It’s important for children to have a safe place to train, educate and be part of a shared community, when I was a child we had youth centres until funding again was reduced. Our kids have no where to go yet we wonder why people retaliate, offend and worse roam the streets with drugs. Keep our young with a sense of pride and ownership of something great.

(Beverley, 2019-09-09)

#202

This is great for the community, keeps people fit and kids out of trouble.

(Beverely , 2019-09-09)

#203

I'm signing because of the positive impact the club is having on our youth! If you were to visit you would realise the community spirit within we all enjoy

(Beverley, 2019-09-09)

#204

This club provides excellent facilities for all ages and it’s great for the community

(Beverley, 2019-09-09)

#206

The men and women have put so much hard work in down at that club bringing in youths from all walks of lives and given them something to focus on and keep them off the streets and it would be ridiculous to close it down just like that without offering them another premises at least!!!

(Beverley , 2019-09-09)

#209

I’m signing because our children deserve a safe place to hang out, get fit, learn discipline & have fun with amazing instructors we don’t need more adult education classrooms in Beverley our kids need and deserve this gym support our local kids save our gym

(Beverley , 2019-09-09)

#212

Boxing keeps the body and mind fit. It would be a shame for all the people that use the club to loose the club without been given an adequate place to train. Communities need places like this and to take it away is damaging to the community.

(Leeds, 2019-09-09)

#215

This place does far more for the community than an adult learning centre will.

Perhaps the council could seek to relocate some of tenants at Annie Reed Road business centre instead, or find alternative accommodation at one of the town’s other business centres? Waffle21, Minster House and Crosskill House come to mind..

(Beverley , 2019-09-09)

#217

I’m signing because the guys @ track fitness boxing club do a fantastic job with the kids of the community, imagine what they’d all be getting upto if it wasn’t for these guys, totally unfair evicting them especially with no offer of any help to find them any other premises.

(Leeds, 2019-09-09)

#220

My son absolutely loves going to this club and having quite bad anxiety, it’s one thing he really looks forward to going to.

(Beverley, 2019-09-09)

#222

The Track Fitness Boxing Club plays a vital and important role in the community. The guys that run the club work extremely hard on a voluntary basis in their own time with local kids of all ages encouraging them to get fit and keeping them off the streets. If this club has to fold because of the lack of a venue it will be a very sad day for the local community of Beverley and surrounding areas. I feel a lot of young people will be let down if this excellent club cannot carry on doing such a fantastic job.

(Beverley, 2019-09-09)

#225

I use the club as do my two sons aged 6 and 10

(Beverley , 2019-09-09)

#226

The boxing club is used by lots of members of Beverley and surrounding areas. Children and adults use this not just to keep up their health and fitness but as a stress reliever too. The track fitness and boxing club is keeping young children out of trouble and taking away the boxing club will effect children and adults. The gym is run by adults in which they volunteer to teach children and adults, let’s keep the gym going and help support them with finding a new building!

(Beverley , 2019-09-09)

#227

A locally run gym helping many in the community

(Beverley, 2019-09-09)

#235

Because it keeps kids of the street

(Leeds , 2019-09-09)

#236

This is more than a boxing gym. It is a massive part of the local community and would be a huge loss if track fitness boxing club are evicted.

(Hull, 2019-09-09)

#237

It should be kept open so the children can carry on doing what they enjoy

(Hull, 2019-09-09)

(Beverley , 2019-09-09)

#249

My son is a team member of the bev braves u10s and this gym was kind enough to put on several sessions for these boys each and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the sessions.
It is a great place and keeps older kids off the streets therefore they arnt causing havoc.

(Nafferton, 2019-09-09)

#256

Such clubs should be supported by the LA for all they do keeping kids active, engaged and fit.

(Beswick , 2019-09-09)

#257

Track fitness has provided a huge support to Local community

(Newport, 2019-09-09)

#260

The people of Beverley need facilities like this. There is enough empty council properties in Beverley that could be used to relocate this club

(Beverley , 2019-09-09)

#261

Track fitness and boxing club is an important part of the community helping give kids a future in sport.

(Beverly , 2019-09-09)

#264

Where else are these talented young people going to learn a trade. Let all the kids in Beverley cause havoc on the streets. The council need to take a long hard look at this. First the youth club and now the boxing gym. Be ashamed you scumbags

(Beverley, 2019-09-09)

#267

The boxing gym is a brilliant place to go my son attends so does his friends , it teaches discipline please keep it open

(Beverley , 2019-09-09)

#270

(Beverley, 2019-09-09)

#273

I’m signing this because my son loves the junior boxing sessions

(Beverley , 2019-09-09)

#274

Track fitness helped me focus on something positive during a difficult time of my life; it should stay - it’s a haven for many young people in Beverley.

(Beverley, 2019-09-09)

#275

This would be a great loss to the young people of Beverley, a well run club and facility that should be encouraged not closed down!

(Beverley , 2019-09-09)

#279

The young people of this town need more facilities like this, not less! The club must continue to thrive and grow!

(Beverley, 2019-09-09)

#280

My 9 yr old daughter absolutely loves this place. Without boxing facilities she would not get the required exercise she needs to have a healthy mind and body.

(Hull, 2019-09-09)

#283

I am a member of this boxing club and it is so important to me, and the community of Beverley.

(Hull, 2019-09-09)

#286

Limited activities for younger people in the town. We've used the club to train our youth football team providing excellent resources to others in the community.

(Beverley, 2019-09-09)

#288

They need to find a new premises for these kids they need help from the council

(Hull, 2019-09-09)

#293

I have friends that go and will miss it very much. It’s great for the community.

(Beverley , 2019-09-09)

#294

This is a vital part of our community and helps children gain confidence, and assists to keep them off the street where they may be bored and cause trouble, and to help create a healthy form of discipline, I hope to have my son join the club, this would be dire straits to remove this club

(Beverley, 2019-09-09)

#298

It is a valuable space for children in this town.

(Beverley, 2019-09-09)

#300

This is a fantastic facility for all ages but especially children and youths. The council has shut the majority of youth service provision over the last 10 years, we need local clubs like this to continue. You have a duty to support such clubs and not take away their venue with no consideration to an alternative venue. I am sure sport England and mental health organisations would have something to say. This club has a massive positive impact on young and old mental health and fitness. This decision of such short notice to the club with no support is disgusting.

(Hull, 2019-09-09)

#303

The community lacks positive activities for the youths of the local and wider area and this club provides many benefits and opportunities for youths to to gain self confidence, discipline , maintain a healthy lifestyle, compete in sport and achieve personal goals . To see the club close down would have a huge negative impact on the community.

(Market weighton , 2019-09-09)

#310

I train there when I'm home on leave. It's a good place to go and good for keeping local kids out of mischief.

(Beverley , 2019-09-09)

#314

To support local healthy activities, particularly for kids

(Beverley , 2019-09-09)

#315

Give the young and the old sum where to be

(Beverly , 2019-09-09)

#318

Beverley swinemoor estate needs this. The families need this . The organisers have given so much to this club they should be supported for offering a community something safe and good. A lot of young youths are off the streets because of this place , socializing safely and learning a skill.

(Hull, 2019-09-09)

#322

I’m signing because the track fitness and boxing gym is more important than extra class rooms for the learning resource centre (which already has classrooms attached to the side of the gym) I think that health is really important in ur mental and health wellbeing!!!!

(Beverley , 2019-09-09)

#325

This is a better use of the building than what the council want to use it for.

(Beverley , 2019-09-09)

#326

I’m signing because we track have helped me towards fitness and when’s I needed help to learn to box. This is an amazing organisation which is very much required in beverley

(Beverley, 2019-09-09)

#336

I’m signing this petition because it is an important part of our community helping many people with fitness confidence and health.

(Beverley, 2019-09-09)

#339

Its a big loss to the community

(Leeds, 2019-09-09)

#340

My Son Max is becoming a good little boxer. He has grown massively in self confidence and attends 3 times a week.He will be heartbroken if the gym were to close with no alternative premises. He is just about to start his proper bouts after having had 3 skills bouts. He really likes and respects the coaches who have spent a huge amount of time into helping him develop. My 16 year old attends the senior sessions for fitness and his self confidence is starting to really improve plus my husband goes for fitness when he can. This gym is providing a sense of community abd the coaches are friendly, athletic and professional and inspiring for young people. It really needs to continue.

(Beverley , 2019-09-09)

#341

The boxing club is vital to the young people in the area. They love it, it's good for them, it's gives them a purpose, teaches them respect and keeps them off the streets. PLEASE DONT CLOSE IT

(Beverley, 2019-09-09)

#346

It provides an important service to the community

(Hull, 2019-09-09)

#353

It makes no sense to close a popular and thriving facility for young people when there’s barely any other provision.

(Newbald , 2019-09-09)

#356

We started this club several years ago to give children, teenagers and adults somewhere to learn the art of boxing, this club through various committed and voluntary coaches have done wonders for the local community, it would be an absolute disgrace and a monumental kick in the teeth for the coaches, boxers and parents of those that have committed themselves throughout this time, please reconsider what you are proposing.

(Beverley , 2019-09-09)

#358

It’s a great place for the youth of beverley plus anyone else and the team there so an great job

(Beverley , 2019-09-09)

#359

the Club provides a place for children to learn and spend their time rather than wandering around on the streets potentially getting into trouble. The work that is done there is invaluable.
It is great for the community and needs to be saved!

(Beverley, 2019-09-09)

#360

What an amazing place in the community!!

(Hull , 2019-09-09)

#362

It’s important we keep clubs like this alive, giving children opportunities in a safe environment whilst keeping them active at the same time.

(Driffield, 2019-09-09)

#363

Because it’s good for kids my 7 year old daughter attends it’s a shame to see there hard work go

(Beverley , 2019-09-09)

#366

My son atended this boxing club and it did wonders for him.
Everyone is friendly and the instructors are great with the kids.

(beverley, 2019-09-09)

#377

It’s ridiculous how East Riding council can do this to the kids, saying that nothing surprises me with this circus of a council.

(Beverely , 2019-09-09)

#385

No more cuts

(Beverley , 2019-09-09)

#386

I'm signing because I know how much hard work people invest in making these type of clubs available to the local community and the amount of their own time they put in (for no financial reward) but to give children and adults the opportunity to do something that keeps them fit, off the streets and to be part of a club. Typical East Riding offering no support and making decisions based purely on making 'a little extra money' for themselves at the expense of something that holds far greater value.

(Hull, 2019-09-09)

#387

Why is closing? It keeps so many kids and adults fit

(Hull , 2019-09-09)

#388

This is a great club, and good for the community, x

(Beverley, 2019-09-09)

#392

Community projects are what holds people and communities together. Our councils should support such initiatives not destroy them

(Anlaby, 2019-09-09)

#395

This gym means a lot to me, it’s given me focus, determination and reliability when I’ve needed it most. Its the only place of its kind in the local area. Its allowed me to pursue my love for the sport and achieve personal goals in which I wouldn’t have been able to do without this gym and the staff.

(Hornsea , 2019-09-09)
