I am a 25 year old, stable and healthy adult. The current lockdown has had a significant impact on my mental health. The constant unknown of when things will return to normal is mental torture, and goalposts constantly being moved does not help. There are now more deaths and cases than when the economy was open, so I am now extremely doubtful of the facts and reasoning behind lockdowns and have lost complete trust in this government, and do not believe they have the nations best interests at heart. We should be unlocking now that all vulnerable groups are vaccinated, as this should bring hospitalisations down and the whole point of lockdowns were to protect the NHS. This needs to stop, unless there is a serious alternative reason the government want to keep the country locked down then there is no reason not to unlock. The restrictions and rules in place go against all human rights and all science. Our bodies need to catch viruses, build immunity, which I believe a large amount of the population have already built against covid 19.

If we really must ‘protect the NHS’ and vulnerable, why are we not doing targeted isolation? Why not ask vulnerable to shield until such time they are vaccinated and let the rest of the population build immunity.

My final point, and one that has really sickened me to my core lately, is the way adverts on the radio and tv have been able to say sentences as direct as ‘do not go out, you could kill someone’. This is disgusting, fear mongering at its sickest form and should not be allowed.
