We should ALL have the same benefits after retiring. Being a Union official should not allow perks during office participation, and screams unfair after leaving the position.

. Doing Union work is a Volunteer position with in our work force! We are ALL Flight Attendants! Act like one and retire the same way we do, with low level D1/ D2 passes, or what ever our retirement flights are due to your time as a Flight Attendant! package states! You are Still a Flight Attendant!

This current practice, of positive space A5 travel for retiring Union officers, needs to stop in order for fairness and equality to prevail!

Although I sincerely appreciate all the work the APFA does for it's membership, we all make up the APFA. It's officers represent the voice of it's membership. They are not separate from it. We all make decisions together by majority and walk the line, work the line and live by our collective decisions in unity.

Be d2r like everyone else. Once you leave the airline you are nothing . Just like everybody else who worked for AA!

For this "perk" to be allowed is immoral, greedy and shameful. May karma find them all...

Let them feel the pain of FCFS. Firsthand, throwing away respect for seniority

I woiuld think this is something that our Union officers could accomplish without a petition

They made no move to help actives or retirees. This is as bad as the health care situation. Corrupt

you are performing a civil service for the employees you should not be reaping the benefits I think that is cross contamination between the company and being a union representative simple as that I think someone should look into legal action against how are union rep should not be able to benefit from company perks

If D2R is good enough for rank and file, it's good enough for retired APFA officers too!

All retirees should have equal travel benefits.

The A5 travel definitely presents a conflict of interest. I signed the petition but must add that this wrong is not nearly as egregious as denying the TWA flight attendants their rightful seniority. APFA cannot be called a Union that practices the fundamental tenets for fairness and equity as long as it continues this outrageous act of discrimination.

Our elected union officers willngness to serve may seem like a thankless job at times, however a company perk like A5 travel for life appears to skew the idea of a Union's interest. A union's position is to serve and protect the membership while representing the greater good of it's whole. A union is to protect the equal benefits of all its members. Allowing a union official who is a flight attendant first to receive benefits greater than those he/she represents is sickening to our unity.

The idea of the people who negotiate such weak and meaningless contracts getting any type of benefits after retirement is unconscionable! Let them have only the same benefits that they "negotiated" for their constituents. Thank you
