Make Masks Optional For MASD

I don’t want my kids masked around school. They have been subjected to fear over the last 2 years. There is no spike in cases in our town. There is no scientific evidence that kids spread covid. Please do the right thing

Joe Mazza (Moon, 2021-07-25)

Students have voices and the right to decide if they want to wear a mask or not.

Jenn Stacy (Moon Township, 2021-07-25)

#212

I believe the mask mandates have gone far enough. If parents are worried they can mask their children. But, families should not be forced to wear them.

Nancy Farr (Moon Township, 2021-07-25)

#222

It should be my choice if I want to mask my kids or not.

Ted Vallandingham (Moon Township, 2021-07-25)

#224

We should chose what is best for our children.

David Ashcroft (Coraopolis, 2021-07-25)

#226

My teenage children are vaccinated and do not need to wear a mask. Studies prove the detrimental effects of mask use among our younger children due to carbon monoxide inhalation.

Nicole Chenet (Moon township, 2021-07-25)

#234

Kids are proven not to need masks. Parents should decide

Kevin Conley (Moon, 2021-07-25)

#239

Masks should be optional for our children.

Russell Kanith (Moon, 2021-07-26)

#250

Freedom of choice!

Bob Parsons (Moon Township, 2021-07-26)

#251

Families should be able to decide for themselves whether or not their children wear masks.

Tammy Stiffler (Moon Township, 2021-07-26)

#252

Masks need to be optional. Let the parents decide for their children.

Andrew Henry (Moon Township, 2021-07-26)

#258

The science shows that the children are at very low risk from Covid. CDC data supports this fact. At the very least the decision of masks for the children should be at parent’s discretion.

Carol Zeitler (Coraopolis, 2021-07-26)

#259

Not necessary for children and should be a parent choice

Annora Deep (Moon twp, 2021-07-26)

#263

Wearing masks is a health hazard and does not prevent the spread of the virus.

Karen Murawski (Moon Twp, 2021-07-26)

#265

I'm signing because I want our children to live to be free.

Helen Hertzer (Moon Township, 2021-07-26)

#269

These children do not need masks. All the science shows that they are not effected by the virus nor are they a danger to others. The masks themselves cause problems for the children.

Cheryl Trapuzzano (Coraopolis, 2021-07-26)

#277

One size doesn’t fit all. NO MORE MANDATES. MANDATES ARE UNCONSTITUTIONAL.
LIVE FREE OR DIE.

Bob Trapuzzano (Coraopolis, 2021-07-26)

#278

Decisions that affect a child’s health (both physical and psychological) should be left to parents. Parents educate themselves about the science of wearing or not wearing masks and can decide what they think is best. Masks should be optional and any kind of segregation should be prohibited. School boards and administrators should spend more of their time on education.

Jean Spik (Moon Township, 2021-07-26)

#284

I want my kids to focus on school and not be scared to go to school because they have to wear a mask. They deserve an education!

Kari Schanker (221 Lytton Road, 2021-07-26)

#286

Parents should have the choice whether or not their child wears a mask. You also must take into account how mask wearing will affect the health of the students.

Scott Elias (Moon Township, 2021-07-26)

#289

I feel strongly that parents and students should have a choice to mask themselves.

Kelly Endsley (Coraopolis, 2021-07-26)

#290

Supposedly its a "free" country...

Brad Drake (Moon Twp, 2021-07-26)

#291

This is a free country the last I heard .

Claire Megyesy (Mckees rocks, 2021-07-26)

#295

The parents need to have a choice about mask wearing. A year has passed now which provides more information, data and research about COVID to help parents make the best decision for the children.

Michele Bates (Moon Twp, 2021-07-26)

#302

I would more choice and less fear so we can all live our life in the way that we please… all of us, no matter what your decision

Talia Trapuzzano Eubanks (Moon township, 2021-07-27)

#303

Masks should be a choice!!

Megan Hatton (Coraopolis, 2021-07-27)

#306

I’m a grandparent of children in the Moon Area School District Elementary Schools and am opposed to children wearing masks. Not only is Covid not lethal in over 99% of all cases just like the seasonal flu but children are the least affected of all age groups. Additionally wearing masks promotes fear in social situations and have been proven to be detrimental to the medical health of the wearer of the mask.

Jerome Mackin (Moon Township, 2021-07-27)

#309

Our children cannot be singled out and ostracized, wearing their medical statuses directly on their faces. It is a parent’s right to choose whether or not their kids need to wear a mask, especially when the mask mandate in PA is gone for all! I will be taking my tax dollars elsewhere if this isn’t fixed.

Stephanie Marshall (Coraopolis, 2021-07-27)

#319

Masks are stupid and they don’t do anything. Let the kids breathe.

Abby Vidovich (Moon township, 2021-07-27)

#323

Parents should be the ones who decide what is best for their children.

Kim Viafora (Moon Township, 2021-07-27)

#324

My daughter is starting Kindergarten this year in the Moon School district. I firmly believe all parents should have a choice as to whether or not their child wears a mask. Masks are distracting and will absolutely impact the children in a negative way. My five year old should have the freedom to learn without the distraction of a mask and go to school without fear.

Amy Malone (Moon Township, 2021-07-27)

#325

Masks should be voluntary

Frank Malone (Moon Twp, 2021-07-27)

#328

I’m signing because i think it is unsafe and unfair for these kids and young kids to wear a mask 6-8 hours a day. Completely should be optional.

Angela Sposito (Moon, 2021-07-27)

#333

I don’t think masking in children should be mandatory based on the evidence.

Jean Manning (Derry, 2021-07-28)

#336

I do not want my son wearing a mask at school!!!

Tammy Safranek (Moon Township, 2021-07-28)

#338

It should be a choice period. It 100% should not nor ever be mandatory

Ron Schnelzer (Coraopolis, 2021-07-28)

#343

There is no scientific proof masks work, but there is scientific proof of the harmful physical and psychological effects they can have on children.

Marc Mattarochia (Coraopolis, 2021-07-28)

#344

No Masks...

Charles Creely (Coraopolis, 2021-07-28)

#346

I don't want 6 year old starting kindergarten in a mask 8 hours a day.

Nichole Sickelsmith (Crescent, 2021-07-28)

#347

I'm signing this because this should be the families choice. I believe our immune systems are strong and will do what it needs to do to get us through this. We take many measures to build a healthy immune system and wearing masks hinder that.

Michelle Novelli (Coraopolis, 2021-07-28)

#349

Vaccinated people are getting covid too! Enough is enough!
I vote to let the people choose!!!!!

Holly Mushinsky Mushinsky (Coraopolis, 2021-07-28)

#355

I'm signing this because I believe in keeping and maintaining a Normal lifestyle for my children. I have not made my children wear masks since the beginning. I do not believe they need to know about the Pandemic unless it is absolutely necessary. On top of it all I don't believe in restricting my children's breathing.

Ian Sickelsmith (Crescent, 2021-07-29)

#356

I do not support masks for our children.

Sherri Cross (Moon Township, 2021-07-29)

#357

99 percent of all people survive. That is an excellent survival rate. Most kids touch their face many times while wearing the mask. Also they are breathing in their Carbon dioxide all day. Bad for the brain.

Bob Summers (1 Parish Place Moon Township pa, 2021-07-29)

#361

Masks are not needed

Justin Weber (Moon Twp, 2021-07-29)

#362

I do not agree that our children should be required to wear masks!

Shelley Mcmahon (Coraopolis, 2021-07-29)

#369

Making kids wear masks is more harmful to them than getting covid, which they’re not likely to do anyways.

Patricia Hunziker (Moon Township, 2021-07-29)

#375

This is ridiculous. You are just teaching our kids to live in fear.

Gregory Mayo (CORAOPOLIS, 2021-07-29)

#379

I do not want my kids to be forced to wear a mask at school

Leanne Wisniewski (Moon township, 2021-07-29)

#381

It is ones choice and our own right to choose what we do medically or personally. Others have a choice to protect themselves the way they also seem fit. It is assanine to force anything upon anyone. If one feels comfortable wearing a mask- they have that right but do not force someone else to.

Alannah Falk (Aliquippa, 2021-07-29)

#386

Masks are worse then the virus. These kids have suffered enough.

Chris Manna (Moon twp, 2021-07-29)

#389

As an American I believe people have the right to choose how to live and should not be forced

Anthony Fachet (Coraopolis, 2021-07-30)

#398

I’m a student

Vivian Funkhouser (corapolis, 2021-07-30)

#399

Trust the science, not politics!
