Comments

#210

Green space, public parks, community gardens and trees are severely lacking in Lusk and should be given a priority in the next development plan. Established existing green spaces should be protected for the future of our community.

Karla Piner (LUSK, 2022-01-26)

#213

There is very little green space being left undeveloped in Lusk and with more and more people residing here, we need green areas for our community.

Brenda Tyrrell (Orlynn Park Lusk, 2022-01-26)

#214

Green space are essential resources for the community and the well being of our children.

Ian Fitzgerald (Dublin, 2022-01-26)

#215

This space is used for the physical health and mental well being of the the whole community especially the kids.

Aodh McGrath (Dublin, 2022-01-26)

#217

This is an essential piece of land to continue as a recreational amenity with so much housing all around it and plenty of other areas nearby for housing.

Audrey Weston (Dublin, 2022-01-26)

#219

The green area in question has always been used as a recreational area for individuals and organisations throughout Lusk. It would be detrimental to the Lusk community to reduce the green area available and this is now even more necessary to retain, due to the significant increase in population and housing in Lusk. I sincerely urge you to plan properly for the future and not react to the present.

Gerard Weston (Dublin, 2022-01-26)

#223

Please leave our green area alone. Enough building already in Lusk

Elaine Crowley (County Dublin, 2022-01-26)

This area is currently used for health and well being purposes in Lusk. People take walks there. Especially a lot of older residents from nearby. People bring their children to play there. People walk and play with dogs there. People have picnics and stop to talk there. People use it for spillover recreational use when there is organised football there.

Lindsay Courtney (Lusk, 2022-01-26)

#248

I believe that there has been enough developments built already without enough sporting and other infrastructure being properly built its only a half hearted effort by fingal Co Council and builders/developers.

Karl Mcconnell (Co Dublin, 2022-01-26)

#250

It has been a well used amenity for over 40 years

Richard Devane (Dublin, 2022-01-26)

Lisa Mc Namara (Lusk, 2022-01-26)

This space has been used by Ollynn Park Residents for the last 40 years. It is also used for tennis, young footballers as it is so safe. Summer time is magic with the play area. FcC should not allow developers again destroy Lusk Village

Adrian Crowley (Lusk dublin, 2022-01-26)

#271

There is so little green space available thatcprovide amenities for local teams. It is also going to present opportunities for accidents for traffic turning off from the bypass road which is not designed to accommodate traffic, housing estates shouldn't be placed on bypass roads. There is a right turn into the newly built racecourse commons Estate and the bypass Road that wasn't built to accommodate it, this will eventually lead to an accident as cars wait to turn right onto a road that wasn't designed to accommodate such manoeuvres. Adding yet another estate to this section of road will lead to potential accidents in the future.

Conor McDermott (Lusk, 2022-01-26)

#275

#285

This Green space has been an open space & used by residents of not only Orlynn Park but all the residents of Lusk.. The "SUGGESTION" of building a development on this area is OUTRAGEOUS......not enough Green Space in Lusk for the amount of Housing that has been built in recent years ..

Barbara Doyle (Orlynn Park, Lusk, Dublin., 2022-01-27)

#286

Zero planning for amenities, we cannot keep building houses before amenities, there is already too much in the pipeline... recipe for serious social issues

Mark Power (Lusk, 2022-01-27)

#296

Our green spaces are so important but more and more are getting rezoned for housing.

Olivia Murphy (Dublin, 2022-01-27)

S Smith (Lusk, 2022-01-27)

Enough is enough with the building. Orlynn Park & Lusk itself has already lost enough of it's green space.

Clara Russell (Lusk, 2022-01-27)

Kenny Rötsch (Lusk, 2022-01-28)

#331

There is not enough greenspace in Lusk. The Orlynn Park green is used for sports activites etc. So, it would not be right to reduce this already limited space.

Ciara Fitzpatrick (Lusk, 2022-01-29)

#335

Lusk is turning into a concrete jungle. Sad to see how much it has changed. Please leave our green spaces alone, we have seen enough housing development.

Claire Daly (Dublin, 2022-01-29)

#358

Already too many houses in a small village with very little facilities.

Yvonne Cannon (Lusk, 2022-01-29)

#361

Lusk has be undersrved by local authorities. The population is already in excess of 10,000 people and will soon be larger than Skerries and Rush. There is still significant building underway in the town. The council has provided very little infrastructure and the lack of green spaces for the community is clear. We need to take a breath and work on supporting this huge population growth and preserving what little space is left inside the town boundaries.

Colin Browne (Lusk, 2022-01-29)

#362

I’m signing because more houses are the last thing Lusk needs.
We need a Community Centre with activities for all. We need a better rail system to accommodate the new houses currently getting built. We need an upgrade on Dublin Road & a new junction at Blake’s Cross.
Then & only then I think you should go ahead & build more houses.

Ann Kane (Co.Dublin, 2022-01-29)

#364

It is vital that this long established green space, which is enjoyed by so many residents of Lusk is retained and protected.

Jean Fitzpatrick (Lusk, 2022-01-29)

#371

I’m signing because the green is where I grew up playing football and I want the future kids to be able to play there too.

Ciana Down (Lusk, 2022-01-29)

#374

Lusk is being raped of all amenity for the sake of denser development. Provide housing for sure, but with amenity and sympathetic to the area

Cormac Smyth (Lusk, 2022-01-29)

#375

I want the green spaces kept in this area.
We have enough loving accommodation for a "village"

Noel Synnott (Dublin, 2022-01-29)

#376

This area of green space is used by children for sports and has for many years been a local residents amenity area. Too little space is being left as open space in new developments.

Sam Mulligan (Lusk, 2022-01-29)

#378

There is far to much development in Lusk and not enough green space for our children and future grandchildren to play.

Myles Doran (Lusk, 2022-01-29)

#382

We need to maintain and keep as many green areas as possible. This is also close to my home and walk across that part all the time.

Noah Gibbons (Dublin, 2022-01-29)

#390

Belinda Sanchez Mateos Murat (Dublin, 2022-01-29)

#393

This is a very important space and needs to be kept. All other spaces are being taken for houses

Sarah Hickey (Lusk, 2022-01-30)

#398

My children play here with their cousins, grandparents, aunties, uncles and friends. It’s been made smaller already. It’s frequently used by sports teams and children in the area. Green space is important for everyone’s wellbeing. Physical health and mental health. You should be increasing them and adding trees/plants not destroying them. There are so many other areas close by that can be built on. This is a well established green area in a residential area. It needs to be maintained

Caitriona Tonge (Skerries, 2022-01-30)

#399

This is one of the last remaining amenity areas in the centre of lusk.
