It's great music venue

Helena Cole (Orsett Essex UK, 2020-03-11)

#405

Used this iconic venue back in the 70's, saw some of the great bands there at affordable prices. Virtually ALL of the music venues have now disappeared, it's about time someone stood up and said enough to stop the continuing rot !

Dave Pearcey (Brentwood, 2020-03-11)

#406

I love this pub. I love listening to live band and this pub has so much history. This is where all ages, groups or even individuals can gather to enjoy there love of music x

Denise Morrison (Essex, 2020-03-11)

#408

It's probably the only place that combines your traditional local pub, with a venue for live music etc. Especially as there's no where else in dagenham like it.

Sandra Gore (Dagenham, 2020-03-11)

#410

Legendary music venue and providing a much needed and valued service as an entertainment facility, serving not just locals but a wider audience at a time when too many such venues have been lost for ever

Chris Gillen (Dagenham, 2020-03-11)

#413

There are too many music venues closing down. These are part of our community and should remain open. They cater for all age groups and are good social meeting places for music lovers.

Karen Lawlor O'Connor (Dagenham Essex, 2020-03-11)

Patricia Cronin (London , 2020-03-11)

#419

It has a great history and been serving the community for over 50 years. I have fond memories of seeing bands like Hawkwind, Babe Ruth and Golden Earring there. The future of this great pub should be assured in order to help create those memories for todays and future generations.

Peter Chapman (Dagenham, 2020-03-11)

John Glynn (Romford , 2020-03-11)

#445

The Roundhouse is a historic and iconic music venue and long may it continue. A very important landmark for the borough .

Deborah Browne (Barking, 2020-03-11)

#446

I used to go to watch live bands at the roundhouse in the 70's. What a Great venue and I saw many up and coming bands. Hope it can continue to thrive and show new and existing talent.

Michael Franklin (Brentwood, 2020-03-11)

#448

It’s a local community pub and removing it would take a huge chunk of leisure, boxing , music away from this community

Carole Johnson (London , 2020-03-11)

#449

I like the roundhouse and all the entertainment

CHel Trimmer (Romford, 2020-03-11)

#458

I’m signing because this venue is a beautiful building at the heart of Dagenham and has many memories for many people that have used the building not just for music venues but for charity fundraisers and even weddings. This venue holds a special place in many peoples hearts and would be a shame to lose such a wonderful building.

Claire Roberts (Romford, 2020-03-12)

#460

I’m originally from Dagenham, this pub is a great piece of history for East London, which has already lost too many historic pubs. Many of my family and friends came from all over to see bands play there, bands that went on to play enormous venues still remember their start at The Roundhouse.

John Blythe (Brisbane, 2020-03-12)

#461

I believe this is one of the last large live venues in the area, extending way beyond East London. It has historically hosted internationally acclaimed bands and strives to continue to host bands that reflect that history. However, the large venue also provides opportunity for sporting events such as boxing and darts.
I believe the council helped promote the Roundhouse when it returned to a live venue, and I hope it continues to support the Roundhouse in all its ventures.

Pete Lacey (Hornchurch, 2020-03-12)

#462

This has always been and still is a great venue for bands. Sadly too many music venues have been lost, please don't lose this one. Ty

angie sokolowska (Westcliff-On-Sea, 2020-03-12)

#467

This building with its history should be heritage listed, it has seen the birth of many bands, some that have become international names this building has been a stepping stone for their careers
Music and its culture are embedded in its walls too many icons in this land have been lost in the name of progress.
Would Liverpool turn its cavern club into block of flats?
Would the Glaswegian’s turn King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut into a car park?
Nor should Dagenham loose its Roundhouse

Peter Wilkinson (Sydney, 2020-03-12)

#469

So many great historic bands have played here including the fact that’s it’s still a great music venue that should be saved! The Roundhouse has a history that goes back to 1969 with live music by bands such as the great Pink Floyd, Genesis, Led Zeppelin, Queen, Stray, Uriah Heep and Deep Purple, it’s a National Treasure and should be saved!

Deano Matthias (Southampton , 2020-03-12)

#472

With top stars
My dads fave place and heart of the community

Marie Deane (Essrx, 2020-03-12)

#473

Chris Miskin (Oxford, 2020-03-12)

#475

The put is history of the area and needs to be saved it was there long before the houses and if the people don't like it they should not have moved there they can move on

Sammy Bowerman (London, 2020-03-12)

Kerry Smith (Dagenham , 2020-03-12)

#483

It is a great venue that offers a great night out. I live on lodge avenue & am proud of the history of the place & the good work they continue to do. We need to save these old music venues, we’ve lost too many already.

Carole Foley (Dagenham , 2020-03-12)

#484

The venue has long been a place where British musicians, groups have learned their trade giving local people the chance for affordable entertainment,
I attended many times both as a local resident & as a press & magazine photographer.
It would be a nearsighted & shameful act if it was unable to continue.
It surely needs council funding for the arts?

Paul Atkinson (Melbourn, 2020-03-12)

#485

Keep the live music going. This place is amazing and part of Rock n roll history

Julie Hampton (Milton Keynes , 2020-03-12)

#486

The Roundhouse is one of the last remaining music venues/pubs left in the greater London area. Gradually one by one some of our greatest venues have been closed down and then finally sold to make way for more expensive flats to house non local people. Although I no longer live in the area I regularly travel up to the Roundhouse to see the different bands playing there. This place has such a lot of history do not destroy yet another great venue.

Lesley Haines (Essex, 2020-03-12)

#487

The roundhouse is the home of live music, many of the great names in music, have played here, and it still is a hub for music today. It’s part of the community here, and people come far and wide to support it.

Too much of old Dagenham is disappearing for the worst.
People who don’t actually live here in Dagenham shouldn’t be allowed to decide Dagenham future or look.

Stephen Jackson (London, 2020-03-12)

#525

Because its an amazing pub with a great atmosphere and it also has the rock and roll nights I go to with my nan and cousin so I love the pub

Adam Jacob (Halesworth, 2020-03-12)

#528

I am not a regular as disabled and on a lot of medications but was there last Saturday for a Ladies night something I have attended a few times with a group of girlfriends and tribute nights, I was a barmaid and worked in many Dagenham Pubs that are now closed the Roundhouse is in my opinion the best and most traditional pub left in the area I know a few older gentlemen that have drunk there for many years and still do, this pub should be saved as is part of Our Heritage and there is very little of this left in the area to enjoy anymore!!

Michele Robertson (Dagenham ESSEX , 2020-03-12)
