As Ekurhuleni rate payers it is our right to demand a working infrastructure. Part of that paid for infrastructure, irrespective of the stance of the appointed officials, is the street lights. They are called lights because that os there purpose, to light up the suburb to contain crime in the area.
Neglect to maintain and repair them as breakages happen will let it deteriorate beyond repair and into total destruction. Maintaining paid for and installed infrastructure is not a choice it is a n necessity. Advancement in life is dependent on growth and growth is build onto, expansion of existing, it is not replacement due to neglect.
