Winston did nothing wrong he was protecting his family and in my eyes he is a good dog

(Mackay , 2017-09-13)

#4608

Put the intruder down!. Not the poor dog whose clearly only doing his job!!

(Warwick, 2017-09-13)

#4609

This is beyond ridiculous..A dog performing it's duty and it is going to be killed??
How is it possible an intruder on someones property, can have more rights than the home owners pet that will naturally protect it's family?

(BURLEIGH WATERS, 2017-09-13)

#4613

Winston did the right thing. Protected his family and his home!

(Nambour, 2017-09-13)

#4615

This is completely unjust. Save Winston!

(Marrickville, 2017-09-13)

#4618

The dog was doing its job they have no right to kill him! So f***ing wrong

(Ipswich , 2017-09-13)

#4623

if he bit a intruder he was only protecting his family in their own house intruder is in the wrong for entering his property

(russell island 4184, 2017-09-13)

#4624

THis is unjust as everybody deserves to protect their home, including the pets

(Kewarra Beach, 2017-09-13)

#4626

I'm signing this because I don't believe Winson is a dangerous dog he was just protecting his yard and his family from the danger of a person coming in during the night. He doesn't deserve to be put down just because he was protecting his yard and his family.

(Townsville , 2017-09-13)

#4627

He deserves to live he was just doing his job poor darling

(Townsville, 2017-09-13)

#4628

Saving animals is worth the signature

(Brisbane , 2017-09-13)

#4631

Give winston back!

(Eton, 2017-09-13)

#4632

Winston was doing hisjob on his own property ;the council has it wrong the intruder should be jailed Save Winston

(kuluin, 2017-09-13)

#4636

This is a complete joke if someone comes into your yard without you knowing late at night its there own fault for getting bitten the dog was just looking after its house and family

(Mackay, 2017-09-13)

#4637

This is a rediculous and cruel punishment for a dog who was only trying to prevent an intruder into the yard.

(Brisbane , 2017-09-13)

#4638

Winston shouldn't have to be punished for protecting his family/owner.

(Mackay, 2017-09-13)

#4641

As a dog owner I find this to be absolutely ridiculously, how could the council be so cruel and irresponsible? This dog was doing what most dogs (big or small) would do to protect their owner. Answer me this question! If someone now breaks into my house and attacks me and my family am I suppose to lock my dogs in a room so they can't protect me so they don't get put down. Your basically taking all rights of the house owner away to protect themselves and protecting the intruder instead, how is this fair? The intruder entered a private property, I can't believe this is even a petition!

(Perth, 2017-09-13)

#4645

A dog should protect family from intruder - punish intruder not the victims or this much loved pet for doing his job

(Mackay, 2017-09-13)

#4646

He was doing his job. Family dogs are known for their loyality (not like us) and are protective, and if an unknown person invades our home, ignores the first warning growl - then they get what they deserve. He deserves a medal, not a bullet!

(Townsville, 2017-09-13)

#4648

Winston was only trying to protect his owners. This is madness to declare him dangerous.

(Townsville, 2017-09-13)

#4651

He was trying to protect his family, he shouldn't be put down for this, he should be awarded. Who knows what would have happened if the lil pupper didn't do anything

(Traralgon , 2017-09-13)

#4658

This is a family pet. The 'intruder' had no right being there. Did the council not ask what time and why this person entered the home owners property. Makes me so angry

(Mount Isa, 2017-09-13)

#4659

Because dogs are territorial and if someone is trespassing they get what they deserve. And if that dog didn't do its job, what would have happend to the kids and their family. Leave the dog alone, punish the trespasser!

(Swan hill, 2017-09-13)

#4661

I'm a bit sick and tired of seeing this backwards shit time and time again. The dog should be getting a medal not a death sentence. He was protecting his owners property and at large, his owner. If you want someone to put something down, put down the trespasser. They were not supposed to be there, they broke onto a property and in complete spite, blamed the animal that cannot defend itself against the very twats in the council who are to lazy to do their bloody job. Absolutely pathetic...

(Townsville, 2017-09-13)

#4663

This person was obviously up to no good and now sees fit to play the victim card.

(Balcolyn, 2017-09-13)

#4664

This is so wrong
There has to be a better way to handle this
People can lie and neighbors are not always the best witnesses
No everyone loves dogs
What about the intruders!!! Do they get to live?
Dogs do their job protecting

(GORDONVALE, 2017-09-13)

#4665

I'm signing because it is wrong to kill a dog who is loved by a family for biting an intruder, if the country doesn't kill people for murdering other innocent people then why should you kill an animal for only causing an injury that's not life threatening,

(Townsville , 2017-09-13)

#4666

We have dogs to protect us and our property from intruders. The dog was doing his job. The intruder should be punished not the dog.

(Townsville , 2017-09-13)

#4667

The dog was protecting it home. The intruder deserves to be bitten and worse. Don't blame the dog the intruder shouldn't have been there.

(Yarrahapinni , 2017-09-13)

#4672

because the intruder should not have been in there in the 1st place . the dog was just protecting his yard and his family ! why should he be punished .then intruder should be charged with trespassing shouldnt been in his yard

(tamworth , 2017-09-13)

#4673

He was let out of his yard BY the intruder. The intruder deserved to get bitten. Send Winston home to his family.

(Rockhampton, 2017-09-13)

#4675

The dog was protecting his property, it should not be put down

(Sydney, 2017-09-13)

#4677

Cant put down some families dog with no proof. Also it was on their property in the middle of the night. Guy shouldnt have been there

(Cairns, 2017-09-13)

#4679

This dog deserves to be at home with his family! He protected his yard from an 'intruder' the fact the dog has been seized in the first place is utter rubbish!!! Prosecute the man who was breaking and entering!

(Mackay, 2017-09-13)

#4681

If someone came into my yard in the middle of the night, I would expect there to be some commotion from my dog.

(Moorland, 2017-09-13)

#4683

I'm signing because a trespasser is breaking the law and should not have been in the property.

(HAWKS NEST, 2017-09-13)

#4684

I absolutely agree that winston was doing his duty and protecting his family how absolutely bloodywell ridiculous that an intruder is given better treatment and consideration than the property owners they should have charged him for daring to enter the yard and gave the dog a medal

(Brisbane, 2017-09-13)

#4686

Dogs should not be put down for protecting their property. The dog was doing it's job, maybe ask the intruder why they were there in the middle of the night.

(Mackay, 2017-09-13)

#4687

This dog doesn't look dangerous and if a dog attacked somebody then it needs to be witnessed. This is shocking

(frankston, 2017-09-13)

#4688

A dog should be able to protect his home and family!!

(Brisbane, 2017-09-13)

#4690

Ronald mclean

(Mackay, 2017-09-13)

#4692

He was protecting his family and should not be punished for it.

(East Mackay, 2017-09-13)

#4695

What's the point of having a dog if it's not aloud to protect its family or home. Winston has done nothing wrong, the intruder should be the one punished for trespassing

(Mackay, 2017-09-13)

#4699

Everyone and Everything has a right to protect what is theirs...

(Ayr, 2017-09-13)

#4700

The dog was doing his job of protecting his family

(Mackay, 2017-09-13)

#4701

The person should not have been trespassing in the night.

(Beaconsfield, 2017-09-13)

#4702

This has happened to multiple of my friends pets and it causes great heart ache, those who are hurt from trespassing or reaching over a fence are respsonsible for their own pain, a dog knows no better and it/family shouldn't be punished.

(Brisbane, 2017-09-13)

#4703

He was purely protecting his family. Intrude got what he deserved!

(Wallan, 2017-09-13)

#4704

The dog and its owner have done nothing wrong

(Marian, 2017-09-13)

#4707

Trespassers don't have any rights, they made a decision to do the wrong thing & invade someone's private property.

(Sarina, 2017-09-13)

#4708

No dog deserves to be killed because they were protecting there owners, the person who entered in the yard shouldn't have who knows what the intentions of this person was he could of hurt someone else like this person's children! Good on the dog for protecting them and there precious babies!

(Pointvernon Hervey Bay, 2017-09-13)

#4714

I'm signing this because no one has the right to enter your property without knocking on the front door or notice to to the owner or occurpanse. Your dog was protecting it owner and the person bitten was an intruder.

(Rockhampton , 2017-09-13)

#4716

I feel a dog bitting an intruder on ur property where ur family are is not the wrong thing .that dog is doing what its meant to do.its not like it was roaming the streets biting just anybody.....do not put him down please.

(Wagga wagga nsw, 2017-09-13)

#4717

He was protecting his own property.

( hobart, 2017-09-13)

#4718

If an intruder was to come and break into my home my dog is our protection.

(Glass House Mountains, 2017-09-13)

#4720

U just try & take my dog for attacking an intruder! Hell if my dog didnt kill ya i would! This Mackay Council needs 2 wake the***** up!

(QLD, 2017-09-13)

#4723

He is an innocent pet doing his duty ...guarding and protecting his family..in his yard!!!

(mackay, 2017-09-13)

#4726

I want to free Winston. He doesn't deserve to die from biting an INTRUDER

(The hill, 2017-09-13)

#4727

This dog was protecting its property, from an intruder trespassing on private property!
Criminals have more rights then the victims!

(Mackay , 2017-09-13)

#4728

Everyone should have the right to protect thier property! Including dogs! That is why i own dogs! Nd im sure many others have them for the same reason! U cant punnish someone nd thier pet because some low life couldnt fet away with stealing thier property! How ******* resiculous is this shit.

(Townsville , 2017-09-13)

#4729

He was just protecting his family ..the intruder deserved to be bitten ..thT. An heal the dogs life cannot be saved once killed ...h is a non violent dog any other time ..please have a heart and let him go home to his family

(Adelaide, 2017-09-13)

#4731

Human life and property was being protected by a dog who has a special love for this, family why shoLd,he be killed and why was that person who should not have been on this mans property LET WINSTON LIVE

(Townsville, 2017-09-13)

#4732

Winston isn't a dangerous dog

(Brisbane , 2017-09-13)

#4734

This is a disgrace! A family dog being put down for protecting his family and property! I say NO!

(Beaconsfield , 2017-09-13)

#4739

This man should not have been on the property and Winston was only doing his job, Protecting his Family. The bad people always turn it around to say they were the victim... This is so wrong and the family should get the money back from the Council.... The Good citizens always get the Bum Steer,, SO NOT RIGHT !!!!! The world and its Decisions are just ridiculous

(Golden Square, 2017-09-13)

#4741

If a dog is on their own property and an intruder has been biten, then the dog should be immune from judgement regarding 'bites'
A dog will seek to protect their people, their family and the property quite rightly.
Release Winston back to his family - or forever be judged as killers of a dog, when you could instead show flexibility and leniency.
Think about your own judgement as you WILL be judged killers if you make the wrong choice!

(2204, 2017-09-13)

#4742

Let this dog go home to his family, he was only protecting them.

(North Rothbury , 2017-09-13)

#4744

I hate the fact that a dog that was trying to protect his owner's backyard was taken away to be killed by uncaring, unfeeling individuals who care more about the son of a bitch that was intruding in the middle of the night than the owner's dog. Free the dog NOW.

(Adelaide, 2017-09-13)

#4746

Sound like the dog was doing it's job. The person should not of been in the yard in the first place.

(Mackay, 2017-09-13)

#4751

That's a beautiful dog who did nothing but protect his home!

(Rockhampton, 2017-09-13)

#4752

NO dog protecting its owners property or family should be shot when they bite an intruder! It's completely insane!

(Currimundi, 2017-09-13)

#4754

Im signing because the dog was only protecting his territory from the intruder. The only person who should be punished is the intruder.

(Ipswich, 2017-09-13)

#4755

That poor dog was protecting his home and family from God only knows what. Why are we protecting the criminals? You break into somebody home you deserve everything you get.

(Newtown, 2017-09-13)

#4761

Biting an intruder....so what.

(Basin view, 2017-09-13)

#4762

Whoever put this dog on death row if a idiot he was protecting his family

(Townsvile , 2017-09-13)

#4765

I run Holly's Rescue for Senior Dogs Inc. It is unreasonable to euthanase a dog without investigating the incident. If he nipped an intruder, then he was protecting his family. I would be disgusted if Winston is killed for being a good family dog.

(MAITLAND, 2017-09-13)

#4767

Dogs are protecting us for love & deserve to be understood as the reasons they will attack

(Sydney, 2017-09-13)

#4768

This is absolute bulshit! That dog was doing his job and protecting his family!

(Mackay , 2017-09-13)

#4769

Winston looks like a brilliant dog and in no way what the council considers. He was protecting the family and his house like any good dog should and the council should let him go and then shove their stupid ideas up their ***. Free Winston

(Southport, 2017-09-13)

#4770

This is disgusting, if someone comes onto your property the dogs are potentially trained to defend it, nothing wrong with that?!!! Stay off other people's land!!! Completely unjust!!

(Nanango, 2017-09-13)

#4772

This is disgusting. This dog was protecting his property.
If you break into someone's house you are in the wrong.
Winston was protecting his home and family

(Kirwan, 2017-09-13)

#4774

Any dog on his property, protecting his property should be exempt from any action if they bite and intruder. To the dig he is protecting his owners and his family. Beautiful calm dogs will protect their family. It does not mean they are an aggressive . Please let this dog go. It is also known that criminals will let a dog out it's premises so they can rob a house without the dog barking.

(Burns Beach WA, 2017-09-13)

#4775

This dog was protecting the family from intruders, he should be praised not killed. Please save this dog

(Hervey Bay, 2017-09-13)

#4777

The person was illegally on property Winston was protecting the family

(Mackay, 2017-09-13)

#4778

...I don't believe in euthanasing dogs for protecting their family, especially if there are kids in the family...they are doing what pack animals do...protect on another...

(Sarina, 2017-09-13)

#4781

this dog did the right thing and protected his family, jail the intruder and free the dog.

(Melbourne, 2017-09-13)

#4782

The poor dog was doing his job ,,,

(Perth, 2017-09-13)

#4785

I'm signing because the reason most people have a dog is to stop intruders

(Cannonvale, 2017-09-13)

#4786

So the dog is about to be killed for biting an intruder and council is extorting thousands of dollars in fines out of the owner. What a joke that council is. Whatever happened to the homeowners rights. Apparently protecting property from a midnight incursion is not the dogs job but I'll bet if it was a councillors dog it would be a different story. Stupidity at its finest

(Tumbi Umbi, 2017-09-13)

#4787

The dog is not in the wrong nor are the dog owners

(Bendigo , 2017-09-13)

#4788

This is not right

(Bateau Bay , 2017-09-13)

#4790

This dog has a right to protect his home

(Brisbane, 2017-09-13)

#4791

Noone should be entering private yards in the middle of the night, uninvited. Why do people have dogs in their yards? I think as a deterant. It is in a dog's nature to protect his/her family. This action by council is simply unbelievable.

(Bowen, 2017-09-13)

#4793

Dogs are taught to protect their terrority. Why punish the dog and the family when the dog was doing his job.

(Mackay, 2017-09-13)

#4794

This doggy deserves to live!!!

(Ipswich , 2017-09-13)

#4795

Where is the proof it was this dog, any dog has one form of defense and that is their mouth. Was this man mean to him for him to bite?? did he kick him, get your proof council

(casino, 2017-09-13)

#4796

Winston was doing his job. He was protecting his surroundings and his owners.

(Gordonvale , 2017-09-13)

#4798

as a dog owner if someone came in your yard unwelcomed they deserve to be bitten, Winston was only doing his job & definitely does not deserve to be put down

(townsville, 2017-09-13)

#4799

A death sentence for trying to protect itself and it's family is unfair and cruel.

(Wagga Wagga, 2017-09-13)

#4800

Always been worried about this myself
Someone comes into your yard and your dog pays the price not on

(Cairns , 2017-09-13)
