If you think the Wellywood sign is so ridiculous that it needs to be ridiculed:
Sign this petition then COPY THE LINK AND SEND TO FRIENDS AND COLLEAGUES. What we are trying to achieve here is to reach the critical mass of common sense and our true spirit to counter stubborn stupidity i.e. for the stupid to THINK THEY rule the world it is enough that the clever remain silent.
The shocker to be stopped or made so utterly ridiculous that it just stops:

This is just to try keep New Zealand a funny place to live and not a ridiculous one. So, since apparently the "utterly original" wellywood sign got a go-ahead, this petition is just a counter-idea. If you think that we should not have a monster copy-cat Wellywood sign in New Zealand just sign this. We may be criticised for not offering an alternative. Well, if that is the case, we do. Something that would kick the Hollywood sign right out of the league and put NZ on the top of "woods". We have one of the longest geographical names in this country, so if we really want to go crazy, let's do it in our way. The fun kiwi way. Come on, this is what this country is about. Being creative and fun and not being copy-cats. If you agree, just sign this petition. Alternatively download the alternative photo, print it on an A4, take some shots and send them to nowellywood@gmail.com. Join in. View your pictures at http://picasaweb.google.com/nowellywood. Alternatively you can go mad with your own sign at http://wellywood.skullandbones.co.nz/. Thanks for laughing with us and doing something.
