I believe there needs to be an external review into the running of Wests Tigers and the board. I Believe it will show that we truly need to unite the 2 sides (Western Suburbs and Balmain), and that this fraction is the main cause of our issues including the board.James munson (Sanctuary Point, 2023-07-09)

The board and the two head honchos HAVE to go.The club needs new blood who know what they are doing,to enable it to survive. I have been a west magpies supporter for over 60 years and I am disgusted with how the club has been rundown to the level it is now.

I've been a paid member fir 11 tears, did not get acknowledgement for my 10 years od support, despite the appalling and embarrassing performance of the team. I have been supporting Balmain since 1975 and then the merger since inception. The board is obviously dysfunctional, and we have plummeted in on field success since Justin Pascoe took over in 2015, yes we may have made a profit but the fans want a successful, competitive club. We need change at board level.Steve Jamieson (Melbourne , 2023-07-10)

Fed up with the endlessly embarrassing way in which our board, Chair and CEO run this club.Gave up my family membership and have stopped going to games. I’m over the way this club is managed.. who wants to pay to see this team get outclassed every single week.. it’s been 10 years of frustration that is getting worse every year.. with no end in sight!! Who cares how much the club makes if the team isn’t competitive.. I’m not going to another game until there is a major overhaul in the club’s management.. from the top down..Daniele Merrett (Wyoming, 2023-07-10)

Am completely over seeing my team get beaten in all aspects of the game, as well as the comprehensive lack of accountability at the managerial level. Been a proud tigers fan for 20+ years but I’ve totally lost interest in the club because all I see is perpetual abject failures. Everyone needs to be accountable and approachable to answer to critics, ie fans.Wests Tigers board cannot keep accepting mediocrity and ineptness at all levels.
Their is a lack of pride shown from the board, reflected in the appearance of CEO Justin Pascoe who looks most of the time as a homeless tramp and not much better with the Chairman Lee Hagipantelis.
The club is a shamble and is the laughing stock of the RL community and are continually ridiculed and belittled by the media.
If the board can honestly say with hand on heart that they have the best interest of Wests Tigers then they need to shape up and lead by example or take the big walk of a short plank.
An absolute disgrace led by disgracefull Pascoe and Hagipantelis.

Time for a change. We have a great crop of young talent about to come through our club and we cannot afford the front office to stuff this up as they have done in the past!!! I have no faith in the ability of the WT board to turn the club around. WE, as fans and football club members, have put up with mediocrity and a hope for the future for too many years. Time for an external review. I personally believe it requires a change at the top, however, open to hear the findings of an external review. The board has blamed players, coaches, coaching staff, other staff, basically everyone except for the untouchable board members. Its been over a decade of torment. Time for a change!Michael Kotselas (Sydney, 2023-07-11)

I lost all faith in coaching staff and Management when they released Jackson Hastings in the Pre Season. He was the difference between us winning and losing last year.

We have sacked numerous coaches, we have gone through even more players (even getting rid of players to "free up cap space" but never replacing them), and nothing changes the results on the field. The only constant is the board, chairman, and CEO. They need to be reviewed because if not, this club will never live up to its potential.
The club has a Chairman who is also the major sponsor, which if you look at it in any way is a conflict of interest. A chairman who wants fans to "keep the faith" but also says that people are "not fans if they are not members".
A CEO who has admittedly made the club financially viable, and given us a Centre of Excellence, but has been so focussed on getting it built and touting it, that the rest of the club has seemingly fallen down around him.
And a board that cannot be held to account by anyone but the owners, who are seemingly more interested in the profits from poker machines than the football club that gives them the origins of their business.
This is a club that is struggling to sign players, those in charge keep coming out and discussing chasing after big name players to join the club, talking to the media about recruitment, and yet all the big names that have been mentioned have stayed at their clubs or gone elsewhere. The club is even struggling to get potential future stars to come to the club. If the club cannot bring players into the club as they don't want to be here, what hope is there that the young players in the clubs system will want to stay in the future.
The club may be in a strong financial position, but that means nothing if all the fans walk away because of how the team plays. Every week it becomes harder and harder for people to support the club, and even more difficult to get new fans (especially the young fans who will carry this club forward into the future). Even fans of other clubs feel sorry for us, and apologise to us over having banter these days.
And this doesn't even look into the ways members are treated or ignored. From membership pack changes that make members pay even more for less (both in number of games and membership packages), to how they are spoken or replied to when making enquiries about these issues.
If not for the loss of my seats at grounds which I have had for nearly 15 years (in the hope that the good days of wanting to go to games returns) I would easily walk away from my membership. That is in itself a sad inditement of the club. Many other long term members however are not sticking around though, which is extremely sad knowing how long they have supported the club and how much they love it, and knowing that they no longer want to be members due to how the club is being run.
Change is needed, an independent review is the only way this can happen. It needs to happen now, or I (and I am certain most fans) fear for the future of this club.

I'm signing this petition because I'm losing faith in this clubs management. There are consequences for people who do poorly in their occupations. Why isn't that the case at Wests Tigers? Enough is enough. Shit flows downhill.People were joking last year after getting the wooden spoon saying "At least you can't do any worse!" Well after the worse loss ever to happen in the NRL and the possibility of coming in 17th position instead of lasts years 16th... it's no longer funny to anybody; not even opposition supporters. We have hit rock bottom and somehow we are sinking lower than that. How is that possible? I was there at Nth Qld for the defeat and it was probably the worse I've ever felt supporting this club. Its not the $1450 in plane tickets, the $280 in accommodation, $220 for the hire car, $97 for tickets for the game, $120 for food or the $88 on crappy drinks at the game for the missus and myself that I will remember. It's the lack of effort by most of the players that will stick with me. It's the feeling of embarrassment and helplessness I felt when the Cowboy supporters yelled in my face and everyone else wearing Tigers colours that will stay with me. It's also the feeling knowing deep down inside that unless we change something, it's going to happen year after year. It's getting harder and harder to support this team but unlike the board and 80% of the players.... I won't give up. However short that time may be.

I simply love the club and we need this thorough review before it is too late. My father, Wayne Thomson, played for Balmain in the early 70's and as a result, my family and I are life long supporters. Many of us are members, which includes a 10 year member. Black and Gold is simply in our blood. Over the decades, we have collectively travelled to hundreds of matches to our home grounds in Sydney, every Tamworth match to date, all four Magic Rounds along with regular home and away matches in Brisbane, Gold Coast, Redcliffe, Canberra, Newcastle, Wollongong and Melbourne. In happier times, my family and I attended every match of the 2005 Finals Series, including our historic Grand Final victory. The vast majority of this travel has been from our home towns of Taree and Forster, 3.5 hrs north of Sydney. Our commitment, passion and support for the club is clearly evident. We need this review now. We have had coaching staff overhauls and regular player clean-outs but as we know, only the off-field management somehow have remained unaccountable. We need this review now as the supporter base has 'kept the faith' for long enough and we are saddened to continue to watch our once proud Tigers turn up like lambs to the slaughter for the majority of the season thanks to decisions that have been made from the front office.
We need this review now before the club loses more life long supporters like members of my family, myself and thousands of other members of the Wests Tigers community.
Thanks to the Wests Tigers Podcast for giving fans and members the opportunity for their voices to be finally seriously heard.

Because the current board has run the club into the ground, look at all the top players that they have let go and now we are struggling to get any top players to sign with us. The amount of money wasted on paying out for sacked coaches and players is ridiculous, that money would have been better spent paying out the committee to leave.Terry Gilligan (Davidson, 2023-07-12)

I’m signing because I honestly believe that the top to bottom fundamentals in the Tigers needs a serious review. The CEOs refusal to solely focus on the financial and corporate side of the organisation(which he is clearly good at) and his constant undermining and interferring in football department decisions should be his own undoing. How a club has next to no "football" minded people on its board and expects to make decisions to have a succesful football program is laughable. The club is a business but its key product is the football team so a more balanced board to reflect the business and the football would make sense if wests ashfield were serious about this club being successfulRobbie Maroon (Parramatta, 2023-07-12)

As a 35 year loyal supporter of former Balmain Tigers and the joint venture Wests Tigers, it has become increasingly difficult to sit back and accept loss, after loss, after loss.A culture of loosing young talent labelled the Tigers as a ‘feeder club’. Currently we have a wealth of young future talent which must be secured before they are poached.
We’ve operated a revolving door for coaches, which has caused long term issues. A succession of I’ll advised signings and inflated contracts under incompetent coaches and board crippled our NRL team. The long term effects of which we are still paying for.
We sacrifice too many home games to play at grounds where we have no sense of ‘home’.
Despite making several key player signings in 2023, we still have no quality halves pairing and are unlikely to attract the quality halves we need due to the growing reputation for chaos and incompetence.
We seem destined to receive back to back wooden spoons. That’s unacceptable.
The root of our problem clearly goes far deeper and beyond just the players on the field.
For the club and the NRL team to regain credibility we need a reset, a restructure, and that cannot happen unless there is a thorough external review of all aspects of club management. Anything less is meaningless lip service.

And a chairman telling everyone to relax after having so many chances is not what we need, not a CEO who barely understands the game. We deserve better.Brent Rice (Sydney, 2023-07-13)

We as supporters who purchase merchandise year in and year out. Attend games and support the club week in week out, deserve better. Our coaching staff should have all of a say in who they want, and don’t want in their rosters and front office needs to have more transparency in communication and no more the secret squirrel crap keeping things from the coaching staff and keeping them in the dark.Once this or rectifed then comes better results on the field. And creates a good culture at the club.

I’ve been a hardcore Wests Tigers fan since the merger. I’m at a loss at what’s happened to the club since we won the premiership in 2005. Problems always start from the top and trickle down to our performances on the field but no one at the top of the club ever gets held accountable. Enough is enough. Time for a clear out of our management and CEO.Justin Giusti (West Pennant Hills , 2023-07-14)
