Jem Hunns (Ipswich , 2020-03-12)

#805

I'm signing because there are far too many venues closing, and with the amount of new building going on in Dagenham where are people going to have any group recrenational pleasure. This venue is years old, my grandad played piano in a band their in the very same venue in the 50's this is unique and should be clasified a heratige building.

Terry Harvey (Rainham, 2020-03-12)

#807

Ben Gillingwater (Leigh on Sea, 2020-03-12)

#829

We have lost too many of our historical buildings which have been replaced with eyesore housing! They are turning our area into a dumping ground with no infrastructure!! Leave our buildings alone 😡

I’m a musician myself and feel very strongly that venues like the Roundhouse should be preserved for future generations. I think more respect should be shown for entertainment venues. They are a valuable resource to the communities they serve and have served. Hands off!

Mark Wright (Royston, 2020-03-12)

#847

Live music is very important, I go there and it's music history between '69 and' 75 is so important...... Led Zep & Velvet Underground have played there!
In the last few years they tore down the Towers in Hornchurch where the Beatles & Stones played, don't make that mistake locally again!

Tim Maile (Rainham, 2020-03-12)

#848

We need to keep these venues alive for the benefit of all now and in the future.

The Roundhouse is a legendary music venue where many of the greats of the British Rock and Blues scene have performed. Whilst the memory of those great days is kept alive by regular "Village Blues Club Reunions" The Roundhouse continues to be a key focal point in East London for live music, ….. an increasingly rare thing and important to preserve our culture and music heritage

Ian Redding (Deal, 2020-03-12)

#855

It's an iconic venue crucial for live bands /performances.

Jelena Gunner (Braintree , 2020-03-12)

#856

The roundhouse is part of the musical heritage of london-enough boring flats already

Patrick Timbs (London, 2020-03-12)

#859

This is a great pub, part of our heritage and must not be allowed to disappear to feed the money grabbing council and private enterprise which has already distroyed so much of the boroughs history.

Russell John (London, 2020-03-12)

#861

Philip Ebsworth (Forest gate, 2020-03-12)

#887

I lived in Woodward road and I used to drink in the Roundhouse in the 70s. This pub has a lot of history especially for the group's that played there. My parents used the pub and watched al the top up and coming, now famous groups. To many pubs being demolished in the Barking and Dagenham let's my loose this iconic establishment.

Paul Mead (London, 2020-03-12)

paula dixon (Romford , 2020-03-12)

#916

I'm signing because this is one of a few places in the community that locals can get together, keeping up traditions of local events, etc people come together to integrate, dance, sing, etc. This building has a history of hosting many famous artists, helps to keep live entertainment going which is slowly dying out. This is an important meeting point in the community which people should share via social media to gain as much attention as possible.

Hooks average 4 National Champions a year & have 100 people a week train at our gym, The Roundhouse is a fundamental part of boxing & music in London, it is key to the development of both these worthy activities - Ron Boddy

Ron Boddy (London, 2020-03-12)

#930

There aren’t enough live music venues as it is and not everyone can afford expensive concerts, let alone people losing their livelihoods!

Christine Morley (Romford , 2020-03-12)

#932

My son is a boxer who fights regularly at this venue it would be a shame to see this venue go like so many other

Martin Ives (London, 2020-03-12)

#933

It’s just another piece of history we’ll be losing. Must not be allowed to happen.

Ian Caile (Lowestoft , 2020-03-12)

#934

As a boxing coach it’s very important for the roundhouse to keep open for the community use / in such a positive way for the community social well-being will people get together around in the community use of the roundhouse as a positive way for the community to get together and share good moments in an area where we are growing up... The roundhouse has a pinnacle affects of people coming together in sports entertainment and family get-togethers one of the few places like that in our community we must keep it open please

Paul Ewen (Leicester, 2020-03-12)

#957

Anyone moving to the area knows that this live music venue is there already. It is part of local and wider culture. Any objections are a bit like people who move to the country and then complain about animal noise.

Janet Croucher (Essex, 2020-03-12)

#959

too many local music venues are closing

James Pearce (Hornchurch, 2020-03-12)

Jules Goodger (Dagenham, 2020-03-13)

#995

I’m signing today because this is an iconic landmark and venue and it’s loss will greatly diminish Dagenham. It was party of my youth but it still holds reunions as well as putting on new entertainment.
