There is already too much traffic for the roads to handle and too many students for the local schools. Improve the infrastructure before adding high density housing.Penny Hidalgo (Dacula, 2023-07-24)
#205
There is already too many people and traffic. The new high school has already caused enough traffic headache in the area. If you add more there will be no way to get anywhere! The roads cannot handle it. There is also more crime around apartments! Our safety is at stake. No more building!!!!!!April Martinez (Buford, 2023-07-24)
#206
Too much traffic and over congested roads and schools in this area. It used to be a nice area. Now over crowded and crime risingMelanie Alonzo (Buford, 2023-07-24)

Unchecked growth with no regard for traffic and infrastructure is bad for the county and its residents. Council needs to stop looking at dollars and think about the long term health of our community.Jason Bone (Dacula, 2023-07-24)
#212
This is not supported to benefit local residents at all!Christina Ganguzza (Dacula, 2023-07-24)

We do not want even more people crammed into this area. It is already overcrowded. Apartments are NOT needed in this area!Brenda Melanson (Buford, 2023-07-24)
#221
The Hamilton Mill area does NOT need a mixed use development. We’re saturated with people and retail, the infrastructure canNOT handle a development like this in the stated area per county zoning application.Mandi Sjostrom (Buford, 2023-07-24)
#223
Area already extremely overcrowded with horrific traffic on 2 lane Sardis Church Road.Patricia Bolden (Buford, 2023-07-24)

Traffic is already bad enoughKoressa VanDermark (Buford , 2023-07-24)
#233
This area is over-congested and the proposed project will cause even more traffic back-ups for left turning traffic to Hamilton Mill Rd from SR 124, which already has back-ups, which, at certain times, extend to over a 1/2 mile on SR 124 coming from SR 324. This project will also exponentially increase the volume of stalled traffic exiting Sardis Church rd to access I-85 and SR 124, which is already problematic. The road infrastructure is totally inadequate.Chris Fitzpatrick (Lawrenceville, 2023-07-24)
#234
There is way Too much traffic and crime in the area that we don’t need.GA Fernandez (Buford, 2023-07-24)
#236
Growth in this area is happening too fast and without the infrastructure to support it. Without public transit we will just be putting more cars/ traffic on the roads. Our schools have been bursting and are finally getting a break w the added high school in the area - we don’t need to max it out in a few years w 700 apart. We don’t want to be like Cobb and Fulton…Sheila Sondak (Dacula, 2023-07-24)
#238
Way too many people already live in this area. Bad enough have to deal with school traffic now add in the extra population trying to get to 85 will be a nightmare.Neda Alahmad (Buford, 2023-07-24)
#239
I have to travel down Sardis Church Road to get to I85 daily for work. Trying to make a left onto Hamilton Mill is hard enough before even the school was built. The road infrastructure will not be able to handle any additional housing or business right there.Laura Ambrose (Buford, 2023-07-24)
#241
No apartments! Stop overburdening our infrastructure, especially our schools. A vote of NO preserves our infrastructure, maintains the safety of our community, and keeps our schools from being overpopulated.MELISSA Murphree (Dacula, 2023-07-24)

I do not want the 700 apartments to be built.Sharon Pampena (Dacula, 2023-07-24)

My kids go to Seckinger and that’s the last thing we need right there.Dena Moore (Buford , 2023-07-24)
#250
Gwinnett Co has already approved more apartments, townhomes, and other rental units than are necessary. We do not have the infrastructure necessary to handle the additional cars in a small area.
Gwinnett needs to look at non rental subdivisions. No more high density is needed or wanted.

I think this would be really bad for our area and the traffic would be unbearable. This would cause way too many issues.Jason Sciavicco (Dacula, 2023-07-24)
#255
Road has already become congested, we don’t need anymore congestion.Ketonya Knaeble (Buford, 2023-07-24)
#256
Overdevelopement leads to overpopulation, increased crime, and traffic delays among other things. We cannot expect developers to know when to stop building, as their primary concern is profit.Monti Jones (Buford , 2023-07-24)
#257
We can’t get out of the neighborhood without waiting several lights as it it.Christy Faloni (Dacula, 2023-07-24)

This new development on Hamilton Mill could cause many issues including overpopulation, traffic, and could impact quality of schools (among other things). This could also result in a trickle-down affect on property value.Darryl Jones (Buford, 2023-07-24)
#263
Traffic is already bad enough.Brenda Bethea (Buford , 2023-07-24)

We have enough traffic in the Hamilton Mill area as it is. I have a teenage driver and it makes me nervous letting him get behind the wheel when the traffic is out of control. On top of that, Seckinger High School was built to help with the overcrowding in Mill Creek. Are we really wanting Seckinger to be at full capacity within a few short years when this is only it's second year open!?Jennifer Kitchen (Buford , 2023-07-24)
#270
I'm against this building plan at this time.Anne Cicconi (Dacula , 2023-07-24)
#272
I oppose building the 700 apartments and 17,000 square feet retail development. The traffic is already horrible without the addition plus all the big commerical buildings already built and the eye sore they are. How can you add that many extra cars and trucks/semis without a traffic study? There needs to be a traffic study for the existing traffic before adding anything extra.Jessica Melcher (Buford, 2023-07-24)
#277
Traffic around Hamilton Mill is already a disaster. It can take us close to a half an hour on bad days just to get to the bridge at 85 coming from Jim Moore and 124. In addition, there is a housing shortage. I’m not opposed to adding housing, but am definitely opposed to 700 apartments and the incredible amount of traffic that will come with it.Amanda Greaver (Dacula, 2023-07-24)
#279
The overcrowded Hamilton Mill area with inadequate infrastructure and serious traffic issues.Theresa Sutton (Dacula, 2023-07-24)
#280
We don’t need apartments at such a already busy road and intersection.Michael McGrath (Buford, 2023-07-24)
#282
I do not agree with building 700 apartments at Sardis church rdJonathan Snipes (Buford, 2023-07-25)
#283
Adding to the congestion of the area is detrimental to county services, emergency services (both care and travel times). You may gain more tax dollars to begin but will run this area into the ground and lose future tax dollars as property values deflate and people leave. Look at Fulton and Dekalb.Mike Beckman (Dacula, 2023-07-25)
#284
We don't want or need more development in this area.Samuel Howard (Buford , 2023-07-25)

Apartments won’t do anything but bring crime and wrong/ different type of peoples.Harlem Watkins (Buford , 2023-07-25)
#286
Traffic in the above mentioned area is already congested. And this is not a walkable area. Actually, not much of Gwinett has been properly planned to be a walk/work/play area.Kay Erl (Buford, 2023-07-25)
#289
Hamilton Mill is overcrowded as it is.Reda Grissom (Buford, 2023-07-25)
#291
The roads can’t handle the traffic now and with more apartments will bring more traffic, crime and drive home values down.Virgil Pearce (Dacula, 2023-07-25)
#292
I live in Duncan Park neighborhood off of Sardis Church Road. I am also a teacher at Ivy Creek Elementary. Ivy Creek is over crowded! We have 15 trailers and there are no plans to rezone or build an addition on to Ivy Creek. There is simply not enough room for more students!Denise Vandament (Buford, 2023-07-25)
#293
The area and schools can't hold this many peopleLauren Cannon (Buford, 2023-07-25)
#294
Our area is already overdeveloped and our roads are incapable of handling the additional volume of traffic. Many of us moved here for a slower pace of life to avoid the level of congestion and population density the project would bring. We already have apartments by 5 corners and more going in by the hospital. Enough is enough STOP ruining northeast GwinnettFrank Pasztor (Hoschton , 2023-07-25)
#296
We don’t need more population in this area.Allan Tucker (Dacula, 2023-07-25)
#298
I sign this petition because this will result in heavier traffic, more accidents, may have more criminal activity, loud noises and there's just not enough adequate space for 700 apartments, plus retail spaces. Hamilton Mill is known to be a family oriented community and that's why it draws so many people to relocate in this area to raise their children in a safe, quiet, well rounded community with local support of the schools and businesses nearby.Jae Rhie (Dacula, 2023-07-25)
#299
The are far too many townhouses and apartments in the area already.Kurt Fullerton (Buford, 2023-07-25)

This area is already completely congested. It takes 10-15 minutes to go through four stoplights in less than a mile now. We don’t need any more development in the area.Stephanie Malley (Dacula, 2023-07-25)
#303
Our area is already over saturated and does not have the infrastructure in place to handle this much traffic added to it. The contractor did not do a traffic study!! We can't handle anymore retail space or a 700 unit apartment complexNatasha Coleman (Buford, 2023-07-25)
#304

#313
Traffic on Hamilton Mill Road and 85 is already congested now! Adding 700 families to this area is absolutely going to create a nightmare! This area cannot be refined for multi family dwellings.Cindy Chingo (Dacula, 2023-07-25)
#317
I do not want more apartments going up in this area. The traffic will be even worse and the schools are already overcrowded. This is a ridiculous idea!Lynette Grimaldi (Dacula, 2023-07-25)

We have a great deal of traffic already. Adding apartments will overburden that area and traffic will become so much worse (especially since the new high school is near that area).Lisa Schrage (Buford, 2023-07-25)
#330
We definitely do not need any apartments and/or anymore retail shops in the Hamilton Mill area. Traffic is horrible now! Also we do not need any apartments or retail stores close to a public school.Linda Zavagnin Halverson (Buford, 2023-07-25)
#331
I live in this area and I have a child that goes to Seckinger High School. This area is already TOO over grown. We do not need more commercial space or apartments. We need more green space.Karen Albritton (Buford, 2023-07-25)
#332
I recently moved to this area of Buford and the traffic is already out of control! The additional housing would most definitely burden our roads, cause additional time to commutes and burden our schools. PLEASE vote NO!!!!Mary Ann Redhage (Buford, 2023-07-25)
#337
I do not want overburdened infrastructure as is proposed in Hamilton Mill.James Dorin (Buford, 2023-07-25)
#338
Traffic is already heavy in and around this area -- plus I moved out here to get away from overcrowding due to excessive development. I neither want nor need this so close to my home.Corey Redhage (Buford, 2023-07-25)
#339
This is poorly thought out and destructive to already overtaxed infrastructureBenjamin Berusch (Dacula , 2023-07-25)
#342
The area is already too crowded. The current schools cannot handle a mass influx of more people as well as the roads and infrastructure are not adequate for adding this much new housing. Current neighborhoods being built cause massive amounts of traffic now. Widening Hamilton Mill would be a nightmare to those of us already living in the community and paying taxes. Apartments will only drop property values that we already pay way too much for in taxes.John Patton (Buford, 2023-07-25)
#346
We already have too much traffic and the roads are not being kept up. Potholes, lack of repaving on major roads. Most schools are overcrowded except Seckinger

This is my family’s home community, and traffic is bad enough as it is. It will become absolutely unbearable if any more buildings/neighborhoods go up! The quality of life in our community will worsen if more and more building projects crop up!Erin Chewning (Buford, 2023-07-25)
#360
I’m signing because the traffic congestion caused by the proposed construction will completely tie up an already terrible area. Exiting off I-85 South at that location will become a nightmare. Same for horrible congestion and unsafe traffic right next to the high school.Ray Kyle (Buford, 2023-07-25)
#363
The Gwinnett county commission continues to allow high density housing while ignoring infrastructure. We do not need apartments in this area, we need new widened roads!Richard Stettner (Hoschton, 2023-07-25)
#366
Fast and loose permitting is creating poor quality of life in the Hamilton Mill area. The area has dirty trashy streets, overgrown vegetation and a lack of style. More homes is not what is needed.Unique boutiques, coffee shops and original restaurants are what would be better. Stop with the cheap shopping and housing.
Crystal Johnson (Hoschton, 2023-07-25)

This area cannot handle the traffic that we currently have. Can’t get in and out of our neighborhood now.Rick Donegan (Buford, 2023-07-26)
#396
I'm signing because there is WAY too much traffic on Hamilton Mill already. It can take 10 minutes or more to get out of subdivision. Also, now that we have a school, there are kids walking and it's extremely dangerous as there are no sidewalks heading all the way to Kroger. There is always a lot of crashes in front of the neighborhood, some fatal. Also cars are running 80-90 mph on Hamilton Mill Rd alreadyShujuana Evans-Grant (Buford, 2023-07-26)

We need to stop overdevelopment everywhere. It is time to stop abusing our landscape and environment. How many more houses, stores, and warehouses does our community and society need? Think forward; don't ruin this for our children. Leave some space for wildlife to live in. This planet is not just for humans. I beg you to make the right decision and not allow any more development in our community. Thank you!Marcela Renwick (Dacula, 2023-07-26)
