Too many of our native animals are losing their habitat 🤬🤬🤬😪😪😪😪

Kerry Whitelegg (Mildura, 2021-10-15)

#208

It's so important to keep any wildlife habitat - thanks to Kym for being so active and effective in trying to get Council - and others - to see what really matters.

Ariel Johnson (Elizabeth Beach, 2021-10-15)

#209

We need to preserve what habitat we have left for our local wildlife

Cinny French (Cundletown, 2021-10-15)

#210

Our iconic koala is already endangered, and due to the drought and local fires the area suitable for their habitat has been greatly reduced. Clearing of their habitat must not go ahead, no matter what the previous agreement was. Koalas in our area can only enhance it's attraction.
Surely it is common sense to maintain our natural habitat.
Barbara Lyons.

Barbara Lyons (Rainbow Flat, 2021-10-15)

#212

there are no koalas near our home. It is a privilege to have them, and their surrounds should be protected

Elaine Hume (COPACABANA, 2021-10-15)

#213

I love visiting the area and seeing the wildlife.

Keir Malpas (Bonython, 2021-10-15)

#218

Koalas need to be protected

Glenda Prest (Canberra, 2021-10-15)

#221

I want the koalas to have habitat where they belong and can survive. We keep destroying earth and it
Needs to stop before all beautiful creatures are gone

Lori Gietmann (Media, 2021-10-15)

#224

We need to protect koala!!! Protect their habitat and keep them safe. What don't this Govt understand 🤔

Smith Alison (Warners Bay, 2021-10-15)

#228

Governments at all levels must uphold their commitments to protecting wildlife habitat and in this case koala corridors. Development can’t be allowed to happen at any cost lest the community lose all trust in governments and become cynical about their elected officials.

Shane Manahan (WINGH, 2021-10-15)

#229

Stop developing wildlife corridors

Helen Nutter (Toowoomba, 2021-10-15)

#234

It’s is so unbelievable that a community has to sign a petition to save a small parcel of land which is critical for Koalas and other small native creatures. So much has been logged, chipped, bulldozed and then covered with a density of houses which generally make any native habitat useless. Wake up Australia!!!

Judith Conning (Diamond Beach, 2021-10-15)

#238

This is wrong!

Anne-Marie Abell (BRANDY HILL, 2021-10-15)

#239

I am signing because I care for the welfare of both people and wildlife in the Hallidays Point area, specifically Red Head, and about the functionality of our amazing landscape as an ecosystem.
Thank You! 🌿

Thomas Kunz (Hallidays Point, 2021-10-15)

#243

we are killing off koalas by destroying there habitat... its wrong and shameful just so someone can profit.. leave the corridors alne and save koalas.. teh world will never forget that we are killing them off.. what a sad way to be known....

paul white (nimbin, 2021-10-15)

#245

We need to save our remaining koalas by preserving their habitats.

Jen Ferguson (Taree, 2021-10-15)

#246

If you destroy their habitat, you will destroy our koalas. They are too precious to lose.

Ann Woeller (Bowen, 2021-10-15)

#250

Of all the hard work Hallidays Pt land care team has put into keeping this corridor weed free and very well maintained while keeping fauna friendly.

Kim Gollan (Blackhead, 2021-10-15)

#251

Our precious bushland is not a commodity to be traded
It is a special place to be protected and cherished for all

Sharon Rigby (Sydney, 2021-10-15)

#252

It’s important

Dianne Denton (Diamond beach, 2021-10-15)

#255

After the fires decimated Koala populations, it has became clear this species is under threat & needs to be protected.

Kristy Hayward (Castle Hill, 2021-10-15)

#257

As a retired koala carer I am highly concerned about the habitat loss for these iconic animals.

Megan Karl (Coffs Harbour, 2021-10-15)

#258

The corridor was gazetted as such and maintained previously for ecological reasons. It’s barely adequate as it is. Further diminishment is unconscionable in light of the stated aims of the function of this corridor. Continued fragmentation and degradation of wildlife corridors defeats their purpose.

Michelle Burdekin (Whitebridge, 2021-10-15)

#259

We need to have save koala habitat and not corridors!

Sonja Saveska (Berlin, 2021-10-15)

#260

It's crucial to save all living animals!

MARCY BRANDENBURG (Other, 2021-10-15)

#263

I adore Koalas, especially wild ones. Koalas are world’s treasures. We need to protect them!!!

Atsuko Utsue (Tokyo, 2021-10-15)

#266

I'm signing because we have to protect corridor and habitat koala. Koalas are a heritage unique in the world and we must protect them!!. Koalas lives matter! The world is watching.

Paola Torti (Castelnuovo Scrivia, 2021-10-15)

#267

Blatantly ignoring facts will lead to extinction... is there really a question of what's best to do?

Bon Holmes Nuu (Nelson bay, 2021-10-15)

#268

I am signing because I would like koalas thrive in the future if it's possible.
I am actually realising that we cannot make it. There are the people don't care of Nature. They just think making money. But when we lose the wildlife or the nature, we will not able to live either...think carefully if you can. And you will understand what I meant.

Keiko Murai (Florence, 2021-10-15)

#269

Koalas and other wildlife need corridors and habitat to live and survive

Thor Tahli Koalas (London, 2021-10-15)

#270

The Koalas have already lost too much habitat and have suffered enough …. fire, flood, dogs, cars … this all has to stop

Simone Lippmann (Gevelsberg, 2021-10-15)

#276

Koala colony must be 1st priority, development has to fit in and not destroy. It is so clear to any reasonable person that we have to protect these areas.

David O’Hara (Red Head, 2021-10-15)

#278

It's so important that we stop destroying wildlife habitats.

Emma Briggs (Byron Bay, 2021-10-15)

#280

Koalas are in danger of exctintion by 2050 they have had fires floods droughts wet bottom /chlamydia and loss of habitat due to housing development and loss of corridors all threats to their survival

Trudy Anrep (Tinonee, 2021-10-15)

#285

We are losing Koalas faster than they can multiply.

Pauline Gowing (Johns River, 2021-10-15)

#287

I'm signing because koalas are already struggling with reduced habitat.

Amanda Lee (Balnarring, 2021-10-15)

#290

Koala Habitats are important and must be protected first and for most !!

mary Richard (sydney, 2021-10-16)

#293

Biodiversity is a critical issue in this region which the Council only pays lip service to. Council needs to take seriously conservation of our local fauna and flora

Gillian Courtice (Pacific Palms, 2021-10-16)

#294

There is little left in this community by way of biodiversity and what there is should be preserved at all cost.

Neville Semmler (Diamond Beach, 2021-10-16)

#296

I am disgusted with the continual demolishing of our Koala's habitats.

Ruth Thurling (COOPERABUNG, 2021-10-16)

#298

I strongly appose any interferance to the exisiting koala corridor. All assett protection zones belong on private land and need to be provisioned when initall planning is applied for.

Yvonne Aplin (Red head, 2021-10-16)

#299

I believe that the required easement should have been included in the blocks when the original sub division was approved. The koala corridor was created to save koalas, not be used as a fire break. There are currently koalas in this area.

Brian Geoffrey Aplin (Hallidays point, 2021-10-16)

#300

I'm signing because koalas need protecting.

david gollan (red head, 2021-10-16)

#302

I'm signing because I consider this is another example of MidCoast Council not being up to developed world standards

Phil Power (Red Head, 2021-10-16)

#306

I am signing this petition as I am concerned that koalas in this area will become extinct if habitat is taken away from them.

Janis Radford (Red Heaf, 2021-10-16)

#307

Enough is enough with Council’s tree clearing! Where is the compliance with State Govt. conservation policies & in particular koala habitat protection?

Lesley Harvey (Ettalong Beach, 2021-10-16)

#308

I am signing as I believe the koala corridor is an essential element in the effort to preserving, and conserving the local koala population.

Pamela Gollan (Red Head, 2021-10-16)

#311

Our koalas are way too precious to lose

Hearder Susie (Limpinwood, 2021-10-16)

#313

I lived at Redhead and have contacted Council on numerous occasions regarding the sad state of the littoral rainforest in Redhead reserve, which used to connect to the Koala corridors. I was also informed by Council that Redhead reserve is nota Koala habitat, there is currently a Mother and young Koala in the Reserve and they moves onto the Private Land below the Bombora estate in Seascape.

Robin Billings (Halliday’s Point, 2021-10-16)

#316

I feel wildlife corridors are important in the urban environment, new residents need to accept the environment, and take more responsibility for where they choose to live.

Diane De wright (Diamond Beach, 2021-10-16)

#318

So sick of politicians not ensuring our wildlife are protected. Australia, number one for mammal extinctions is nothing to be proud of!!! Wake up!!

Norris Grant (Torquay, 2021-10-16)

#320

Actions speak louder than words. A Strategy is only as good as it’s implementation!

Jennie Minifie (East Ryde, 2021-10-16)

#321

To Save theses koalas and their habitats.

Angela Cranson (Sydney, 2021-10-16)

#324

Koalas need trees
KOALAS need to be
Protected.

Elisabeth Brunet (Lorris, 2021-10-16)

#327

Koalas are vulnerable and this corridor is so ecologically important for their survival and for the survival of many other local species whose populations were decimated in the recent fires.

Dana Wewer (Diamond beach, 2021-10-16)

#330

Enough of their habitat was destroyed by the fires so they don't need man made destruction as well.

Maureen Smith (Diamond Beach, 2021-10-16)

#337

Absolutely no more habitat loss. The millions of hectares lost in summer 2019/20 means nothing further should be destroyed for very many years. The human population will also not survive otherwise.

Karen O'Clery (Bega, 2021-10-16)

#338

I am signing because we must protect Australia's greatest heritage.

David Lester (South Yarra, 2021-10-16)

#341

I totally support this. Koala corridors desperately needed. Most other wildlife will benefit too. Wildlife must be protected. We need our wildlife alive and flourishing.
Stop the worry for everyone and put realistic protection measures - lije corridors.

Fiona Adin-James (Ballarat, 2021-10-16)

#343

Council would have had the opportunity to require the purchasers of the plots adjoining the koala reserve to include an exclusion zone on their properties, but they didn't. And the owners of these plots decided to build right up to the fence line knowing of the fire risks. So it's now their problem, not the councils any more.

Graham Smith (Red Head, 2021-10-17)

#345

I fully support the efforts to prevent any degradation of the Koala corridor. There is already too much destruction of wild life habitat ongoing and planned in the Mid-coast region.

Iain Campbell (Hallidays Point, 2021-10-17)

#352

I am protesting about the destruction of the natural beauty around Arthurs Seat, and the Koala corridor there where the koalas, and other bush animals and birds live. This must be preserved for these precious animals, not just blown up for a few rocks.

Kaye Berry (Red Hill 3937, 2021-10-17)

#353

Koalas matter. Koalas need all the help available if they are going to survive in this area.

Jenny Short (Rainbow Flat, 2021-10-17)

#355

This area needs to be preserved and protecting our native wildlife is crucial.

Keri Harris (Halliday’s Point, 2021-10-17)

#356

It seems the goal posts have been moved.

Carmel Bartlett (Black Head, 2021-10-17)

#357

This corridor is a critical habitat for koalas. Asset Protection Zones should be located on private lands not lands dedicated for wildlife.

Louise McArdle (2430, 2021-10-17)

#360

If we don’t act quickly, koalas will be extinct in NSW.

Beverley Crossley (Lismore, 2021-10-17)

#363

I do not believe the land should be cleared.

Nikita Luzius (Hallidays Point, 2021-10-17)

#369

I object to any alteration to this wildlife corridor. Council has to respect our wildlife. It’s not all about the almighty dollar. Koalas are at a very risk of extinction within about thirty years.
This is a serious. Council has to think outside the box and work out an alternative plan to the proposed degradation of the koala corridor.

Wendy Leyden (Redhead, 2021-10-17)

#372

Because all is see around me is the rivers filling up with silt from cash grabbing development. Trees cut down. Overpopulation without any planning on how this place will tolerate these bogans that don’t value what we have now. Start planning sustainable development. You will thank me in the 10 years time. Trust me. Make this place unique. Not western Sydney by the sea.
Oh…… koalas??? Remember them. They live there.

Daniel Ilott (Black Head, 2021-10-17)

#375

The koala corridor is already very narrow and the clearing of any area within it is not placing importance on the small natural environment we have left for the future.

Joanna Nelson-Hauer (Red Head, 2021-10-17)

#385

Biodiversity is very important to me and needs very careful management, particularly by MCC.

Lyn Skipper (Red Head, 2021-10-17)

#391

I am signing because our Australian icon needs help. We need to preserves yheir habitat to asure future generations can survive and our grandchildren can see.

Carolyn Risley (Clarence Town, 2021-10-17)

#393

I am very concerned at the proposed loss of the Koala corridor. This area is vital, not only for the local Koala population, but also all the other animals and birds that survive in the understory. This proposal needs to be handled conservatively to ensure the survival of all of our local species that inhabit this area.

Sandra McNamara (Black Head, 2021-10-17)

#394

I don’t want to destroy our beautiful wildlife I want to save them so my grandchildren can see them for real and not just a photo!

Cheryl Holden (Sydney, 2021-10-17)

#395

Taking away more of our bush within our town makes us a bare housing estate not the natural well thought out town where animals, vegetation and people cohabit.

Mignon Robinson Robinson (Diamond Beach, 2021-10-17)

#397

This council is a disgrace nationals are destroying our beautiful town!!!

Caroline Raward (Forster, 2021-10-17)

#399

ITS WRONG

Sarah Finlayson (Failford, 2021-10-17)

#400

Our Koala population is seriously under threat and this habitat will be destroyed by development.

Maurice Cohen (Oyster Bay 2225, 2021-10-17)
