I am outraged at the way the "advantage" plan was rolled out . Do not expec health benefits to be changed after I started my retirement

Karen Spector (Long Beach, 2022-03-16)

#3803

I feel that retirees should be able to remain in the same medical insurance we have had with no additional costs. We worked all our lives with dedication to students of NYC and were under the impression all would remain for our retirement years.

Victoria LiPuma (Jackson, New Jersey, 2022-03-16)

#3804

I’m surprised you want to appeal! You are a retired officer and we need the Medicare we retired in.

Russ Carmel (New York , 2022-03-16)

#3806

Give your retired workers what was promised to them

Joe Intreglia (Staten Island, 2022-03-16)

I want to keep my traditional Medicare/ GHI Senior care

Michelle Kupfer (Brooklyn, 2022-03-16)

#3809

I am signing this because I served the children of nyc for 30 years and was promised the healthcare that I presently have and I don’t want it changed. I cannot afford it if it is going to cost me close to $200 a month.

Carol Katz (Oceanside, 2022-03-16)

#3813

I am signing because retirees should have the choice to keep there plan, Medicare, without paying extra fees.

Kathleen Powers (New York, 2022-03-16)

I believe we are strength in numbers

Thomas Morgan (Belle Harbor, 2022-03-16)

NYC retirees deserve the Medicare all Americans get at 65.

Jody Barnofsky (Rego Park, 2022-03-16)

#3822

NYC and it’s public sector unions should not lead the way to the privatization of Medicare.

Joel Shufro (Brooklyn, 2022-03-16)

#3825

I and my family have great concern over trying to keep our benefits exactly the way they are that way they are affordable to us

Richard Murphy (Yaphank, 2022-03-16)

#3827

I want my medical benefits protected.

Daniel Mcdonnell (Bellerose, 2022-03-16)

#3829

This abomination needs to stop , the unions have spent most of the last 50 years selling out their unborn . Now they have graduated to selling out their retires because it was easy and did not have to worry about the votes. This is the most disgraceful and egregious action in the history of the city of New York .

Dennis Fitzpatrick (Wimauma, 2022-03-16)

#3830

I need to keep my Medicare insurance the way it was and was promised in retirement.

Paula Ramos (Red Bank, 2022-03-16)

#3831

I am signing because this is a bad plan. No insurance company should decide if someone should have a test, therapy or see a dr.

Mary Ann Fastook (New York, 2022-03-16)

I want to keep my Medicare Senior care and secondary Emblem Health without an increase/ penalty

Wendy Shepard (New York, 2022-03-16)

Mario Bonanno (Ft Meyers. Florida, 2022-03-16)

#3834

My health needs require me to maintain my current medical network and doctors who do not participate in MAP.

Dorothy Crescenzo (Briarcliff Manor , 2022-03-16)

#3835

For 33 years, I worked at a salary far below average with the promise of decent health benefits at retirement. MAP will not allow me they coverage I earned with the doctors I currently use. This is grossly unfair.

Mindy Chermak (Boca Raton, 2022-03-16)

#3836

I am outraged that the city would treat retirees this way.

Adrienne Edelstein (New York, 2022-03-16)

#3837

The proposed MAP plan does not even come close to what the current Medicare/Medigap plan provides. The financial burden to continue the current plan will create 2 tier insurance plan. So many Retirees can not afford to pay and their health will be put at risk. That’s unjust, irresponsible and possibly illegal.

Anne Beehler (Breezy Point New York, 2022-03-16)

#3840

Penison/ Benefits, was the reason I chose my career with the City of New York. We need a Health Care that works for us, not for how much profit they can make by denying us good healthcare.

Beatrice Miranda (Florida , 2022-03-16)

#3842

I do not want the NYC Medicare Advantage health plan. It is an inferior health plan.

Joseph Barbato (The Villages, 2022-03-16)

Karen Rubinstein (Oceanside, 2022-03-16)

#3851

I want to keep the insurance I have always had and do not want to have to pay did it.

maureen vanpelt (Staten Island, 2022-03-16)

#3852

I worked hard for soo many years while raiding three children all because I thought I was providing for my future. To take away what I worked hard for and what we agreed upon is not fair or ethical. New employees can have this coverage you want. Not us. Not fair.

Patricia Flynn (Syosset, 2022-03-16)

Opt-Out

Karen Meltzer (New York, 2022-03-16)

I need to keep my promised retirement health coverage.
I opt out of Medicare advantage.

Francine Rosen (Port Saint Lucie, 2022-03-16)

#3869

When I was hired I was promised the current heslthcare plan retirees recieve. I do not have a voting right with my union so I do not feel the PBA or MLC has the right to negotiate on my behalf.

Edward Hagan (Staten Island, 2022-03-16)

#3871

The proposed Medicare Advantage Plan is unsuitable. It would produce a significant burden on enrollees especially regarding the large number of pre-authorizations for routine, common tests and in-office procedures. Of course, having a company, Anthem Health, run it while being investigated for Fraud by the federal government does not induce confidence either.

Elaine Levin (Queens, 2022-03-16)

#3872

I don't want to be part of the city

jose CHRISTOPHER (Orlando, 2022-03-16)

#3874

Aileen Nevis (Flushing NY, 2022-03-16)

#3875

I worked for the city of New York at low pay because I knew I’d be ok with my health insurance when I retired. I don’t think it’s fair that after all we- NYC retirees have to this city that now they have to fight for what they worked for. Leave my insurance alone. I earned it.

Sonia Agron (New York, 2022-03-16)

#3877

After 34 years of service my health insurance I worked so hard for shouldn’t be at risk

A promise made is a promis kept or we loose faith in democracy.

Francis J DeStefano (Pompano Beach, 2022-03-16)

#3893

City retirees won’t accept inferior health coverage when we have sacrificed our lifetime earning potential in order to keep it! You should be ashamed of the way you treat seniors

Harriet Scheir (Brooklyn, 2022-03-16)

#3895

I’ve reached saturation point with the way the middle class working man and women are getting crushed. I’m disgusted with the level of incompetence of both the former and the current day Mayor, and the complete level of dishonesty and incompetence of our union representatives who persist in failing their memberships. We put our lives on the line and worked our hearts out to earn decent health care benefits in retirement. None of us got rich serving and protecting the citizens of this city! This is so incredibly wrong! It’s amoral!!! Make them deliver on what was promised. Many of us are in hell right now suffering from the life altering and catastrophic side effects of 911!!! I am one of them!!!

Loretta Flynn Murphy (Monroe , 2022-03-16)

#3906

I want to keep my present insurance that was promised to me without change.

Donald Storniolo (Staten Island , 2022-03-16)

#3915

I find it extremely unfair to change to an inferior coverage when I worked for lesser pay to have the security of Medicare and a supplemental. The city owes us this !

Annette Mohon (Bronx, 2022-03-16)

#3916

I want my Medicare. I do not want privatization of my healthcare

Claudia Block (Bayside, 2022-03-16)

#3918

Public Medicare helps those 65 And over, live long , healthy, satisfying lives! Plus, we were all promised we would have no health access worries, as we age, from the first day we signed up to work with the Department of Education and with the United Federation of Teachers!

J Friedman (Rockville Centre , 2022-03-16)

#3921

My husband worked hard for over 30 years at a CUNY college. His salary was never great but we always said the benefits were worth it! Now they are taking back a promised benefit. Private Plans are NOT Medicare. There is a big difference for the Patient and they are sucking Medicare.

Germaine Salsberg (New York, 2022-03-16)

#3924

We will NOT accept jeopardizing out healthcare

Carole Isoldi (Hawley, PA, 2022-03-16)

Continue to give Retirees a choice of our medical plan.

Sharyn Shumel (Port St Lucie, 2022-03-16)

#3934

I moved to Texas last year. All my new doctors offices are unaware of Emblem Health or GHI. With the new plan it will be worse. Also everyone I know in Advantage plans are retsricted to in-network MD's and plans are by area they live in.

rona schwartz (Schertz, texas, 2022-03-16)

#3936

It's unfair to reduce benefits that retirees earned and were promised. The pension system makes changes only for new employees. That's a good precedent and should be followed

Steven Newman (Douglaston,NYC,and Vero Beach,Fl., 2022-03-16)

#3937

I was promised Health Care for life when accepting employment by the City. With that I sacrifice lesser wage increases to keep our health car benefits. Did without weekends with family on holidays. Forced overtime in horrible working conditions without consideration of my well being in dangerous events. No to bait and switch and renege on our health care that was one of the main reasons why accepted that employment in a thankless job.

John Caroccio (Melville, 2022-03-16)

#3938

I think the new health program offered by the city is a bait and switch offering. The City is renegging on the health insurance the offered to us at retirement. It's not fair to change the rules after the fact. The city could have grandfather current retirees and offer the new program to new/future retirees

Elaine Hakim (NYC, 2022-03-16)

#3979

I want the city to end its appeal of the court's ruling.

James Krieger (Wilmington, 2022-03-16)

#3983

I earned my retirement medical coverage, and made my choice when I retired. NYC promised our medical coverage without charges, into retirement and thats why we took the job/pay reduction to work for the city. Do the right thing, do not go forward with any appeal.

Maureen Accardo (Staten Island, 2022-03-16)

#3992

I’m signing this petition to ask the mayor to stop his appeal because I want my traditional Medicare and senior care to remain in place and continue as I was promised for being a dedicated city employee.
