We have our special pets for security, do not go where you are not invited and let guard dogs do what they are trained to do.

(BUSHLAND BEACH, 2017-09-13)

#5605

People have dogs in their yards for protection from intruders. If an intruder comes into a yard with a dog, they should expect to get bitten and they deserve to get bitten. Give the family protector back and protect the rights of indivduals to live in security in their own homes.

(melbourne, 2017-09-13)

#5606

Free Winston, give him back to his family

(Yeppoon, 2017-09-13)

#5607

The dog was only protecting its property, the intruder should not have been there. The poor dog shouldn't be punished

(Northam , 2017-09-13)

#5609

A dog guarding a property has the right to defend the owners property why was the criminal on the property at midnight anyway?, selling cookies or amway? bullshit council! If the dog was wondering the streets and bit someone fair enough but when in it's own yard killing the dog for doing it's job is wrong, shame on you council putting the criminal above common sense.

(Nambour, 2017-09-13)

#5612

Because it's bullshit- no dog deserves to die!! They are protective of there family and every dog is like that!!
JUSTICE FOR WINNIE

(Brisbane, 2017-09-13)

#5614

I believe there is a massive injustice to kill a famly dog when an intruder gets let off.

(Doreen , 2017-09-13)

#5615

Killing a family pet on the basis of heresay is not acceptable.
Killing a family pet that acts to protect the homes inhabitants against an intruder is not acceptable.

(Childers, 2017-09-13)

#5616

Please don't kill wiston he is a beautiful fur baby

(Sydney , 2017-09-13)

#5618

No proof of wrong doing by dog...
Innocent until proven guilty...
Dog in own yard well intruder is in wrong not dog...
Wake up council and get off your high horse you bloody idiots...

(Cardwell , 2017-09-13)

#5619

It would be so unfair.

(Townsville, 2017-09-13)

#5621

Winston is INNOCENT!

(Currimundi, 2017-09-13)

#5622

This is wrong on so many levels I'm ashamed to live in mackay

(Mackay, 2017-09-13)

#5626

Please help this dog protecting his home and family from an intruder.. What a wonderful dog. Help him please.

(Brisbane, 2017-09-13)

#5627

This is a beautiful family dog which did what he was suppose to do and protect his home and family.

(O connell nsw, 2017-09-13)

#5628

This is ridiculous if they were on private property without permission then their intentions were obviously to cause mischief. The dog was protecting its owners property and deserves to be back with them. Council DO the right thing !!

(Mackay, 2017-09-13)

#5629

You don't kill a pet for protecting its property and /or its owners

(Jindabyne, 2017-09-13)

#5631

The intruder entered private property n dog was merely protecting

(Sydney , 2017-09-13)

#5632

This dog should not be harmed without proof provided and if it did anything, it was protecting its family while they slept.

(Mackay, 2017-09-13)

#5633

Biting an Intruder IS Doggie Business.......Is it NOT....??

(Brisbane , 2017-09-13)

#5635

Winston did nothing wrong!! This is ridiculous!!

(Hackham , 2017-09-13)

#5636

Poor Winston, he was only protecting his family and belongings - that ba***** should not have been in their yard. Don't penalise this family and give them back their much loved fur baby.

(Cannonvale, 2017-09-13)

#5637

Winston was protecting his property and family just as he is supposed to do. The intruder should be put down or at the very least charged with trespassing on private property (probably with intent to steal). And the council should have to provide proof to justify their actions.

(Ayr, 2017-09-13)

#5639

He simply defended his home like any human would

(Mackay, 2017-09-13)

#5641

Animals protect their families!!

(Clermont, 2017-09-13)

#5643

I think it's wrong that a animal protecting his family is classed as deadly

(Gunnedah, 2017-09-13)

#5645

Not all dogs are bad despite their breed

(Rockhampton, 2017-09-13)

#5646

We have a right to protect our selves, a dog has protected his family. Sounds like the man was intruding on private property and therefore the dog has done no wrong. Sentence the intruder!!!! He was in the wrong, for one trespassing! Danger, danger

(Biboohra, 2017-09-13)

#5647

He was protecting his family from intruder. Why should the intruder have rights to go into someone's house univited in the middle of the night for no consequences and the family can't defend themselves?

(Northam, 2017-09-13)

#5648

This is totally unfair and needs to be stopped.

(Crediton Qld, 2017-09-13)

#5649

save this dog

(Brisbane, 2017-09-13)

#5652

its not the dogs fault!

(mackay, 2017-09-13)

#5653

No one should be able to walk on to someone else's property in the middle of the night, what was this person doing? The dog was protecting it's family, dogs have better senses in situations then we as humans do and if the dog has no past history of violence then how can you say it's dangerous. We let murders and sexual molesters back on the streets.... but a dog bite ... what is this world coming too clearly our laws are all sorts of messed up!

(fonthill, 2017-09-13)

#5654

Dog is not at fault.

(brisbane, 2017-09-13)

#5656

winston does not deserve this

(Adelaide , 2017-09-13)

#5659

Protecting your property is not against the law. If the intruder had not been on the property he would not have been bitten. Simple.

(Brisbane , 2017-09-13)

#5660

I believe he had every right to do what he did

(Mackay, 2017-09-13)

#5663

I hope you can get your dog released. It's such a shame you are being victimised just because your dog was protecting your family and property.

(Ipswich, 2017-09-13)

#5668

Help get Winston home where he belongs.....our pets are not even safe on there own property that is just not on.....so someone breaking into our homes gets all the protection and pur pets just protecting there home and family have no rights....this has got to stop the perpetrators have all the rights these days....FREE WINSTON...

(Picton , 2017-09-13)

#5670

Disgusting what they are doing. Some people don't deserve rights. Animals need people to be advocates for them and be their voice!

(Killarney , 2017-09-13)

#5671

This is absolutely ridiculous. The people should not of been on this property in the middle of the night around other peoples cars, of course the dog felt it needed to protect it's owners and home.

(Traralgon, 2017-09-13)

#5672

Council have wrongfully taken this dog without the proper proof or protocols! Money hungry bunch

(Mackay, 2017-09-13)

#5674

Dogs protect their pack, that's what they do!!! This person was trespassing! So wrong

(Darwin, 2017-09-13)

#5679

its the intruders fault!! not the dogs!

(frankston, 2017-09-13)

#5680

This is wrong in so many ways the dog protects it's owners property and it's family

(Townsville , 2017-09-13)

#5682

A family dog will guard his home and family by their very nature.. It is disgusting that a family pet would lose its life for doing just that.. What would have happened to that family if the dog hadn't protected them? The dog deserves hero status, not murder. Councils should not take the word of a criminal/invader. There should be three reports before action is taken, the same as police for traffic incidents, As only one report could be only vexatious.

(Oakiville, 2017-09-13)

#5683

Its WRONG

(Dalby , 2017-09-13)

#5685

Winston was protecring his owner.
Good boy Winston!

(Lorne , 2017-09-13)

#5686

If this dog was dangerous then why hasn't he posed a threat to the kids? The myth that is being followed here is that pit bulls are dangerous to kids but clearly that isn't the case and so the entire argument is invalid.

(Brisbane, 2017-09-13)

#5689

This is ridiculous. What right did that person have to be is someone else's home without being invited??????? Give this dog back to his family immediately!!!

(Salamander Bay, 2017-09-13)

#5694

To prosecute/fine this owner and to take and destroy his dog without proof is wrong, the council appears to have acted outside of basic legal and moral principals.

(Toowoomba, 2017-09-13)

#5696

I should want my dogs to bite ANYONE who enters MY PROPERTY in the dead of night without my permission! How dare the council even listen to a complaint from an intruder, let alone act on it. Dogs will always protect their homes and owners- please do not take this dog who was just doing his job.

(Adelside, 2017-09-13)

#5699

I'm signing this because letting this happen means anyone can break into someone home and get away with it just because their dog defended his/her home by biting the intruder. This family obviously has young children and to be honest I feel like one of the reasons this family got a dog is to protect their home and children from intruders that have the intent of hurting or stealing from them! I think this dog was doing his job as a protector! And the guy that broke into the yard should be fined for making that dog have to go in defence mode and bite! The intruder would have had to know there was a dog in the yard because dogs bark when there hear strangers or other things through the night/day.

(Redbank plains , 2017-09-13)

#5701

I believe this beautiful dog deserves to be back with his family. He did nothing wrong.

(Ipswich, 2017-09-13)

#5704

A dog should be able to defend his yard and owner. Don't enter someone's yard without permission and you wouldn't have a problem

(Hervey bay, 2017-09-13)

#5705

This dog is not dangerous he was protecting his family.

(Brisbane , 2017-09-13)

#5706

This is wrong. They have come into a property that is being protected by this dog. And the person knew well he was trespassing the turn around because the dog bit him and try to say the dog is dangerous. Ssriously snap the f....out of it. And stop being corrupt with this crap. The dog did nothing wrong.

(Ipswich, 2017-09-13)

#5707

Winston was only doing his job protecting his family from an intruder? Why is he going to be euthanised? Our laws really stink! Let him go home to his beloved family!

(Goondiwindi, 2017-09-13)

#5708

An intruder is just that, an unwelcome person with bad intentions, we should have the right to defend out property, with and without a dog. Shame on the council

(Calliope, 2017-09-13)

#5711

This dog has been wrongly sentenced to death!

(Hervey bay , 2017-09-13)

#5712

An intruder should ALWAYS face the consequences of their knowing actions including a bite from a dog, cat bird or any other pet protecting their family and property!!!

(Cairns , 2017-09-13)

#5713

I'm signing this because the dog was protecting his owners from an intruder, he deserves more respect and love for looking after his family!

(Townsville, 2017-09-13)

#5715

this dog is a beautiful family pet and should not be put down because of someone else's wrong doing...please MRC show some compassion

(Crestmead, 2017-09-13)

#5717

I would never ever want to see my dogs go through this.
And what the dog did was defend his home, take the person who broke in to jail!, not the dog!
❤️ FREE WINSTON!

(Proserpine , 2017-09-13)

#5720

Winston did nothing wrong except protect his property. The intruder had no right to be on the property and was there for a criminal purpose and Winston knew that and acted appropriately. If the intruder was bitten by Winston which I don't believe then more likely than not he would have contributed to the attack himself by behaving menacingly towards Winston. Free Winston and seize and lock up the intruder.

(Adelaide, 2017-09-13)

#5722

I love dogs

(clifton, 2017-09-13)

#5723

This needs to be investigated for the sake of the dog,,,,,,,,,,,truth is needed,

(EVANSTON, 2017-09-13)

#5726

I dont see it as a threat

(Mackay, 2017-09-13)

#5727

The reputation and rouge disposition that local council's have at this moment, does NOT constitute the authority to play God! Despite a council indicating that seeking legal intervention could alter the outcome. Animals have just as much of a right to live along with us on the same planet! The only way to clean up this contitutional breach of authority that Councils are displaying, is to loby your LMP for The Amalgamation Of ALL local councils to help Rid this CONSTITUTIONAL CRIME and start making the Federal Government responsible for their actions. Cuncils need to do what their payed to bu the community - Collect Garbage, Keep the Streets Clean, Repair OUR Roads!

(Penrith, 2017-09-13)

#5731

A dog should not be put down for biting when somebody broke into his/Her domaine. How about australia

(Melbourne , 2017-09-13)

#5733

Further investigation by council and police for trespass offenses must be investigated thoroughly before family loses a precious member!!

(Adelaide, 2017-09-13)

#5735

This dog's life should not be ended because of the stupidity of someone else's choice to enter a property that does not belong to them. This dog was protecting its family!!!! How low for the council for protecting the wrongful actions of someone else.

(Buderim , 2017-09-13)

#5737

This is unfair and this law is just wrong. This dog was in its own yard and the intruder shouldn't have been there. If we can't be safe and our animals protected there needs to be a change. Fairness and decency should be a major consideration as well

(Warwick, 2017-09-13)

#5738

I don't believe a dog defending its property from an intruder should be deemed dangerous.

(Glass house mtns , 2017-09-13)

#5739

Why should Winston lose his life for doing his job and protecting what he loves, seriously if anything the intruder needs to be put away. Council sort your selves out and have a heart.

(Cootharaba , 2017-09-13)

#5740

This dog was protecting his yard

(Townsville , 2017-09-13)

#5750

I believe the dog was doing its job why are people aloud two just walk into someone's yard that's wrong!!! They got what they deserved what happens if the people was steeling or going two hurt someone the dog did a great job protecting its yard and house and family!!!

(Macaky , 2017-09-13)

#5751

This animal was on its own property protecting its human family and supposedly bit an intruder. He is a family pet and is not a dangerous dog

(Gaven, 2017-09-13)

#5753

I honestly don't believe Winston should be punished for protecting his property. The intruder should take responsibility for his action, he was in the wrong

(Sydney , 2017-09-13)

#5755

The people wanting Winston killed are a disgrace to humanity....

(Smeaton, 2017-09-13)

#5756

A dog should be able to protect its family in their yard

(Ayr, 2017-09-13)

#5757

Pets are family

(Adelaide , 2017-09-13)

#5758

I'm signing because the person shouldn't of been on the dog owners property, a dog is doing what it's natural instinct is when it's midnight and someone's trying to break in.

(Hervey Bay, 2017-09-13)

#5761

I think it's absolutely disgusting that this is even happening to this dog and his owners!! The man was trespassing.

(Mackay , 2017-09-13)

#5765

It's not right! You can't put an animal down for this you monsters!

(Hervey Bay, 2017-09-13)

#5768

How dare they sieze a dog protecting its family and children from trespassers. Its the break and enter person who should be punished not the dog

(Gympie, 2017-09-13)

#5770

Im sick of thieves breaking in n getting away with it while the animals aka pet dogs are suffering the consequences like getting put down while there protecting there yard n doing there job an protecting there owner's

(Cannonvale, 2017-09-13)

#5772

No pet should die protecting its family the intruder should be punished, why are we always punishing the victims!

(Shepparton, 2017-09-13)

#5773

How bloody stupid - you can't kill a dog for protecting his home and family against a criminal- he should be getting a bloody medal !!!!! Wake up you stupid people!!!!

(Wilberforce , 2017-09-13)

#5776

I am a dog lover & I dont see what the dog did wrong. It was protecting his families home from an intruder.
The intruder got what he deserved as they were the one breaking the law

(Rockhampton, 2017-09-13)

#5777

This is just not fair an intruder enters your property to protect you and the house
The dog has no voice I'm his voice let him go back to his family

(Queensland , 2017-09-13)

#5779

Dogs bite when protecting their families, this dog does not deserve to die.

(Cairns, 2017-09-13)

#5782

If someone comes onto your property uninvited in the middle of the night then you and your dog have a right to defend it. Someone entering someone's else's property at that time of night is not doing anything legal. This dog should be returned along with any paid fines as it was simply protecting its family.

(Brisbane, 2017-09-13)

#5788

Dogs protect their family and that's what this dog was doing***** u council for fine theses guys ... that bloke shouldn't have been trespassing in the first place. I'm sick off all the crime going on around here and now we can't even have a guard dog. right so we know what's go na happen to the next person who trespassers don't we

(Queensland , 2017-09-13)

#5792

i think the evidence to destroy this dog hasn't been proven. I own a stuffy and he is the friendliest dog going. Maybe more proof needed to prove this is a dangerous dog

(Killarney , 2017-09-13)

#5795

Its wrong

(Adeliade, 2017-09-13)

#5797

This is so wrong to take a life of a dog who is lrotecting what ishis just like any human would.

(Grafton, 2017-09-13)

#5798

Winston was doing his job. Praying for you buddy ❤️

(Kalgoorlie, 2017-09-13)
