I lost my Mom to Covid. Cases are rising and I want our kids and teachers to be safe until cases are dropping again.

Jamie Appelbaum (Lees Summit, 2021-08-03)

#203

I’m signing because schools should be a safe area for all children. With the Delta varient of Covid on the rise , anything other then requiring masks at all LSR7 schools is putting our children’s health at risk - no longer making it a safe zone!

Melissa Pratt (Lees Summit , MO, 2021-08-03)

#210

Children K-12 and staff and faculty should be safe in schools and not led by political misinformation.

Amy Hankins (Lees Summit, 2021-08-03)

#212

I believe universal masking is the best way (in addition to vaccination) to protect students, teachers, staff, and our community from the Delta variant.

Amy Engel (Lees Summit, 2021-08-03)

I worry that others like my granddaughter who are medically fragile will risk exposure at this time. Thankfully, she will attend the Shawnee Mission School district, which will require masks. I hope Lee's Summit will be equally protective of its students.

Diana Kornfeld (Lee's Summit, 2021-08-03)

I want children and their families safe from this terrible disease! Our family has an person who is Immuno compromised. We don’t know all the families who are in this situation. The mask on our own face doesn’t protect us as much as when others wear a mask. We want kids in school learning but not in school fearing for their lives and the lives of loved ones!

Welcher Sandra (string:LEES SUMMIT, 2021-08-03)

I work in healthcare and have watched the rise in pediatric cases and community spread. We need to mask at school at least until our youngest students can be vaccinated.

Erin Walton (Lee's Summit, 2021-08-03)

I have two children in LSR7 secondary schools. They are fully vaccinated. I still expect all students and staff within LSR7 to be required to either mask or do some form of at-home learning, due to the extreme virulence of the delta variant of Covid-19. The kids will otherwise spread this like wildfire, and there will be numerous disruptions to their education.

Stacey Sharpe (Lees Summit, 2021-08-03)

I am signing because I have three children in the school district, one of whom is not yet eligible for the vaccine. A universal mask mandate is the clear answer to keeping our kids, the staff, and faculty safer in the upcoming school year. The Delta variant is highly contagious, and some children are being hospitalized from it. A mask mandate will result in fewer quarantines, which will keep the children in-person for learning. This is the clear answer to a very concerning problem. Thank you.

Laura Quirk (Lee's Summit, 2021-08-03)

#225

Yes, let’s keep kids and staff safe!

Angela Jenness (Greenwood, 2021-08-03)

#227

The CDC and APA recommend universal masking in K-12 schools. Most kids are still not vaccinated and the delta variant is spreading rapidly. Masks need to be required for any chance at full-time, in-person school 5 days a week.

Marc Phillips (Lees Summit, 2021-08-03)

#229

I want my kid and all kids to be able to return to school safely this fall.

Mike Geanes (Overland Park, 2021-08-03)

#232

We need to nip this virus in the bud and do our part.

Alan Richey (Lees Summit, 2021-08-03)

#233

Some kids are not vaccinated, those who are can still get sick, and those who are vaccinated can still spread the virus. Masks are our best defense, esp. Indoors and if kids can't socially distance (6+ feet).

Catherine Nelson (Lee's Summit, 2021-08-03)

#234

I am signing because I have two grandchildren who are students in the district.

Kenneth Korell (Saint Joseph, 2021-08-03)

#237

We are going to see additional and more dangerous variants if the virus. Until our area has enough vaccined individuals to reach herd immunity, our schools should mask up!

Sarah Brandt (Lee’s Summit, MO, 2021-08-03)

#238

I believe in science.

Ben Wiese (Lees Summit, 2021-08-03)

#240

Public health matters! Protect our kids and teachers.

L Morgan (Kansas City, 2021-08-03)

#241

It’s the right thing to do! I’ve had people I know whose young unvaccinated elementary kids are getting sick. Just be smart ……. We can do this!!

Mia Fulson (Lees summit, 2021-08-03)

#242

Area medical professionals are clear that schools should be wearing masks. Not a recommendation that can’t be enforced even if a parent sends their child in a mask.

Beth Lane (Lees Summit, 2021-08-03)

#245

Our elementary kids aren’t old enough to get the vaccination and they deserve to be kept safe.

Bess Hayles (Lee's Summit, 2021-08-03)

#249

I’m signing because my students are worried about being with students that are not vaccinated and do not take the virus as a serious threat.

Amanda Raddatz (Greenwood, 2021-08-03)

#258

Masks protect the wearer and those around them. Masks protect the unvaccinated. 100% of elementary students will begin this school year unvaccinated.

Anthony Wescoat (Lees Summit, 2021-08-04)

#262

My kids didn't have vaccine option yet

Trevor Smith (Lee's Summit, 2021-08-04)

#265

I have two kids in elementary school and my wife works in the school district. The safety of my family paramount to me. I also strongly believe that continuing to do school in person is the most effective learning environment for our kids.

Doug Johnston (Lee’s Summit, 2021-08-04)

#270

I am concerned about the health of all people in our community. Ensuring the health of our children benefits all of our community.

Meg Rhodes (Lee’s summit, 2021-08-04)

#271

I am signing this petition because my granddaughter is a student in the Lee’s Summit school district.

Donna Korell (St. Joseph, 2021-08-04)

#277

I'm willing to protect other children besides my own when others will not step up to protect theirs.

Kim Cunningham (Lee's Summit, 2021-08-04)

#278

It is the right thing to do

Sam Theismann (Lees Summit, 2021-08-04)

#288

Please keep all our kid’s safe. Mine are too young to be vaccinated and the Delta variant is causing serious illness in children.

Deborah Bopp (Lees Summit, 2021-08-04)

#291

I want my kids as safe as possible.

Sara Bishop (Lees Summit, 2021-08-04)

#292

Our children need to be protected !

Mary Logan (Lee's Summit, 2021-08-05)

#293

My husband is an employee in the Lee's Summit school system. He also has a pre-existing health condition. Even though he's been vaccinated, he could still contract the variant from an unmasked or unvaccinated child and spread it to others including me. I have also been vaccinated but I am immunocompromised due to a kudney transplant.

Janet Thomason (Grandview, 2021-08-05)

#297

We have a Grandson who will be attending Lee’s Summit schools and I want protection for him as well as other children and youth! We are all in this together and need to do our part!

Lisa Kay Carlson (Lee’s Summit, Missouri, 2021-08-05)

#300

I'm signing for my unvacinated kids who don't have a choice yet. Please protect those unable to get vaccinated.

Matt Davis (Lees summit, 2021-08-05)

#301

I want my kids to be healthy, educated and not judged for wearing a mask. As parents if you love your kids you do everything to protect them.

melissa davis (Lee’s summit, 2021-08-05)

#303

Our kids need to be kept safe, especially those most vulnerable that can’t be vaccinated. The best way to do that right now is to wear masks. It’s getting worse, and we don’t need our children dying.

Laura Verrill (Lee’s Summit, 2021-08-05)

#306

The safety of our kids is at stake. Not only their physical, but their emotional safety as well. The only reasonable option is to universally mask until the vaccine is available to all.

Amy Congdon (Lee’s Summit, 2021-08-05)

#307

For the safety and well-being of all students, teachers, employees, and the community at large.

Diane Maupin (Lee’s summit, 2021-08-05)

#309

Masks are needed to keep kids in school especially since changing to hybrid or remote learning isn’t going to be much of an option due to state funding mandates. We need LSR7 to do the right thing s and require masks regardless of vaccination.

Jessica Jones (Lee’s Summit, 2021-08-05)

#313

I have a compromised immune system and I have a 12 year old who’s vaccinated and a 7 year old who isn’t. I can’t risk getting Covid-19, again, especially with the Delta Variant.

Marqus Rose (Lees Summit, 2021-08-05)

#317

I’m signing because my kids life is important.

Lou Neal (Lees Summit, 2021-08-05)

#318

I'm signing because children are not able to be vaccinated and they need to wear mask to be safe. Anything less is willfully endangering our kids.

Paul Wiltz (Lee's Summit, 2021-08-05)

#322

I’m signing because I believe we must protect our most vulnerable -12 and under as well as all people.

Debi Harding (Lees Summit, 2021-08-05)

#323

For a friend

Sara P (Kansas city, 2021-08-05)

#324

I’m signing because the protection of our children supersedes any “inconvenience” a mask might cause. It’s a travesty that not wearing a mask to protect our children is even a discussion.

Jade Hendricks (Kansas City, 2021-08-05)

#326

My son is set to start school this year and I would feel much better and safer with a mask mandate in place especially since he's too young for a vaccine for now

Cindy Brenner (Lee's Summit, 2021-08-05)

#332

I am a parent concerned about sending my child to school.

Erin Cackler (Lees summit, 2021-08-05)

#333

I support universal masking for the safety of all our children!

Michelle Artis (Lee's Summit, 2021-08-05)

#334

I agree with the mandate. We need to keep out community safe.

Vanessa Stubblefield (Lees summit, 2021-08-05)

#336

My kid (and LSR7 teachers and staff) deserve to be safe in school. If vaccinations are not required, then masks should be required and wearing them should be enforced.

Terri Harmon (Lee's Summit, 2021-08-05)

#339

I am signing because I hope to sun there some. I would be more comfortable if everyone was masked unless they are except due to health concerns.

Sherry Woodward-Beck (Lee’s Summit, MO, 2021-08-05)

#341

My child attends LSR-7 and is not old enough to be vaccinated.

Klaire Brumbaugh (Lee's Summit, 2021-08-05)

#342

Our only chance of ending this pandemic is to combat it universally by simultaneously utilizing all the tools at hand —- masking, social distancing, & vaccinations. Understanding basic virology would be helpful as well!

Wendy Buehre (Lee’s Summit, 2021-08-05)

#344

Our kids need protection from this dangerous virus. This is the least we should do.

Denise White (Lee’s Summit, 2021-08-05)

#352

1. In my 70s, my vaccination may not be as strong as for younger people.
2. I live with two elementary grandchildren who are unable to be vaccinated yet.
3. I live with someone (in their 30s) who has recently had chemotherapy.

Colette Clark (Lee’s Summit, MO, 2021-08-05)

#358

It’s moronic not to sign to help people protect our students & school staff. Online schooling did no good for my kids learning, so we need to try to avoid that.

Yinka Osuagwu (Greenwood, 2021-08-30)

#359

I want our kids to stay IN PERSON school. I feel the way to safely accomplish this AND keep our kids SAFE is to mask. I am an RN and speak from first-hand knowledge as well as trusted medical journals that masks work. Masks are a small inconvenience to safely meet the developmental and academic needs of our kids.
