I’ve been in Lombok 2 weeks ago and had the opportunity to see with my eyes how much Lombok is really drowning in plastic. I was actually shocked. Even if the natural landscapes are more than beautiful, they’re covered by plastic bottles, bags and every other kind of plastic item. What’s sad is that people are not sensitized enough (in some cases not even aware) about the plastic problem and its consequences on the planet. Furthermore, there’s no plastic replacement ideas.
I contribute in my every day life by not buying anything made of plastic or covered by it, because I deeply think that humanity is able to live without it.
I really hope that you will achieve your ban-single use-plastic law.
