While the new alternate uniforms are badass, I definitely want them to have some gold somewhere. Without the gold, the uniform could be anybody's and my Niners are not just anybody, they are my San Francisco 49'ers!!

I've been a fan for almost 40 years and never thought that an alternate was even necessary. Personally I would rather there not be an alternate but if you're going to choose black at least apply the gold so that it pays homage to the red and GOLD.

We have always been Red and Gold!!! It's our identity! To take away the Gold and add black makes us look like a bunch of Raider, gang bangin', wannabes!! In my opinion, if you wanna make an alternate jersey, make it Gold with Red!!! I am forever faithful, and I will remain so no matter what! I love our team, but these new jerseys look ridiculous!!!!

I think gold should outline the red numbering, sleeve red and name. Remember gold and red are 49ers colors and without including the gold it just looks terrible. Go 9ers!!!

I have been a fan all my life thus fa! I'm 29 years old and since I was five all I've known is red & gold. It's a classic. It's a part of our teams history. These new uniforms are very new age and I like them but need more gold!!!! We need to stay true to our roots!!!!

Because the damn jerseys are ugly and a classy organization such as the 49ers should realize how deep their roots go and how great their unis are. Don't mess with something that has been good to you. Make the team better, the front office better, not the jersey.

Born and Raised in SF. Die hard niner fan. We are Red and Gold not Red and Black. Please add gold to the uniforms, its just not right without it.

I've been a die hard season ticket holder for the last 9 seasons. These new jerseys are a horrible idea in the first place. A team with the history like the 49ers is recognized by the uniform. Everyone knows that we are red and gold. There are certain teams that the uniforms should never be messed with. The fact that these are only black and red is horrible. If they are going through with it at least represent more gold into the uniforms.

We are represented by gold miners. Gold belongs in the jersey. It also makes the color scheme appear more professional and presents a more tasteful aesthetic than the red on black set under gold helmets, with little to tie the two together.
