I think these students deserve the right to graduate in their academic year! They are studying professions that will benefit us members of the public! Let’s celebrate that the right way and on time!

I’m signing this because I would like my BA social work graduation to go back to September

(Plymouth, 2019-05-23)

#1006

I pay a lot of money to study at university (more than £50,000) so I’d like to have my graduation When I finish university and not in the height of winter. Thank you

(Plymouth, 2019-05-23)

#1010

I am a student that will be affected by this. It's very disappointing.

(Taunton, 2019-05-23)

#1013

I am a student nurse who will be affected by this change.. please let us graduate in September 2020 on the Hoe!!!!!

(Exeter, 2019-05-23)

#1014

I am also a student nurse due to graduate at the same time and would be devastated if this was done to us!! Give them the graduation they’ve been looking forward to since day one!!

(Taunton, 2019-05-23)

#1015

It's so unfair nurses have had their graduation on Plymouth hoe for years it's unfair to change this tradition and make them wait 6 months most will be working hard in hospitals and may not be able to get there

(Bridgwater, 2019-05-23)

#1018

I hope this is a joke

(Lincolnshire, 2019-05-23)

#1022

I'm signing because this is unfair - we worked just as hard as all the other alumni before us and yet we are getting a sub standard ceremony. Unacceptable.

(Plymouth, 2019-05-23)

#1023

No student should have to wait an additional 6 months just because of a single celebration taking place in the usual graduation hall.

(Bridgwater, 2019-05-23)

#1024

I want graduation on the Hoe as promised!!

(Plymouth, 2019-05-23)

#1025

This is ridiculous, three years of hard work we deserve the graduation we were promised, just like every other year.

(Plymouth, 2019-05-23)

#1026

I was looking forward to having my graduation on the hoe in the sun, rather than in the guildhall building in the winter.

(Paignton, 2019-05-23)

#1027

My sister should not be denied her graduation because the city has so kindly put money over the celebration of students who have worked their hearts out to reach their dreams.

(Bude, 2019-05-23)

#1030

My graduation was later than others and at the theatre royal not on the hoe as I was a PCA student, and it just felt crappy compared to the plymouth Uni one, so I’d hate to be a student at the uni and not have the chance to have this incredible experience. Also even having mine in November felt ridiculous so February is just out of the question

(Plymouth, 2019-05-23)

#1036

I'm a student affected by this

(Plymouth, 2019-05-24)

#1042

Seems that our cohort has had the short straw over and over, first no hep b jab now this

(Newquay, 2019-05-24)

#1043

Graduation is really important and the way it’s being dealt with is a joke

(Exeter, 2019-05-24)

#1046

Because in Feb 2021, the otometery students will be having pre reg exams so a large proportion may not be able to attend

(Plymouth, 2019-05-24)

#1052

You have peeved my sister off with all the hard work she and everyone else has done!

(Preston, 2019-05-24)

It’s a tradition that shouldn’t be moved

(Paignton, 2019-05-24)

#1057

I’m signing because I want to have the graduation at Plymouth Hoe and on 2020

(Exeyer, 2019-05-24)

#1062

I don’t want to wait another 6 months to graduate

(Plymouth, 2019-05-24)

#1065

I want to graduate on the hoe!!

(Plymouth, 2019-05-24)

#1068

My friend is graduating and was promised this in September not February

(Cossington, 2019-05-24)

#1071

I feel that graduation finalises part of a long educational journey which for most, will enable them to feel the satisfaction and pride once moving into our chosen careers. Having to wait till the following year will only take the shine off of the feeling of success and could potentially force people not to attend, which I feel is a real shame.

My sisters uni

(Birmingham, 2019-05-24)

#1084

I am a mental health nursing student who this change in graduation date will be affecting. I’d love for it to be closer and make my graduation feel as important as it is to me rather than waiting till the following year.

(Plymouth, 2019-05-24)

#1091

Obtaining a degree is hard work for two years vlood sweat and tears have gone into work and now the celebration is 6months after the occasion has happened.. its demotivating x

(Dawlish, 2019-05-24)

#1092

Im a business management student in the same year and I dont want to graduate there or on that time.

(Plymouth, 2019-05-24)

#1093

Not okay! People have jobs lined up after uni and September is easier to work around than February!!!

(Plymouth, 2019-05-24)

#1102

It is not fair on the students who work very hard each term, then get's told me have moved your graduation to a later dated. Then they are also told we have moved venues and you can't have all the family and friends, that mean the most to you at the new venue. Because there is not enough seating for everyone, it's not fair.

(Cardiff, 2019-05-25)

#1103

I would love for me and my family to watch my sister graduate together

(Cardiff, 2019-05-25)

#1109

I am a second year nursing student. This will greatly affect myself and my classmates as we have worked extremely hard to get where we are and don’t deserve for our celebration to be delayed and for our relatives to miss out

(Devon, 2019-05-25)

(Bridgwater, 2019-05-26)

#1124

(Skegness, 2019-05-26)

#1128

I want my graduation to be on the hoe at around the same time that we usually graduate. Waiting till Feb 2021 is just way too long

(Plymouth, 2019-05-27)

#1134

My friend and her class mates have worked so hard!!!!!

(Newton abbot, 2019-05-27)

#1135

Unfair to do this to students after they have worked so hard

(Torquay, 2019-05-27)

#1136

It’s an iconic moment and it should be the same for everyone

(Newton Abbot, 2019-05-27)

#1138

Thanks really not fair on you guys :(

(Devon, 2019-05-27)

#1161

I am doing a fast track course so that I can get my degree done sooner. This allows me to get a job sooner too. I do not want to be coming back 6 months later to graduate!

(Plymouth, 2019-10-11)
