GA is a wonderful school and one of the staples of Chaska!Claire Messer (CARVER, 2021-01-31)

This affects a friend's daughter who attends. They are not even Catholic but love the school environment so they continue to send her there. To me that speaks volumesChristina Ferdous (COON RAPIDS, 2021-01-31)

If the school closes, the parish closing will follow. With growth of housing in area, new families need to be marketed to. Charter schools are biggest competition offering similar curriculum at no cost. Why is NOTHING heard from the new principal or supportive words from the pulpit? An intention for the health and growth of Guardian Angels school and parish should be being said at EVERY Mass!Colleen Crowell (Chaska , 2021-02-22)

Sadly it appears no, or very little effort was made to contact alumni, families of alumni, grandparents of alumni, or even advice or assistance from other area Catholic schools as to what helped them turn difficult situations around. Holy Family has many supporters with deep pockets who might want to help, since GA is a feeder school to Holy Family. Most past families and alumni would try to help with some kind of donation as long as it was guaranteed to go toward keeping GA open for future generations I truly wish outreach to all areas of Chaska with large percentages of families with preschool and school aged children had been attempted, particularly with the pandemic, some families really needed their children to be able to attend school so they could to work as essential workers, they would most certainly been willing to pay for their children's schooling. In addition, no attempt was made to use either the Star Tribune, or the Chaska Herald to let people know there were opportunities available at GA for their children. Social media would be another way to get the word out that there is another option. I am disappointed, saddened, frustrated and even angry that more of an effort wasn't made BEFORE declaring defeat, and saying closing the school is the only option. So happy to hear many of these things are being tried now, Thank you everyone for your efforts!Joseph Schroedl (Chaska, 2021-03-01)
