Crime is getting out of hand and we as residents need to take ownership and do whatever is necessary to protect our families and communities as best as we can. I believe that this will act as a deterrent although we will need to do more than this.

I want to feel safe and protected in the area that I live in and not constantly worried and looking over my shoulder.I want my child to be able to play in the yard,play in the street without any fear.I dont want any of the drug dealers or unknown people to be loitering around making trouble

We want to feel safe in our homes. Lately there have been armed robberies and hold-ups and I do not want my children in danger. Our street is not a thoroughfare so I think it could be easily blocked off.

Crime is out of control everywhere in all suburbs, and it is getting worse by the day in Bromhof. Our families are not safe.
We are also one of the many houses that have been robbed in Parrot street.

it is vital for people to secure their perimeters around their own properties for security. booms/road closures do not work and are nothing but an inconvenience. we would have chosen to live in a closed off area if we so desired.

This is a problem for me as I am just outside the area proposed to be boomed off - this will result in masses of additional traffic on Hawken road

 

Move the boom to the Corner of Ostrich and Hawken

 

As currently proposed I do not support the proposal

Because if all the crime that's in the area we must provide safety for our families and friends (neighbours). We work hard fir what we have and NO ONE has the right to take it or keep us as criminals in our own property.

 I am sorry for the inconvenience.

This is the most we can cover without digging into a thorough way.

Putting booms at the propsoed corner would mean closing off all roads coming off of Tin which makes the process extremely difficult and less likely.

The costs behind a traffic study are extensive, and we will not be approved if booming off on corner of Hawken and Ostrich because of the roads importance.

Please note that the Nagtegaal and Hawken road will be open to alleviate morning and evening traffic, but with Hawken being controlled via a boom. The cars making use of the area currently pose significant risk to the houses within the petitioned area and thus we've pushed the fencing back as far as possible.

Please note that there will be further actions taken, with fibre camera's and dedicated security stationed throughout our area to address those outside of the closed access areas.

We have thought about these houses, and are working hard to find solution to a tricky problem.

 The proposed closed access is a starting point.

From which we can implement fibre cameras and stationed security guards.

There are only so many ways an individual can secure their home, but the possibilities with a combined community are endless.
