External Review of Wests Tigers Operations

#401

My passion for the Wests Tigers runs deep, deeper than I probably care to admit. But sometimes, it doesn't feel like that matters or that those in charge share the same passion. We're constantly told that we're on the up, but are we really? The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result - the things we're changing aren't working... so it's time to change the one thing that's been the same since these issues began and that's the leadership and governance of the club.

Kelly Hollis (Sydney, 2023-07-06)

#403

I no longer have any fsith in the board making us a successful club

Sarah Morgan (Bowen Mountain, 2023-07-06)

#405

An internal review such as what was done last year is a complete waste of time. The people at the top need to be held accountable and should not be excluded from a review

Matthew Johnson (Drummoyne , 2023-07-06)

#409

There needs to be an investigation on the poor management of this organisation.

Rob Maiden (Penrith, 2023-07-06)

#410

I’m signing because I want to get to the bottom of why this club continues to struggle no matter who is coaching or playing

Finnian Dublewicz (Sydney, 2023-07-06)

#412

I love the tigers. I have fowled tigers all my life

VINCE HALE (LAKE CATHIE NSW 2445, 2023-07-06)

Do nothing and nothing changes, there needs to be accountability.

Glenn Sparham (Grose wold, 2023-07-06)

#415

Dismal performance at all levels

John King (Udon thani, 2023-07-06)

#417

This current trajectory of the club is approaching terminal. A decade of regression is near bottom and change is needed. An independent review process should be the first step.

Joel Wootten (Newcastle , 2023-07-06)

#420

Sick of the crap leadership

Mitchell Edwards (Mt Eliza, 2023-07-06)

#421

I’m a lifelong supporter of the Wests Tigers who cares deeply about the club.

Lance Koschny (Wollongong, 2023-07-06)

#422

I feel our fans are taken for granted because even with the decade of poor results we would still be one of the most supported teams in the competition. If we were a consistently good club we would have to play every game out of Accor stadium. My 10 year old son is rusted on to the tigers and has only seen constant failure. This needs to change. Winning starts in the front office. You can’t have people who have been there for the whole failure retain their jobs because we make money. Fans are sick of being told to be patient. Is 12 years of failure not patient enough.

Shaun Ackroyd (Prospect, 2023-07-06)

#424

I want changes to the club we have change the coach, team and the chairman and ceo have never been held to account. This club needs change from the tol

Rob Martin (Townsville, 2023-07-06)

#430

It’s time for the entire board and front office management (CEO & Chairman) at weststigers move on & be held accountable for the disastrous situation the football club is in

Maria Hantes (Sydney , 2023-07-06)

#431

I have been a supporter of the Tigers since the Merger...and Tigers long before that.
I love the Tigers and will always support them, but I would love to see changes in the management and answer.

Robyn Eagles (ERMINGTON, 2023-07-06)

#432

I’m supporting the change in management that needs to occur at the Wests Tigers

Hector Samuels (Sydney , 2023-07-06)

#434

I’ve had enough off this hopeless board except John Dorahy the rest need to go along with that joke pascoe

Darren Mills (Moranbah, 2023-07-06)

#438

I care!

Tim Kay (Mount Lewis, 2023-07-06)

#440

74-0 - currently running last - wooden spoon in 2022 - disastrous end to 2021 - not making the finals since 2011 - 3 finals appearances in 24 seasons - a pathetic CEO - a pathetic chairman - a pathetic board?

Campbell Logan (Lower Hutt, 2023-07-06)

#442

I believe a review has been needed for years now. Something has to change.

Kris Mou (Sydney, 2023-07-06)

#443

The team I love is a mess and I’m sick of it.

Jake Conduit (Wyoming , 2023-07-06)

#444

I’m signing because I am sick of years of a losing culture

Omero Combi (Muggia, 2023-07-06)

#446

It starts at the top - shit only rolls one way

Carl Allan (Christchurch , 2023-07-06)

#447

The management of this club has had this club on a constant downward trajectory for over 10 years and changes are needed asap.

Nathan Dietrich (Brisbane , 2023-07-06)

#448

I love my Tigers

Tom Quealy (Balmain East, 2023-07-06)

I believe the rot starts at the top.

Anne Lynton (Five Dock, 2023-07-06)

Jason Wood (Wyoming, 2023-07-06)

#452

I want to see effective change

Rafael Briant (SYDNEY, 2023-07-06)

#453

The front office needs to go

John Marco (Muswellbrook , 2023-07-06)

#454

Holman Barnes Group have control over facets of the club. Everyone is hand picked including the incompetent board.

Russell McDonnell (Brisbane , 2023-07-06)

#455

I am sick of our club performing so terribly. We have good players, and facilities, but year after year we are mediocre.

John McCarthy (Port Pirie, 2023-07-06)

#456

As a paying member of this once great club, We need a formal review to get out of the troubles we are in.

Jaryd Todd (Wollongong, 2023-07-06)

#458

Sick of having no hope about the present or future of the club at any level on and off the field. Fans deserve a competent ownership and board that has the club's best interests at heart and that gives us a competitive chance at winning matches on a regular basis, with effective and proactive planning for the short and long term to be able to get us playing finals football on a consistent basis. The aim of elite sport is to win, not to be happy to just exist and always achieve nothing

Harley Donaghey (Sydney , 2023-07-06)

#459

We need a change ASAP. It's not good for mental health to be a supporter of this club and we need massive change starting from the top

Joey Bayssari (Nsw, 2023-07-06)

#460

I can't see the club changing without atheist a review if not resignations at the top. Let's not screw up all the talent we have coming through by loosing it over signing hastens and overpaying them.

Stephen Tuddenham (Sydney, 2023-07-06)

#461

I’m signing this petition because I no longer have faith in the ability of the administration at weststigers. We have a CEO who has overseen 8 years of no final appearances and was suspended for cheating the salary cap. We have a chairman who has a complete conflict of interest being the major sponsor of not only this club but others in the NRL. We have a board that is stale and continue to drive the loser culture at the club. It’s time for complete change with people with fresh eyes and approaches to drive a new culture and hold the club accountable instead of worrying about their cushy positions.

Craig McGuire (Newcastle, 2023-07-06)

#465

Lee, Justin and Tim have zero grapple on the reality of their ineptitude. They are fumbling their way from mistake to mistake and we suffer for their inaction. Enough!

Brett Lee (Sydney, 2023-07-06)

#467

12 years without playing a finals game, and looking like back to back wooden spoons...sorry Lee, the faith is lost

Daniel Reynolds (Leichhardt, 2023-07-06)

#468

Growing up in inner western Sydney until I was 8yo my family followed the West Magpie’s.

Some of my earliest memories are playing with the Berala Bears & heading out to Lidcome oval to watch the Maggie’s.

When we moved to Melbourne in 1988 my grandmother would send me newspaper clippings so I could keep up with the NSWRL & we’d get the odd ABC game on a Sunday (no internet back then)

With the merger I had a perfect excuse / reason to ditch my heritage and follow the Storm but there was no way that was ever going to happen.

Religiously I have attended West Tigers games down here from our inception & continue to do so now with my own family, even if West Tigers rarely accommodate interstate supporters or put anything on for us which is disappointing.

I’m a West Tiger tragic, and my kids had no chance from the get-go to follow anyone but West Tigers.

Now imagine living in a non NRL town for the last 36 years where the towns own NRL team (Storm) are governed near perfectly, have very successful accommodating game day family events & as well as THEY'RE WINNERS... they breed success..

How do I keep interested? How can I stay loyal and keep supporting the team when the current management continue to do the same thing time and time again, over and over.

Making the same mistakes, continually interfering, sabotaging and then glossing over their incompetence. We the fans deserve better, I demand better, otherwise I guarantee the club will lose the next generation of us LIFE LONG supporters.

Boys my life revolves around West Tigers every NRL season, I watch every game, if we’re on holidays my wife will actively make sure I have somewhere to watch our game.

If we can’t the game, we’ll record it and watch a replay.

All of my mates / kids etc know not to text me or discuss a West game or results without asking if I have seen the game 1st

That’s how hardcore I am.

But it’s starting to wear thin, to the point where I might only watch a half & my kids are not watching West games at all :(

Comparing my club to a Melbourne, we’re not in the same stratosphere.

But we should be & deserve to be and this is why I am signing this petition..

Daniel Couzens (Wonga Park, 2023-07-06)

#470

I started supporting this team from 1975, waited long and hard for 2005 to eventually come around, I don’t want to wait until 2035 for the next one! Make the tough call or you WILL lose me. Phil

Phil Dakin (Wishart , 2023-07-06)

#471

I grew up in Ryde, mum grew up in Lidcombe. We all went to Holy Cross, played for holy cross, my brother played lower grades for Balmain, my uncle played over 100 games for The magpies in reserves in the 60’s and I’ve had enough of the poor performances. If there’s any hint of conflicts of interests, board members not focussed, not passionate about the club, or governance structures that protect board members keep their snouts in the trough or so they can create rifts and factions, then let’s get an independent umpire run the ruler over it.

Damien Staunton (Adelaide, 2023-07-06)

#472

I am sick & tired of the direction of the club.

Nathan Earthrowl (Seven Hills, 2023-07-06)

#473

I'm sick of this current front office not taking any accountability for the on field results. They need to stand down if we have any chance of improving in the future

Luke Antoniadis (Sydney, 2023-07-06)

#474

I'm signing because of many many reasons.
To keep it short, I've seen nothing but poor decisions and interference of the football department from our board and management.
It is actually embarrassing at this point.
These guys need to save the supporters and themselves from the embarrassment.
Sad part is PASCOE and Hagipantelis actually think they've done a good job.
Get out of the club, you've done to much damage.

Ross Morgan (Lombok, 2023-07-06)

#476

I'm so tired of waiting for a competitive team

Anthony Schneider (Gold Coast , 2023-07-07)

#478

I want to see my club succeed. Be a team others fear instead of laughed at. We have such a big fan base, we could ignite the NRL if everything fires.

Rachel Smith (Parramatta, 2023-07-07)

#479

I believe there is severe mismanagement at upper levels of the club

Mark Collins (Canberra, 2023-07-07)

#480

Something needs to change.

Paul Wiggins (Sydney, 2023-07-07)

#481

We need fresh blood, thoughts & people who actually care about the club

Sandra Taylor (Geraldton , 2023-07-07)

#482

Been a Balmain/Wests Tigers fan since 1987. I’m just sick of bad decisions especially when it effects club legends who at one stage during their careers were treated like garbage (Marshall/Farah). I’m still on board with Sheens/Marshall coaching I think they should get final say on who to chase/sign.

No other club would win a game 66-18 only for off field management to make decisions that completely put a brick wall up on the moment we all finally experienced that Saturday night at Leichhardt. The pain in Joffas face after he scored summed up how we all feel now. The main people up top have made too many blunders and can’t seem to put themselves in the shoes of their fans. This is our club it’s always been. I spend 16 years 1990-2005 without making finals but still never felt this detached from the game in general.

Jacob Vozzo (Croydon Park, 2023-07-07)

#483

We deserve some success I'm over it,

John Roach (Brisbane, 2023-07-07)

#484

Always changing coaches & players but nothing changes same ol same old. Fish rot from the head

Dave Brown (Batemans , 2023-07-07)

#485

I believe that Justin and Lee are causing most of the issues at Wests Tigers. Neither is professional enough to run a football club. Justin is signing emails with Jp and Ceo - both show inattention to detail. Lee is constantly talking in the media which is causing more issues. He has also sent abusive texts to fans. They need to move on for the club to grow.

Ben Train (Ermington , 2023-07-07)

#487

I’m not confident the current board can run the club successfully

Paul Torrens (Horsfield bay, 2023-07-07)

#489

Just ******* fix it. I'm sick of being abused by my mates and colleagues every week. I tried to leave but I love the club too much. If you're looking for tips give me a call.

Liam McKerrow (Townsville, 2023-07-07)

#492

I’m disappointed in management decisions. Lack of recruitment.
The major sponsor being the Chairperson. It’s not right.
Poor on field performance.

Chris Earthrowl (Sydney , 2023-07-07)

#496

I’m sick and tired of paying thousands of dollars each year in memberships for my family in support of my club to see these 2 clowns continually and clumsily fumble their way around destroying our club from the top down.
We are the absolute laughing stock of the NRL and I’ve had enough.

Pete Scerri (Glenmore Park , 2023-07-07)

#500

There is no improvement in this clubs results after multiple roster and coaching changes

JAMES ELLIOTT (South Hedland, 2023-07-07)

#501

The players and coaches are being unfairly targeted in so many instances. The final issue for me in agreeing that The Board and management need reviewing was the signing of Scott Fulton, reportedly without consultation with the Coaches and then the departure of a great employee in McDonnell.

Allan Everett (Orange, 2023-07-07)

#503

We need an independent review of the entire organisation as a catalyst to make sustainable long term improvement. We have lost our way in developing a winning culture, everybody has to be accountable here not just the players and coaching staff.

Bruce Bartle (Sydney, 2023-07-07)

#504

Club keeps going backwards with the idiot CEO still steering the ship. Sack him. Sack the board. And sack the chairman. All useless at this point.

Neal C (Sydney, 2023-07-07)

#506

I'll been a former Balmain Tigers fan and then Wests Tigers fan, encompassing close to 40yrs and this is the worst it's ever been. It's an embarrassment and the future looks no better. I believe in the players, the coaches and other support staff but not the CEO or Chairman. The fans deserve a review. Enough is enough. How much worse can it get before some action is taken. We are at rock bottom as it is. It's time to review, make changes and move forward.

Richard Cushway (Mudgee, 2023-07-07)

#507

I’m sick of being thrashed

Terry Mead (Everton Park, 2023-07-07)

#509

The incompetence at the club is mind boggling. How an organisation with so much failure can continue to operate in this manner is beyond belief. Sick of hearing the guys at the top promising the world and delivering garbage.

Sami Obeid (Sydney, 2023-07-07)

#510

I’m sick of seeing our beloved tigers getting ran into the ground.

Judith Fullagar (Bradbury , 2023-07-07)

#513

The club needs some direction and common sense decision making from the top. We're directionless both on and off the field.

brett hedley (Caves Beach, 2023-07-07)

#514

Unless there is fundamental change to the inner workings of this club success won’t be had.
We have no go forward without change. The CEO and BOARD are in the media by choice every week. Our attempts to sign players is blasted on every paper in Australia. Our losses are getting worse.
No success will come without the tough choices being made. Let’s make a stance.

Paul T (Sydney, 2023-07-07)

#518

Nothing changes if nothing changes.

Matthew Cooper (Gosford, 2023-07-07)

#519

Tired of being a joke

Alan Anderson (Campbelltown , 2023-07-07)

#520

My heart is broken

Isabelle E (Qld, 2023-07-07)

#521

As a long time Wests Magpies supporter and now Wests Tigers supporter it is heart breaking to see our club with so much potential run into the ground due to apparent mismanagement, so many promises and so much disappointment. Please appoint a unit board and management capable of achieving our potential before our club loses its talented juniors and folds. We played Cronulla who were on a 10 game winning streak it takes us 3 years to win 10 games it just makes you want to cry we deserve better and so do our players.

Kevin Shackleton (Bathurst, 2023-07-07)

#524

The club is an utter embarrassment and something needs to be done higher up then keep sacking coaches

Nathan Cameron (Quilpie , 2023-07-07)

#525

The administration is terrible

James Watson (Petersham , 2023-07-07)

#526

I'm signing because I've had enough of the people at the top not interested in the actual football side of the club

Ralph Burkhardt (Oran Park, 2023-07-07)

#527

Change needs to happen. The coaches and players have changed. Yet it’s all still the same. The game has evolved yet the club is spear tackled into the ground

Ben Kent (Edensor Park, 2023-07-07)

#528

I’m a suffering support that’s suffered suffering for too long

Michael Bowen (Lugarno, 2023-07-07)

#529

The Tigers are a mess and it’s no fun beating them anymore.

Chris Wallace (Pottsville, 2023-07-07)

#530

The only constant in recent years has been Pascoe and the Board who oversee all the decisions, many of which have been atrocious. But … who oversees them? We need an independent review to change this.

Gerrie Fletcher (Kellyville North, 2023-07-07)

#532

David Mansell

David Mansell (Qld, 2023-07-07)

#536

The club has all the resources in the world and a strong junior base. It should be one of the best clubs in the league but is an absolute basket case. No accountability within management for more than a decade of failure.

Tom Pereira (Kingsford, 2023-07-07)

#538

The club is a complete shambles in every facet of its administration. Prospective signings will sign literally anywhere else (even UK SuperLeague), such is the toxicity of Wests Tigers, its culture and years of consistent failure. The lack of accountability for the board is extraordinary, and the conflict of interest in having a main sponsor as Chairman is almost inconceivably absurd.

Anders James (Brisbane, 2023-07-07)

#540

The only common thread to the ongoing decline of this club is the management team. They have had there chance it’s time to face up to the facts that there leadership only brings poor results.
Our family have had enough leave or close the club so we don’t have to endure any more.

Matthew Higginbotham (Sydney, 2023-07-07)

#541

The club deserves better than the current management can deliver. Tigers supporter since 1978

Derek Shying (Katoomba, 2023-07-07)

#544

We need to start over by making some serious changes at management level, namely, Pasco and chairman

Kevin Keen (Unanderra, 2023-07-07)

#545

I'm signing because I am absolutely sick of the mismanagement of this club over the last 10 plus years whether it be signing dud players, bending our cap than we are told itvwill take a few years to fix or paying out coaches or resigning a coach who we sacked 11 years ago and has done nothingsince.. I have been a fan for over 40 years and a former member and it looks to me we are further from the finals than ever. It even looks like the players have given up the fight and we will be lucky to hold onto the promising youngsters coming through. We should be looking at promoting the game more out at Campbelltown, that's where the growing population is and our future players.

Mathew Morgan (Point cook, 2023-07-07)

#546

I am signing the petition for change at the West Tigers club because the lack of on-field success has become disheartening. It is evident that the current state of the team requires immediate attention and a thorough review. By supporting this petition, I hope to bring about the necessary discussions and actions that will lead to improvements. It is crucial to seek help, clarification, and potential changes in management if all else fails, as the ultimate goal is to restore the club's competitiveness and provide the fans with a team they can truly rally behind. Together, we can advocate for the changes needed to revitalize the West Tigers and restore their position as a strong and respected force in the NRL.

Clint Connelly (Sydney, 2023-07-07)

#548

Enough is enough. Give the power back to the paying members and fans. We need change from the top down

Luke Palmer (Maroochydore , 2023-07-07)

#549

I've already been let down by losing my childhood teams, Western Suburbs Magpies, then lost the Bears to a corrupt Manly organisation.
I don't want to see the team I have supported from Day 1, The Wests Tigers.
The club I have purchased membership, memorabilia, merchandise and supported through the highs of a premiership and to embarrassing lows of a 74-0 loss.
It's about time this organisation's board was voted for by its members and supporters for the better of the club, not someone lining their pockets and ego at the expense of true supporters.
We are over being the retirement village, letting our best local juniors leave and the laughing stock of the competition as it has been for the last 10 years or so.

Paul Martin (Camden, 2023-07-07)

#550

The bureaucrats have failed the fans and players.

Chris O'Ralaigh (Portarlington, 2023-07-07)

#551

The CEO needs to be removed.

Michael Ilott (Melbourne , 2023-07-07)

#552

Fear I might lose my club … for the second time.

Adam L (Sydney, 2023-07-07)

#554

I am sick of the bullshit excuses year after year
We have changed everything thing except the main issue The front office

Les Stewart (Sydney , 2023-07-07)

#556

Because I want a successful club again the board ceo lee must go to start fresh

Damien Anderson (Millfield , 2023-07-07)

#557

The board & ceo are screwing the club

Brent Stern (Perth, 2023-07-07)

#560

We as fans deserve better

Deb Couzens (Wonga park, 2023-07-07)

#562

Because our CEO is a great disgrace

Tania Greczko (Queensland , 2023-07-07)

#563

I have had enough of the incompetence being shown by front office

Luke Cook (Port Macquarie, 2023-07-07)

#564

I’m sick of see the tigers out in terrible performance every season. Now likely a conceive wooden spoon.

Thomas Hrast (North Rocks, 2023-07-07)

#565

I'm signing because I am fed up with what is not happening to my team. I agree the board needs to go. Decisions need to be the approval by coaching staff and not made behind their backs. I as a supporter for over 60 years I have had enough plus you can't tell me that the board and Justin Pascoe think they are doing a good job.

Patricia Shelley (Sydney , 2023-07-07)

#569

The board members have jobs for life and that’s a huge problem. If nothing changes then nothing changes. Tony A and Rick Wayde control every decision made at the club and they’re running it into the ground.

Shay Quilty (Marsfield, 2023-07-07)

#570

I'm signing because the club administrators have run out of others to blame for sustained (and worsening) poor performance by the first grade team, including but not limited to results, recruitment and retention. 12 years without a finish in the top half of the table, overpaying poor marquee players and associated salary cap breaches, and allowing nearly all high performing players to leave. 3 of the NSW Origin backline this year were ex-Tigers players.

Benny Horn (ERSKINEVILLE, 2023-07-07)

#571

I am signing as I am not satisfied that the club is managed to a standard of the top NRL teams and it’s has reflected in 12 years of not making the semis . We have changed players and coaches nothing changed, the only constant is the CEO and Board so it seems obvious they need to be reviewed

Andrea Cannone (Sydney , 2023-07-07)

#573

Passionate member and sick of theses fools running the club and board making made decisions there’s no way these people can turn the club around under no circumstances they all need to go including Justin Pascoe see the West Tigers is overseen all of this

Shane Layt (Sydney , 2023-07-07)

#574

I love this team but Pascoe and the board are egotistical nutjobs who are blind to the outside world. Get rid of them all and rebuild or we will go under.

Richard Lakos (London, 2023-07-07)

#576

I love the club but it’s a shambles. At least I am old enough to have watched them win a few games. My poor kids on the other hand have never seen the Tigers play finals and unless something changes they never will. We have constantly changed players and coaches with no change it might be time to start looking at other areas to fix this mess.

Kieran Kelly (Brisbane , 2023-07-07)

#578

Pascoe need to go Lee need to go this club need investigations

Jackson Clark (Sydney , 2023-07-07)

#579

There needs to be accountability from Pascoe and Hagipantelis. Since Pascoe and since Hagipantelis became chairman in 2019 we have got worse. It’s time they both fall on their sword and leave.

Andrew Magee (Balmain East, 2023-07-07)

#580

The only thing that hasn’t changed is management. The CEO didn’t exactly install confidence in tiger town doco and the chairman does more interviews than the players. I can’t think of another CEO that is in the press at all. Granted, they have made money, but footy is entertainment and I haven’t been entertained by this club for years

Brett Piper (Glenorie, 2023-07-07)

#582

The chairman and CEO of our club have overseen almost a decade of failure. Both men and the board clearly not capable of turning the club around and making it successful. Voting rights need to be given to members.

Tim Adams (Sydney, 2023-07-07)

#583

We are in desperate need for a change we have sacked coaches been through players and still same result year in year out. It is time to start at the top

Craig van Veen (Bowen , 2023-07-07)

#586

We need major changes. This club is a joke. How long do you expect us supporters to have to put up with this. We can't even hold on to the players we have let alone try and convince players to sign with the club without having to pay overs.

Brendan White (Sydney, 2023-07-07)

Supporting Balmain since the 80's and West Tiger's since there merge with the Magpies, I am concerned about why we have performed so poorly since 2010. I am infavour of any action including an external investigation to find what the club needs to do to start winning and reach the top 8 at the end of the regular season.

I have no faith in the governance of the club. The club may have gone forward monetary wise but the running of the team has continually gone backwards under the current CEO. Pascoe Fiasco

I have absolutely had enough of the way the club has been run. From coaching appointments to front office debacles like the Anzac jerseys. Don't even get me started on recruitment and retention.

An external, whole of organisation review is needed to identify the issues and rectify continued failure at the club.

Pascoe and Hagipantelis are running this club into the ground. The club and the fans deserve better

Results are untenable and recruitment and retention are unlikely to improve with the reputation the club has at present. Major reform at all levels is needed as the club is failing.

We need change, 11 years of this is not good enough. All of us that of stuck by this team deserve better.

Wests Tigers are lacking accountability for more than a decade of bad football management. If changes are not made the club will continue to stay on the bottom of the NRL ladder.
