Because this is so unfair to the owner and both the dogs who have been there all this time without issue , should be one rule for all in this day and age I think there are more important things to clamp down on xx

Because provided the dogs are well looked after and not causing a nuisance to others then they should stay where they are especially if the council knew about them at the beginning. Too many uncared for dogs without adding to the numbers.

We are in the midst of an anti pet housing problem. Leaving thousands of owners distraught, and rescues like us over whelmed

If she had the original letter from the council they can't do anything we gave the same sort of thing with our housing but we are existing tennents and even though they changed their name if doesn't effect us
She wants to point this out to them they are in the wrong

Because those dogs have got a loving home and have already been given permission to live there so you can't just change your rules to suit you.

As long as they are cared for kept under control and house not trashed I don't see it matters how many pets u have. It's cruel to seperate them especially as so many staffies are put down already good luck x

It is an absolute disgrace that Hackney Homes have reneged on their agreement with their tenant, who has abided by the conditions which they set before she moved in.

because dogs are not owned to be thrown out!! Would you make her throw one of her children out??!!

I signed because it seems to me that this owner is being 'targeted' by her neighbours, her dogs are both mature well behaved and not a problem to anybody other then whoever is making the protests. I'm sure if she perssued this the council would have to let her know if it is the their tenants that are behind this or not, the fact she told the council she had 2 dogs before moving in and there was nothing made of it back then is deffinately down to tenants bitching, I'd take it further if I were in her shoes, contact her local MP, the local papers anyone who could draw attention to her plight. the council should not be allowed to get away with this!

There's more than enough unwanted dogs in kennels and being put to sleep ...dogs are part of the family and so unfair for owners and pets to be torn apart for no apparent reason it's cruelty

because its totally unfair to seperate two dogs that have lived in the said property for over a year !!

At 7 and 10 years old it would not only be extremely cruel to split them up, but also highly unlikely that a home could be found for whichever dog has to go. This lady checked if keeping 2 dogs would be a problem before moving in. So how can the council complain now.

Because this council are not being fair to this woman, they cannot do a u turn after a year, and the dogs are there by agreement. Just a bunch of jobsworths, victimizing this tenant.

How ridiculous of them, councils and housing assocaitions must stop making people homeless and dogs ending up in pounds because of them

It's underhanded tactics of councils. It's not fair on these dogs to be separated after 12 months living there. How do you live with yourselves. It's cruel. Let common sense prevail

dogs and cats are like children to people. animals need humans to keep them safe, they give them unconditional love and research says thy improve physical and mental wellbeing. how can you not respect this? Have a heart. A house is not a home without a cat or dog!
