Rose Lane is NOT a place for the homeless. It is making me feeling extremely unsafe.

The Melb City Council is building this with 0 communication with residents. Rose Lane is already so rowdy and unsafe as it is (with police and security often patrolling the space because there is so much rowdiness). There are already many dealers and smugglers around and a lot of us already feel unsafe walking home. There has also been recent stabbings around the complex.

We’re definitely not against helping homelessness, but I think there are other ways to deal with this without putting the residents at more risk already. I hope that the City Council can explore alternative solutions and we can work towards a better solution for all.

I am a resident of Rose Lane. I don’t want my living environment to be affected. I usually see many homeless and drunk people passing by the southern cross train station, which poses a lot of safety risks, and there are also many little bourke st. The construction of a homeless shelter near Roselane will cause more trouble and impact to nearby residents.

I'm signing because I worried about the safety of the homeless shelter near area. Especially every time when I get home at late night, I’ll need to pass through the alley near it.

For a safe and good value visit to Melbourne CBD. Suggest to have this happen at somewhere not so busy and less valuable.

It will cause more problems, the city will be full of drugs, drunk people and crimes, it doesn’t help for the environment and employment and will destroy the whole city

I believe there isn't any study done that guarantees my life's safety once the vaccine is in my immune system or what effects it has to my health on a long term bases. I feel a study needs to be done and published publicly for people to know and understand what the vaccine does once it's in ones system or if it posses any potential threats to one's health and well being then decide if it's the proper solution the Covid pandemic I also feel other.Current incidents where people are loosing lives after vaccinating should be investigated medically as well instead of getting read of the bodies immediately.

We support this initiative. We believe they need a home. But why build in a premium area like the CBD and not in a suburb? Do they need to stay in the CBD? We paid premium price and take loans for a home here. What reputation would it affect the Residents and businesses here if overrun by homeless junkies social gathering in one place. I am concern as a potential resident here and friends visiting from abroad.

My apartment in here and we have done so much to put extra security and everything else to make our neighbourhood safe. I DO NOT WANT HOMELESS PEOPLE AND DRUGGIES AROUND ME ESPECIALLY WHEN IT DOESNT MAKE ME FEEL SAFE TO GO HOME.

A place with high population concentration should not be a made for a room, the government should consider about the Dockland.

This is insane for safety of family n tourism in cbd

I am signing because this plan didn't consider the resident near the shelter. I am the resident of 33 ROSE LANE before the shelter was built my locker in the parking lot was illegally broken by homeless two times and I lose some small things lock in the locker.

I am the owner and resident of west side place. This is something wrong with council without speaking to residents, owners, businesses.
And I am totally disagree this decision. This has to been make our place unsafe. This is bull shit if the council ignore our voice.
What difference of the council and communist?

Martin Leung (Melbourne , 2021-07-10)

#514

We’re the own as well as a resident living next to. Highly objectionable to this shelter! There’s no any inquiries for the owner around!

Charlotte Wong (3000, 2021-07-10)

I am living around there, I don’t wanna be sleep and hanging out with threatening !!!

Bowen Shen (Melbourne , 2021-07-10)

#539

I am signing this as I am a resident of upper West side and I agree that building a homeless shelter will not be a good idea and that the city of Melbourne did not consult the residents

Vincent Ho (Melbourne, 2021-07-10)

#540

Residents are already working hard to clean up our neighbourhood, remove the junkies and drunkards, making it safe for people to live in. There will be no point in doing this if they are to be brought from King St and Flinders St Station to our front doorstep, devaluing our property, ruining our little laneway and rendering it unsafe!

Tony Jin (Melbournr, 2021-07-10)

We, tax residents in Melbourne CBD, should at least be collected opinions about this activity, not straight away informed by a useless paper mail! This is our money, our neighbourhood, our living environment, our safety, and OUR VOICE MATTERS!

Min Tan (Melbourne , 2021-07-10)

#545

I'm signing because the homeless shelter will significantly affect the security of the community

Xiaoyang Wu (Melbourne, 2021-07-10)

There are other places that would be more suitable for a homeless shelter. A location that is not filled with thousands of residents. Please consider relocating.

Neville Siegler (Melbourne, 2021-07-10)

It's not fair for the residents of rose lane,it is well known that there are plenty of high rise apartments on the Rose lane.Once the homeless people come,it will become unpredictable dang.
