Reinstate our friendly and wonderful postman Jim Denslow

Jim is an honest, hard working man who for years served this community. I find it incomprehensible that he should have been sacked for telling the truth after a minor accident. This man has been a credit to the Royal Mail, and this is the way they repay him?

Jim was our postman, the politest & friendly postie we've ever had dealings with.

(Wiveliscombe, 2016-12-13)

Mistakes like this happen every day. I have had many lost parcels due to Royal Mail, but never seen anyone get sacked for that.

He's a loyal Royal Mail worker who deserves much more respect than he is receiving!!

Jim was an excellent postman on the Preston Bowyer round and his dismissal over an accident is shabby and heavy-handed and indicates extremely poor HR management at the PO. He should be re-instated forthwith and his so-called managers disciplined.

(Milverton, 2016-12-13)

Jim is one of the friendliest postmen we have had. Also punishment is totally disproportionate

(WIVELISCOMBE, 2016-12-13)

#613

This is over the top!

(Wiveliscombe, 2016-12-13)

The Post Office Managers should recognise what a wonderful employee they have in Jim and how much the Wiveliscombe community appreciate him.

(Wiveliscombe, 2016-12-13)

#615

Jim's a wonderful postman and Royal Mail should be proud of him.

(Wiveliscombe, 2016-12-13)

This smacks of maladministration by the Post Office

(Wiveliscombe, 2016-12-13)

#617

to sack Jim is completely unjustified

(Wiveliscombe, 2016-12-13)

#619

Jim is a valued servant of our community

(Wiveliscombe, 2016-12-13)

Because that's bureaucracy gone insane!

(Sunderland, 2016-12-13)

#625

Jim is an example of a wonderful, thoughtful, cheerful public spirited person and should be an example to all postmen/women

(Milverton, 2016-12-14)

#626

Over the year of knowing Jim, NOBODY is less deserving of dismissal. He is not only unfailingly cheerful and efficient, but performs a valuable social service in his consideration and care for the elderly on his round

(Milverton, 2016-12-14)

Shocked and disappointed. I'm partial to the online shop and always have Jim come and deliver to me with a smile and friendly conversation. You can see the love he has for his job and I was so upset to hear this has happened to the cheeriest man I know when he works so hard to provide for himself and his family. Best of luck next week x

(Wiveliscombe, 2016-12-14)

#629

He should have received a warning, not the sack.

(Bournemouth, 2016-12-14)

#630

This all sounds very very unfair indeed!

(Wellington, 2016-12-14)

I am signing this petition because Jim Denslow should have never been sacked, Royal Mail are a disgrace.

(Taumton, 2016-12-14)

#637

I'm signing because Jim is a credit to the Royal Mail and this is health and safety gone mad.

(Wiveliscombe, 2016-12-15)

Please reinstate this lovely postman to his job as Postman for the Wiveliscomvbe district and his devoted public. He goes way beyond to help people in the community.
We should be grateful for people like him. A rare person these days.
