertfordshire town but I do understand the concerns that local residents of Bengeo may have. It's going to destroy the countryside and it may have a negative impact on people's health!! Also I read somewhere that it may affect Bengeo Primary as dust may travel in causing problems to the children/staff that attend there. What if one, or maybe a few, of the children suffer from asthma? Not goodfor anyone's health!

I am angered and disgusted by these plans which are wholly detrimental to the local community!
