Stop the fill of Mast Canal it is affecting our wild life especially our Manatees which are decreasing at alarming rates and the surrounding residents.

Why would you fill in a canal for a car wash. We have enough car washes. I don’t think it’s a good idea. I say no

A 43 year resident here, I know what our water was. Clear, clean, and full of life. What we currently have is totally unacceptable and adding to the problem is not the answer. You must STOP this in the name of our future. Without clean water, abundant life in that water, and beautiful beaches where you can get in clean water, our future is in dire jeopardy. For residents and visitors, for Gods sake, STOP these projects and changes to land use restrictions just for money!! Without our natural resources our future here is dismal. We must begin to reverse the damage already done, not add to it in the name of profit.

Cape Coral was and is venerated as "Paradise."
However, the City Councils and Mayors have done their utmost to turn this area into Miami West with one developmental project after another. We already have enough car washes. This area is fully built up and has done just fine without one more car wash.

A car was is not needed. We need to preserve the wildlife

We need to save the wildlife.

I live a block away and don't agree with the decision to remove part of the canal

I will never condone the filling of a canal with precious wildlife to put an establishment in it's place...

I support this initiative

Cape Coral has enough car washes. Destroying a canal is not worth having another car wash.

For years, this canal has been home and a breeding ground for manatees. Each year, this canal has at least 2-3 new manatee births. Because Mast Canal is a cul-de-sac (not a thru-way) for boaters, it provides great safety and security for these wonderful cows to live and reproduce without being harmed by human/boat contact. In addition, it is an eco-friendly environment to many species of fish (snook, tarpon, catfish, mangrove snapper, sheepshead, bluefish, black drum, crevelle jack, mullet, sting rays, and the occasional manta ray, shark and alligators). FWC should be in involved as they just reported that 1100 manatees died in 2021...the highest count ever in Cape Coral history.

It’s inhumane to the wildlife that will lose their homes for the profit of a car wash

doesn't filling in the canal and destroying the natural habitat go against the Governor's 80 million dollar save the Manatee initiative? This is just crazy silly.

I'm signing because I believe this business is inappropriate for this location. I believe our canals were formed to contribute to our marine life and quality of human life.

Janice Dougherty (Cape Coral, 2022-03-24)

I'm signing because as a frequent guest of a resident on the canal it is a joy to sit and watch for manatees while enjoying the view of the canal. We need to appreciate nature and not disturb it for something as unnecessary as a car wash. Surely there are other locations that would make more sense to build yet another car wash without interfering with the current state of the canal. I will never utilize this car wash if they disturb the canal to build it, but would rather go out of my way to use this car wash in appreciation if they chose to build elsewhere.

We do not want the canal filled in. It is a gulf access canal and should remain that way.

It has to be

We don’t need another car wash at the expense of diminishing other residents property

Do not want to see the wildlife destroyed by a car wash that is completely unnecessary.

I don’t want a noisy smelly dirty riff-raff drug dealing loud car music , loud pressure washers , loud vacuums crap show on the end of my canal … Why fill in the canal when you can find another lot with the asphalt space you need . There is a car wash 50 yards away that has been fenced/boarded up for 3 years , think your fly by night company is gonna do it any better ? … re-zone your company elsewhere… thanks …

To support other homeowners. Tommy's bought the land, not the canal.

I am concern the impact will have on the wildlife in the canal that the chemical used by the proposed car wash. Also, the location is too close to private homes and will diminish the enjoyment for the occupants. There are more than enough car washes in the area.

I live on the Mast Canal and do not want to see it filled in.

I believe we should not be filling in any canals in Cape Coral. We need all the water runoff space we have.

I value our wonderful wildlife, and THEIR waterways. The harm being done to them won’t stop until protection for them is issues for not just the main river, but in ALL our canals; as a homeowner on an intersecting canal, I see many manatees and dolphins, yet no NO WAKE signs posted.
