Coach Reeves is an amazing coach, mentor, friend, etc. He has helped a lot of players and students at the school. He goes above and beyond to be there for others. Although what Coach Reeves did was not appropriate to some even if it was a joke, people make mistakes and should be given another chance to fix their wrongdoings. Reeves meant no harm and was being himself around his football players which is family. A good conversation and another chance in my opinion, would resolve the situation and remind not only Reeves but everyone that there’s a place and time to do certain things. I believe in Coach Reeves as a coach and a mentor to kids. He truly cares about the kids he interacts with and any minor issues that my have lead to his resigning should be seen in their proper context. He’s not perfect nor is anyone. Coach Reeves is not only an amazing coach and security guard, but also just a amazing genuine person. If I need to talk, Reeves is my counselor. If I just need to be honest about something and state my feelings, he’ll listen. He’s a supporter and I like to believe that he greatly enjoys talking to us, keeping us safe, coaching his boys, and all the other things he does for our school. There’s really not anyone else like him.
