The Elham valley is within the Kent Downs AONB. This is a protected landscape and development of this kind is not permitted within its boundaries or within it's setting.

It seems bizarre to me that the infrastructure for this park has been put in place before planning has been granted. It is time that elected representatives of the people started to listen before they act!

I signed because the Elham valley is an area of outstanding beauty and a camp site with permanent caravans on the valley floor is absolutely inappropriate . Valleys of this type are rare places in Kent and should be preserved and not be home to a huge over crowded caravan camp which would spoil what is an advertised tourist route of beauty.

To protect the Elham Valley, a beautiful area!

The Elham Valley AONB would become an Area of Rubbish and Litter. I would like to know how it is intended to uphold the restriction to 11 months only, who will be responsible for maintaining the area, what are the sanitation/drainage provisions and how it is thought that such a site could possibly enhance or even be in keeping with the beauty of the area. All it can possibly do is to DETRACT from the beauty of the area to such an extent that the accolade would be lost.

The Elham Valley is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and should be protected from the planned caravan site which will ruin this precious landscape.

How can this development be granted in such a sensitive site?

Obviously because such a development is a desecration of
the Valley

Because I live near by an am concerned about the harm to the environment, blot on the landscape, and increase in crime.

Local infrastructure not suitable to support that number of caravans.

I feel that this project is inappropriate in the Elham Valley

The development is thoughtless and not appropriate. Heads should roll.

Know the area well, beautiful, and should not be spoilt by this development.

I care about the Elham Valley and developments such as this are not in the best interest of the natural environment.

This development is not sympathetic to the infrastructure of the Elham Valley

This is clearly a residential site.
No planning notices were posted allowing for local objections.
All environmental considerations appear to have been ignored.
There is no sewerage facility so the Nailbourne and surrounding land will be poisoned.
All communities downstream of the site will be vulnerable to waterborne pollution.
There are no parking facilities within the site for the many large vehicles, scrap piles, tyre burning and refuse that will be associated with the disproportionately large number of pitches being crammed into this relatively small area.
There are no school facilities in the valley capable of managing the influx of children.
Adjacent land will suffer incursion and creeping pollution.
The site is unsightly and in plain view of the road.
The traffic associated with it at all times of day and night will be dangerous and disruptive.
The site plan is an ugly, dangerous and disruptive attack targeting the whole Elham Valley community and should never have been granted planning permission.
There are no monitored CCTV cameras in the valley.
Whoever agreed to it failed to do their job.

Because of it being in an area of Outstanding natural beauty

The site is in the middle of an unspoilt and very beautiful valley.

Access to the proposed site would constitute a further and significant danger on an already narrow section of a much-used road rural traffic route.

The siting of a caravan park in such an area would be a visual travesty and would be (in the true sense) significantly detrimental to the charm of this delightful area of Kent.

Furthermore, it is in an area which has always been prone to deep flooding during heavy rainfall periods.

It is suggested that no additional rating income could possibly justify visual ruination of this part of the Elham Valley.

This area of outstanding natural beauty, the fauna and flora must be protected from any development.

I have lived in Elham for the last 22 years and consider this proposal to be completely inappropriate for the available infrastructure, together with blighting the middle of this beautiful valley

Being caravaner my self having viewed the site I think it is far to small for that many caravans and the amenities that they require

Green space is becoming a premium in our fair county, it makes no sense scarring part of an area of outstanding natural beauty.
