We, the undersigned students, staff, and concerned citizens, stand in solidarity with Sisonke, the student who tragically lost her life at the hands of a residence manager at Walter Sisulu University. This senseless act of violence is a stark reminder of the systemic issues that plague our institution, where students are frequently belittled, oppressed, and marginalized by those in positions of power.

Demands for Change
We demand:

1. Immediate investigation: A thorough and transparent investigation into Sisonke's death, with regular updates to the university community.
2. Accountability: Action against the residence manager and any other individuals found responsible for Sisonke's death.
3. Policy reforms: Revisions to the university's policies and procedures to prevent similar incidents in the future.
4. Support for students: Increased support services for students, including counseling, advocacy, and protection from harassment and abuse.
5. Student-centered approach: A shift towards a more student-centered approach, prioritizing students' well-being, dignity, and human rights.

Solidarity with Sisonke's Family
