Anthea Adams (Cape Town, 2023-11-07)

#411

This relocation will increase crime in a society already facing huge challenges. There's enough open areas within Langa for these dwellers to be relocated to. I mean where did they reside when the trains were operating???

Abdullah Petersen (Cape Town , 2023-11-07)

#414

I am against the move of langa railway to our community.

40000 backyard dwellers waiting 30 years for a home but you have money to build houses for people who you DA allow to break the law and put up shacks where they want..

Mark Davis (Cape Town , 2023-11-08)

#420

I am not happy with langa people moving in our road

Bilquees Williams (Cape Town , 2023-11-08)

#423

I am against the relocation of the people from Langa to Mitchell's Plain

Jessica Davids (Cape Town, 2023-11-08)

#425

Lack of infrastructure and services available in the area and increase in crime resulting in depreciation and further deterioration of the area. No good can come of this only bad.

Angus Olivier (Cape Town, 2023-11-08)

#426

Because it bring with crime like robbery, house break-ins and other. Our homes we bought through banks are then destroyed investments.Cause de pay homeloans with interest. This cause our value to drop and we unable to sell and relocate.

I am signing because i hate to see yhe coloured community getting destroyed while others are getting land and basic necessities for free. It's not fair

Dean Martin (Cape Town, 2023-11-08)

#433

I'm signing because Michelles plain are already over populated. No work for our people, highly crime rated.we can't afford more crime. And job less people where will they get water from etc who is going to pay for that!

Rachael Hanslo (Cape Town , 2023-11-08)

#434

people to the wedge to an informal settlement jeopardizes the agricultural business in the Philippi Horticultural Area (PHA).

• There are so many existing backyard dwellers in Mitchell’s Plain. Rewarding people who illegally invaded the central line is sending a message that the National Government rewards people who illegally invades land.

We need the central line to be 100% functional but it cannot be done at the expense of the residents of Mitchell’s Plain and dumping people in no-man’s land.

Madeniya Van Der Schyff (Cape Town, 2023-11-08)

#435

Why does these people need to be moved to Mitchell's Plain? So convenient man. We already have samora and siqalo ON OUR DOORSTEP this alone causes countless issues!!!

Thaheerah Classen (Cape Town, 2023-11-08)

#436

People in Mitchell's Plain have been on the housing list for many years and should get priority. There aren't enough schools and other facilities to accommodate the illegal occupiers. They ought to return to their own neighbourhoods.

Chris Paulsen (Cape Town, 2023-11-08)

#437

No to Langa squatters

Ashieka Harris (Cape town , 2023-11-08)

#442

I appose the development

Shameema Fester (Cape Town , 2023-11-09)

#443

It poses a threat to our safety as it would become an arena for conflict
Crime would increase due to an already over populated suburb. This would become the next " Bloodriver".
Mitchell's plain is Centred by Siqalo, Khayelitsha, Samora, The old Weltevreden road at the back of Siqalo...Colorado was Once the area to be, a cut above the rest, now there's no longer an increase in value of your asset.Mandalay has become a Ghost town...We as the residents of Mitchell's Plain and Strandfontein have found us totally surrounded.Should there be any form of conflict then we will be sucked in, and that in itself is the ultimate Evil Plan of those in Power. It was and is a long-term plan since the inception of democracy that it's payback time for those who sided with the previous regime...We were there and grew up as youngsters in the struggle, now we are branded as being traitors. What we have is what we worked hard for.Our aged members who still after over 50 years who still finds themselves as backyard dwellers, have built this country with our own hands, yet now we are squeezed out from a place we thought would be home after our Exodus during the Group Areas era.We say a big No to the Planned intergration. We did not invite those residents to shack up on Prasa property. We had absolutely nothing to do with it.Those who defrauded the S.O.E's are the Prime cause for this mess..
"Ons is Gatvol en Klaar...Gatvol"

Godfrey Ray Ray (Capetown, 2023-11-09)

Nadia Charles (Cape Town , 2023-11-09)

Over populating our area with too many people will be a cause for increased crime and disagreements. I am against the relocation plans as it will affect the residents who live here already.

Nurjihaan Faardiel (Cape Town, 2023-11-09)

#450

Why dump more people in Mitchells Plain. We already having so much issues regarding over crowded schools and crime. Please put them on the Rondebosch Common or Goverment property close to Kirtenbosch Botanical gardens.

Victor Schoeman (Cape Town, 2023-11-09)

#452

I want the City of Cape Town to stop relocating the people from Langa to move to vacant land in Strandfontein/Mitchell's Plain. Our people have been on waiting lists for many years and some of them took their final breathed and have never held the keys to their houses yet. Plus then most of them are illegal squatters, they get free electricity and water. I have invested in my property, so if they are goung to occupy that space, the value of our houses will drop.

They occupy spaces in our schools, then our schools are too full to accept our own. Our parents are already struggling post Covid, so now they struggle to foot the bill to pay got traveling to schools outside the area.

Another problem will be taxis. Infighting for permits, routes and ranks.

So NO... NO....NO...

Jaycee Summers Asia (Cape Town, 2023-11-09)

Cleon Meyer (cape town, 2023-11-09)

#456

City of Cape Town think nothing of people of colour people come to our city from other provinces and get house or just take land and nothing happens to them but if people of colour what to take land then we get put in jail

#465

Government and City need to find other resolution for these people and STOP using Mitchell's Plain as a dumping site for problems they don't want to deal with!!!

Widaah Benjamin (Cape Town, 2023-11-10)

#467

Silence about the relocation is complicity...There are Close on 500+ families in and around Mitchell's Plain classified as backyard dwellers that are still waiting for more than plus minus 30 years for housing...if any they should be house first...squatting and then expect to jump the queue for housing is a BIG no no...The ANC must STOP bringing in people from the Eastern Cape and other Provinces as political tools expecting to WIN the Western Cape...That will never happen

richard Cupido (City of Cape Town, 2023-11-10)

#468

I do Not approve of the relocation. why can't government make space for them elsewhere?

Charmaine Williams (Cape Town , 2023-11-10)

#473

It's the right thing to do. We must work hard for what we want and others just get them for free

Ricardo Smith (Cape Town, 2023-11-10)

#475

It's unfair towards all the residents of Mitchells Plain

Aqeelah Brink (Cape Town, 2023-11-16)

#477

I'm signing because as a mitchelsplain resident that pays rates and pay taxes the CITY OF CAPE TOWN can't just relocate people in our area and put up shacks that's gone devalue our properties. And also the crime rate for that area will rise and smash and grab to.We as the citizens of CAPE TOWN feels that the DA is failing us they don't hear our plea.

Letasha Williams (Cape Town, 2023-11-16)

#478

Mitchells Plain has become over populated and high population causes more crime rate. That is what is happening in mannernberg and Hanover park currently

Mogamat Botha (Cape Town South Africa , 2023-11-17)

#480

This is completly unfair. My grandparents have been on a waiting list for the past 30+ ysars and still do not have their own house. Giving houses to people who come from another province and burn infrastructure that already cannot bear the load is nonsensical. Also why do illegal squaters get land around mitchells plain when mitchells plain already has a housing crisis???

Neville Louis Allie (Cape Town , 2023-11-21)

#486

This is really unfair and this road and area will now become a red zone, a hotspot for hijacking’s and many more uncivilised attacks to our area.
