There is a need for people to continue enjoying this space. Please keep it real? And remember the folks that enjoy this space on a day to day basis

Trish Hall (Napier, 2020-10-24)

There are only a few natural parks like this in existence now close to Napier and Hastings . It is an opportunity to enjoy a pleasant day with families.

Lorraine Watts (Hastings, 2020-10-24)

#808

that is my whakapapa, not a bike hub

Dayna Peterson (Napier, 2020-10-24)

I agree that Eskdale park should stay as it is. This is a beautiful park and I have spent many of times there picnicking with my family and friends.

Jennie Avery (Napier, 2020-10-24)

We are locals who love going to Eskdale park for exercise, swimming and picnics regularly with our family and dog. Please leave it alone in its natural habitat. It is beautiful

Rachel Goodyer (Eskdale, 2020-10-24)

I used to live on the Napier-Taupo Road and often used the park. The park should be left as a natural reserve and green space for families to enjoy

ray lee (taupo, 2020-10-24)

I love it

I personally have grown up round this area and have many memories there.. mtb have there own place n shit to ride already .. they can go find somewhere else.. if not we'll deal with eskdale park as it is because I believe it should stay as a nature green place where people can bring there family's to and have picnics under the tress aswel as listening to the birds!

This was where I had my wedding. I dont want it to change.

This park has huge sentimental value

Courtney Mason (Napier, 2020-10-24)

#823

This is a lovely family park that my family love visiting and creating memories in, the trees are beautiful. I'd be deverstated to this park ripped to pieces for a mountain bike track when there is also so many tracks in the area

Stacey Lyford (Napier, 2020-10-25)

#824

I totally agree with the issues raised in this petition.

Bobi Munro (Hastings, 2020-10-25)

#841

Wreaking a nice family friendly park and turning it into a playground for a few spoilt people with mountain bikes is ridiculous, There is a perfectly good bike park in Napier.

Robert Walker (Tokoroa, 2020-10-26)

#844

I'm signing because we used to go here as children and play for hours and I would love the opportunity to do the same with my own children and grandchildren in the future

Megan Hunt (Napier, 2020-10-26)

#845

I’m shocked they would ruin this space developing it for a specific group like mountain bikers, when it is treasured by families as it is.

Hanna Robertson (Napier, 2020-10-26)

#849

Its Historic to me, and the generations of memories with many Whanua who enjoyed activities.

Develope the pan Pac mt bike park, NOT esk park, this park is the BEST park for extended family gatherings, it has shade, large flat areas for games/run arounds. Families can spread out. The stream is the BEST in the bay for swimming, safe for younger children, deeper pools for older kids, clean and full of wildlife. It truly is one of a kind in the bay, it can not be replaced, it should be maintained but not developed. I strongly oppose any development due to the above reasons.

Lani Foote (Napier, 2020-10-27)

#855

I use this area with children during Holiday Programmes. We are able to play games and the children are able to run fairly freely safely with staff supervising. There is shade, a playground, toilets and a beautiful river. The only things that are needed are more toilets and easier access to the water.

Leslie Lane (Napier, 2020-10-27)

#859

I'm signing because I go there every summer with my children and even for time away with my kids. Its peace out of the city

Vickey Tanenui (Hastings, 2020-10-28)

Marie Ewens (Westshore, 2020-10-28)

#861

Having spent many fantastic days there as a family, I want other families in the future to be enjoy the park as it is.

Rob Pratt (Hastings, 2020-10-28)

#863

I'm signing because it is a lovely place to go in summer. Pan Pac hold their staff's children Christmas Party here every year and have done for many many years, I would hate to see that stopped. Great place to get married, my friend pulled up in a horse and cart, it was such a lovely day. The river is an extremely safe place for your kids to swim, it would be a real shame to see the lovely natural environment it is to be lost.

Toni Reid (Npier, 2020-10-28)

#864

Many school picnics attended with my kids and amazing memories made. It would be a great loss if it was devaloped. Build the hub at one of the existing mountain biking dedicated spots

Elaine Meyer (Napier, 2020-10-29)

#866

The park is too beautiful to limit to a small number of people ie mountain bikers.

Kay Le Comte (Napier, 2020-11-01)

#867

I'm signing because I want to see the park remain as a natural park for everyone to enjoy and not to become commercialized.

Christine Harris (Napier, 2020-11-01)

I have spent many a happy day here, it is a huge part of my childhood memories !

Lindsay Gibb (Haumoana, 2020-11-02)

#871

There are not many places where you can be in such natural and relaxing surroundings, playing rounders with the family's have a snooze under a tree. just being in touch with nature.

Janice Sargison (Palmerston nth, 2020-11-03)

#873

Because we love it out there and gready people just think about oh we can make money off this pass off and leve it

Kerry mckenzie (Napier, 2020-11-04)

#874

I went to this park many many times during my childhood and always go back when we visit Hawke’s Bay. My Mums ashes were spread there so this area has many fond memories.

Myra Nelson (Napier, 2020-11-12)

#878

I am signing because many families enjoy picnics and children's parties at the park.

Shona Tupe (Napier, 2020-11-12)

#879

I’m signing because my parents got married there and it’s a very sentimental place to me, my family and so many other people we don’t want it ruined with mountain bike hubs, there aren’t many spots left for people to go and chill with their families because everything’s getting changed, some things just have to be left alone.

Ebony Arthur (Napier, 2020-11-13)

#880

Eskdale park is beautiful as it is and should be left that way

Kimberley Nelson (Napier, 2020-11-13)

I want to preserve the beautiful park that I grew up in and my family love to enjoy

Teresa Nelson (Auckland, 2020-11-14)

#882

We desperately need natural green spaces for the intrinsic value they have in and of themselves, and as places that provide habitat for biodiversity, mitigation of climate change (trees), and quiet, green spaces that support the wellbeing of our communities

Vanessa Moon (Napier, 2020-11-26)

#885

I love visiting park because it is so Quite and peaceful

Gary Gwynne (Cambridge, 2020-11-28)

#887

Eskdale park is a very tranquil setting and has a unique location. On the outskirts of busy city life and not too rural.
I enjoy walking with the dogs and family in this peaceful setting as it sets rigjts to the rest of the day.

Claire Strachan-McNeill (Napier, 2020-12-19)

#890

This proposal will be taking away a beautiful park, a long enjoyed family gathering place, to serve the interests of a minority. Surely an alternative location can be found for mountain bike enthusiasts.

Lyn Whincop (Napier, 2021-01-29)

#892

My family and I love how quiet and relaxing it is at Eskdale Park. We visit here often and there is no place like it! Please leave it as it is!

Sacha Bell (Napier, 2021-02-20)

#900

I want to stay as a park for all

Gaile Thompson (Napier, 2021-02-26)

#902

I am a great grandson of the benefactor, Thomas Clark, of this Park which was created 'to form a properly constituted public domain available for recreational purposes for all time'. See file 212, Record R24806567. Also file 11 Record R24806568 HB Regional Council Management Plan 1981 for further clarification including 'protection of the natural environment'.

Tim Cullwick (Waipawa, 2021-03-13)

#905

I would like the park to remain as it is, There is no place like it, I have grown up going here and so have my kids. My dog loves it there and it is just a beautiful natural park and I want it to stay the same.
